Tigerpaw thought for a moment. "Fine." She stands up. "I got in trouble again. For the third or second time. It's gotten to the face that Twilightstar knows my pelt very well." The tabby she-cat hissed. "I am a troublemaker." Her left and only ear was pinned down but her right and only eye had tears in it.

Blaming... Twilightstar? The thought itself seem preposterous. She had done so much for WindClan when it came to driving back those bloodthirsty beasts. All Bravebird had ever known was the leader before her, confidently commandeering WindClan into a glorious future. There had been life lost, sure, but she didn't place any of that blood onto the paws of the leader before her. Twilightstar had done what she thought best.

...Except that running ShadowClan out of their home, that was news to Bravebird. No one had ever told her that, no one had spoken of it, and for the briefest of moments something in her faltered. Twilightstar had done that? The young warrior wanted to shake her head in denial but she remained still, eyes alert as they focused on her leader. Arrogance and irrationality were not two traits she would ever list Twilightstar to have, so hearing her speak about herself in such a way baffled Bravebird.

"...I don't hold you at fault for any of that." Her words were earnest, just as the leaders gaze was towards her. "If anything, ShadowClan deserved to... to...." She had been planning on defending her leader fiercely, but in her heart, learning that a Clan had been driven out, it felt wrong. Even if that Clan was ShadowClan. She wished vile things on them, but driven from their home... if anything, it added some sort of explanation - despite it being Bravebird's understanding that it had been taken way too far.

Hearing Twilightstar speak on RiverClan's and Kestrelstar's actions, Bravebird swallowed. Sure, they had been dealing with their own issues, but they couldn't even spare a single patrol? A single border meeting to offer condolences at the very least? All that WindClan deserved, in RiverClan's view, was a dip of their leaders head in respect.

So RiverClan had helped them... most of the times were before Bravebird had even been born. Though she did faintly recall a patrol coming after Breezefeather's death and Coldamber's accident. She gritted her teeth, still hanging to the fact that there could have been more, that this was all after the fact so that RiverClan could keep their precious paws clean. WindClan had been dispatched to fight with them - meanwhile RiverClan only seemed to be there for them in the aftermath.

"But they never dispatched their warriors to fight alongside us. Perhaps if they had, the patrol that Fernpaw was apart of... that was slaughtered... never would have... happened...." Even as she spoke it, she knew how irrational it sounded, and it showed in the way her gaze flickered away momentarily. How could RiverClan have known? By the time a messenger was sent to them, the patrol's fate would've already been determined. It would've been futile.

More and more of what the WindClan leader spoke on served to dampen Bravebird even more. She had been so sure of RiverClan's defiance in helping them, but... could she have gotten it wrong? WindClan had proven themselves over and over as not needing another Clans help, and it was something Bravebird held close with pride. WindClan had persevered, they had fought, they had survived. Twilightstar was right; it had made them grow stronger.

Lastly, her concerns about their poisoned claws. Bravebird couldn't help the surprise that flickered across her expression as her gaze returned to the leader. Even if RiverClan had in fact helped them in the past, at least this would not go unpunished. That their deeds would hopefully be dragged out into the light and they would be forced to own up for their mistakes. And finally, the promise of no longer sending WindClan warriors to fight in battles that were not theirs. Bravebird sighed in relief, the emotion flooding her gaze. "I just can't see how the brave and loyal warriors of WindClan could honorably fight alongside a Clan that would sink as low as to poison cats." And that was perhaps the honest truth when it came down right to it.

A meeting sounded like the best way to do it. While Bravebird - always one to have a flair for the dramatic - would have preferred for it to be discussed at the upcoming gathering, this would be the next best thing. The young warrior gave a firm nod, making sure to stand up straighter and fix her posture. "Absolutely, Twilightstar, I would love to. I think a meeting to discuss the current alliance is exactly what is needed." And perhaps it would be a chance to see the fish look into her eyes and try to lie - Twilightstar and herself might not know who this Stormtalon was, but she was curious if speaking his name would spark any recollection from the high ranks in RiverClan.
