So I was assuming that’s what she was doing, since she’s probably a former kittypet just joined.” she meowed not bothering checking the scent,” So...what’s wrong with you...” she asked biting her tongue to keep herself from saying worse.

A little female came out last. She was barely feeling the tiny bit alive but she mewed showing some sort of life now she was confused. What was she to do? She was just born.. And her mother wasn't touching her yet she couldn't summon the strength to move either so she was just a little mess laying back and mewing and mewing and mewing finally deciding she was just to hungry and cold she rolled over to what she thought was her mother she settled down at where she was at and suckled a bit she mewed quietly and fell asleep.

Dawntail licked her fianl kit, unsure if it would live. As the she-kit began to suckle, Dawntail sighed. 5 healthy kits.

Duststrike walked in. He looked at the 5 kits, and imediatly set his gaze on the largest, first born. Purring, he said: "That one should be named Thunderkit, because he will have the stregnth on all of Thunderclan once he's a warrior."

Nodding, Dawntail looked to her second born kit. For some reason her pelt resembled leaves...: "Maybe Leafkit for her?" Asked Dawntail. Duststrike agreed. He gazed fondly at the she-kit too, but not the way he looked at Thunderkit. Her 3rd born kit, her 2nd son, looked like a cricket a bit, with his beige pelt and skinny build. "Cricketkit for him". Dawntail decided. When she looked at the spot she placed her 4th kit, she was surprized to not see him! Then she saw the tiny grayish bundle, cuddled in with Thunderkits pelt! "He should be named Lightningkit, so they are Thunder and Lighting!" Decided Dawntail. Finally, Dawntail looked to her 5th kit. The little she-kit was fluffyand small, like a black hare. "Harekit". She said. "Thunderkit, Leafkit, Cricketkit, Lightningkit, and Harekit." She repeated. Duststrike nodded along, though his gaze never left Thunderkit. Littlekit was terrified. Where did mama go? One day he was curled up against her in their warm and safe nest, and the next, she was just gone. And he missed her so much. Everything felt big and scary and new, especially out in the clearing. He'd come out here to look for her, but wasn't having any luck. He trembled as he dodged cat's paws and tried not to get stepped on, tears streaming down his dark-furred face. Then he spotted a pelt he recognized.

His other mama! But...she didn't like him as much. He was intimidated by her, and had never sought her out on his own before for that reason. But what else was he supposed to do? Who else would take care of him?
The black tabby tom padded quickly up to Glidingfeather and stared up at her with wide green eyes full of fear and confusion. He couldn't speak to her to tell her why he was so scared, but he hoped to the Stars that she understood. Shaking, he sniffled sadly and pressed his face into her fur, desperately wanting to be comforted.

"I'm pretty sure that even if he were impressed, he might delay it.." Flamepaw muttered in response. It came to be in the back of her mind too, that she and Lightningkit were supposed to be the best apprentices ever but the young molly brushed it off by thinking that if Flutterkit would be the best apprentice, she her best friend would be the best warriors ever! And so she lightly nudged Lightningkit when Flamepaw noticed his frown.

"I've only just been made an apprentice - so I haven't started training yet" Flamepaw answered when Flutterkit spoke again; She was a bit embarrassed to admit it, but it was the truth.

Lightningkit turned. "Ok, I'm ready to hear a story!" He turned to see if any of the elders were willing to tell them a story. He had enough of listening to Flutterkit talk about catching mice and being the best apprentice! So he wanted to listen to another story, one that probably wouldn't put down his and Flamepaw's obvious future reign. @Snow Carrot @Estelle

"Oh," said Flutterkit as Flamepaw admitted her novicity, and was just a teeeny bit self-satisfied to learn that she was probably the cat with the most adventures under her paws. Noticing the other kit's impatience, an idea struck her. "Well, maybe I can show you how I caught my mouse then!" She flicked her ginger tail, bouncing with excitement. "Lightnigkit can be the mouse! We can pounce on him!" She mrrrowed a bit with laughter. "Elder stories can wait. This'll be fun!"

"Wait, what?" Lightningkit said. "No, no, you're the smallest! And mice are smaller than cats! So maybe we should pounce on you." Lightningkit's grin was downright evil. He decided he didn't like Flutterkit. @Snow Carrot @Estelle

"he does have a poinnttttt" Flamepaw meowed a bit absently "you could show us how you did it and then play for mouse! Since Lightningkit and I would be the ones learning" Flamepaw's side was less evil and more 'you already know, so we need to learn' thinking that if Lightningkit played mouse he wouldn't be able to learn "we'd be careful of course - right Lightningkit?" she looked at her friend.
