They weren't a fan of waking their friend, but she had to eat eventually, and this was the best way to guarantee that. And it had been too long since the two talked anyway.
“It's my pleasure. I've been well, busy but that's usual.” Their voice was still hushed as they spoke, and they giggled as they realized. “How about you? What have you been up to?” They asked, voice no longer a whisper.
The lynx-point sat, excited to hear what Heathertail had been doing recently, taking care of her kits obviously was a main part of her life now, but that couldn't be all. Not that the young cat wanted their friend to be overwhelmed by life, that wouldn't be good.
The other cat had been keeping themself busy on purpose as a distraction, practicing the skills they hated most, but it had to be done. The Warrior has been so occupied recently, they hadn't gotten any sleep other than the naps that occurred by accident. And it was shown in their appearance. They had more muscle on their shoulders, making them seem bulkier than usual, but they'd been losing hair due to the toll of it all, and small bald patches littered their back. This was hard to notice though their thick coat, but the obvious factor was their eyes, the bright blue had been dampened, left instead hollow, and blurry.
Despite the shape their body was in, this left no impact on their mind. They were still their usual cheery self, with boundless energy, and the ability to talk for hours. Their doubts and stress still pressed on their shoulders, but they ignored it. Which is why it presented itself in such ways. #122
|| Heather'Tail | Erebus, wanna move Heather and Bright to a priv thread? ||
|| Heather'Tail sighed, tipping her head as she curled up against her kits. The brown she-cat could see how tired her friend was, even though Bright'Dawn didn't sound it; Still as energetic as usual, yet their eyes showed otherwise. A smile crept up Heather'Tails face as she listened to Bright'Dawn smile, happy that her bestfriend was still joyful, and still had the energy to laugh, something that Heather'Tail sometimes struggled with after the battle had occurred. Gazing back up at Bright'Dawn, her hazel eyes showed nothing but friendly affection for her friend.
"I'm glad you've been doing well,"
At Bright'Dawns question, Heather'Tail felt as if she was pulled right back into the territory where they had first interacted - properly, not just seen around camp - and when the fluffy cat had been ranting and ranting, before they turned the conversation on its tail and turned it to Heather'Tail.
"Ah, I've been alright. A little tired occasionally, but I've been lucky to get a few moments out of the camp while the kits are sleeping."
Heather'Tail was lucky to have kits that were old enough to eat on their own, but still sleepy as newborns, or else she wouldn't be able to get any of the time she does to go out and get a break from the camp, whether that be hunting or practicing her running or anything of the sorts; Heather'Tail knew everyone needed breaks, perhaps one day she'd be able to invite Bright'Dawn to come with her. ||
Vixenlight sat down. She groomed herself, bored.

Echopetal glanced at her mate. She gestured with her tail for him to come over.

Barkbite smiled at Echopetal. He padded over to her.

Beastpaw blinked, once. Twice. What? He hadn't slacked off, had he? The tom was tired, it took too much energy to do all that walking in one day, and he and Icestorm had certainly done what was necessary. And now his eyes were all itchy cause of the yellow floaty things. He did not want to go back out to the moor. There was a lot of fluffy yellow things that made him sneeze and cough and his eyes itchy and he really really didn't want to have to walk more. He was going to speak to the scary strict cat and tell him a piece of his mind. Beastpaw stepped forward, a determined expression on his face. "Mr. Deputy? Um, well, Icestorm and I did the entire patrol all by ourselves and other cat didn't come to help so it took us more time. I don't know who told you we slacked off, but we didn't! I promise!" Fallownose was one of those scary cats, like Duskyfire was, so he had to handle this carefully. Or at least, as carefully as he could. He was not in the mood to get yelled at. "I mean, if you really want me to I'll do it." This should work, cover all his bases and make it so no one would talk to Mama about this. Perfect.
Hawkpaw leaped forward her claws out, she slashed her claws against the tree in front of her and leaped off it, landing and twisting around to face the tree again...
* He stepped into the training moor as he didn't need to do anything for the day. He watched as one of the apprentices, Hawkpaw do some battle training. He took a step forward and then sat down. He watched closely. *
