Dawn's heart stopped and shook when he said this. She had no clue what he was talking about, he wasn't ugly. A small voice in the back of her head whispered something to her and it hurt. She felt a dull ache in her heart, she hated that feeling. She always had the feeling when June said things like that about himself. "Jamie, you aren't ugly.. You're just spouting nonsense.."

“I’m far too fat and I’m not quite tall enough.” Jamie said. Mind you the child is 6 even and practically skin and bones, save for the muscle tone he’d built of from running all these years.
