Ratwhisper angrily padded into camp. They were frustrated that they couldn't fight, but even more mad that Riverclan had lost. They should've been able to keep the land, but darn Thunderclan... I wish I could've had the chance to tear one of their pelts off... It would've been so satisfying! But Ratwhisper knew the consequences of those actions. They didn't want to know what would've happened to the cats that didn't show up, even when they were supposed to. They also didn't want to know what was going to happen to the cats that disobeyed orders.

After they stretched out their limbs, they made their way over to a clear spot that they could relax on. They slowly brought their body to the ground, trying to take the time to think about what had just happened. Ratwhisper covered their face, and let out a deep sigh.

~ TWISTEDKIT OF WINDCLAN ~

Twistedkit sniffed at the flower with her distorted pink nose. It was super pretty! Cowpaw said that it helped with infection. Infection? Twistedkit blinked, feeling a little confused. She wasn't quite sure what infection was. Did it mean sickness? Like, when a cat got sick? The flower smelled flowery, but also a little tangy, or not as pleasant. It was okay, though! It didn't really bother her. The she-kit reached out with one round black paw to touch it, but wobbled due to the effort of balancing on three legs, with her mangled tail not really doing much to help. She had to put her lifted paw back down on solid ground, but her toes had grazed the flower. It was super soft! And there were a bunch of other flowers, too!

Twistedkit wanted to ask Cowpaw some more questions since he didn't seem as bothered as Mother when she spoke, but when she turned to look at him, she found that he looked... mad? Sad? Was that the right word for it? Kinda like Mother, but in a different way. Twistedkit didn't know how to describe it. When he spoke, he sounded sad. Why? He called her a "dearest lily". Lily? What was a lily? Twistedkit wanted to speak and opened her mouth, her crooked jaw dangling weirdly, but stopped herself. If she spoke when Mother was mad, she'd get nipped, so she didn't wanna get nipped by Cowpaw, especially because he was so big.

Suddenly, Cowpaw leaned to the ground so that his huge white-and-black head was at about her level. Twistedkit blinked at him curiously. He was really big, but also really gentle, and super cool. But he looked mad and sad, kinda like Mother did, but in a different way. Had Twistedkit said something wrong? Did she always make other cats feel upset? But Cowpaw didn't seem mad at her, which was weird. Willowsky was mad at her all the time, but Cowpaw didn't seem to be. Twistedkit blinked when he asked her her name. Oh! She didn't know that he hadn't known!

"I'm Twistedkit," she mewed. But right as she finished speaking, Cowpaw continued by telling her that she... wasn't naughty? Surely he was mistaken. Twistedkit was naughty a lot. That was why her mother always nipped her. He said another weird word, nectar, but then started talking about how this shouldn't happen. Twistedkit was caught a little off guard by this, and she was confused.

"What do you mean?" she asked, blinking up at Cowpaw. "I'm very naughty. Mother is always mad and sad and when I speak she bites me because she doesn't like it when I speak. I'm very naughty." It was also weird to hear another cat saying that they were sorry for her. Twistedkit was the problem, was she not? Maybe Cowpaw was just being super nice, but surely Willowsky was right.

Oh, he wanted her to stay with her? That sounded like fun! Then Twistedkit could learn all about the different herbs and stuff. "Yeah, I'd like to stay with you!" she squeaked, bouncing on her toes excitedly. "That would be super fun! Can you teach me about all the herbs?" Suddenly, she thought of Willowsky, then shook it off. Surely she'd be okay with Twistedkit being gone for a bit? Actually, she'd probably be really happy. Twistedkit was happy, too. Staying with Cowpaw would only be positive: she'd get to learn about all the flowers and stuff, and Mother would get a chance to be happy!

Then Cowpaw asked about her father. Twistedkit blinked up at him, confused. Surely he knew? "Father? His name's Palecloud. Mother said he went missing not long after I was born, though. I don't know why. Do you know why?" Maybe Cowpaw had an answer? He was a high rank, after all, and surely high ranks knew everything! But then again, he hadn't known her name, so... Whatever! Maybe he knew!

|| Heather'Tail giggled as Moose'Dusk expressed his distaste of insects and creepy-crawlies, and she wrinkled her nose as if she were a little kit. The brown, dappled she-cat locked her hazel eyes on the darker brown molly, watching as he pounced on the hare and spat it out on the grass. Heather'Tail tilted her head, confused as to why he seemed to upset? She assumed it must've just been the blood, but why would that make Moosey so bothered? Heather'Tail padded forward, nudging her head up against her mates neck and seemingly melting into his fur.

She asked, a weary look on her face. Heather'Tail only wished for Moose'Dusk to be okay, but it seemed ever since the battle he had been more and more... what? Distant? No, he had always been by Heather'Tails side,, frustrated? Upset? Heather'Tail couldn't tell what was wrong, but she wanted to make it right. Sitting down, the brown molly craned her head to start picking pieces of dirt out of Moose'Dusks fur, with long, raspy licks going down his pelt. Heather'Tail enjoyed cleaning her clan-mates fur, she thought that it was a sign of trust and friendship. Maybe.. maybe something more for Moose'Dusk, though... Hm, Heather'Tail wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. ||

The metallic taste,the Smell, the sense of destruction that it brought along with it was all of what he felt. Now hitting him like a monster to a pelt. He felt heavy,he felt terrible. He felt like a burden to those around him. Moosedusk floated back to reality and realizing what he had done to the hare now hitting him. He sighed,slightly lightheaded and mentally drained,turned around to met her eyes. His own? Only filled with terror,anger and hate,none of it to her though,but to himself. To himself as he was just another burden on her shoulders,He hated having cats worrying about him. It felt as if the world was crashing down,yet he collected himself. Shoving all of those emotions down again,into its own little jar on the shelf of emotions he never dared showed.
“I’m fine. Nothing to worry about,I’m perfectly fine Heathertail. Just a little stressed out,that’s it. ” he forced this façade on once more. This happy-go-lucky shecat look on. His eyes only revealing this was a tip of the iceberg,he prayed that she wouldn’t notice the look in his eye. He was still recovering from the taste of blood in his mouth though. The faint tang still hitting his nose as he gave a weary smile. He was just trying to get her to leave his personal feeling alone. He wouldn’t allow her to see that side of him,the not so nice or pretty side of his emotions,all the hate and anger that slowly building a new shelf in his head. He allowed the other shecat to clean his pelt slowly,hating every second though,he felt like a kitten getting taken care of,all though he never had a mother that truly loved him or his sister Doghound,only their brother Deerpelt.
