A large, thick-furred brown tabby entered the clearing, shaking his fur of the water that still clung to his pelt. Three fish were secured between his jaws, two small ones and one large trout. Dropping them in the fresh-kill pile, two familiar scents came to the tom’s nose. Bramblepaw lifted his head, spotting his two siblings not too far off, recognizing them by their dark pelts. He picked up his trout and dragged it over to them, giving both Batpaw and Ebonypaw a large smile. “Hey! Look who it is! No other than my two favorite cats in the world!” He purred, pushing the trout towards them. “I went out hunting a little later today, and seeing as most every cat’s eaten, we could probably share this trout between the three of us.” He wrinkled his nose at the carp, flicking his tail. “No offense, but that fish looks a bit stale...”

Re: RiverClan Clearing
@Celestial
(can't remember what happened in the last post soooo)
The tom rubbed his face against his sisters cheek, a loud purr rumbling from his chest, heartfelt, wholesome. It's been forever since he felt this way, completed, happy. Amber hues were glossed over, tears were most definitely falling now, trickling down, rolling off his cheeks. But they weren't sad, no, quite the opposite. He let out a gurgle of happiness and gave his sister one last squeeze before releasing her. "I-I'm so sorry, I won't ever, ever, leave again." he huffed, shaking. He couldn't tell if he was trembling because of how frigid the air was, or if it was because of the pure joy that resonated within him. He missed her, he missed Marshfoot so much words couldn't express it. His big sister, his beloved big sister. "I couldn't do it anymore, the looks they gave me Mar, I was...I was just a Kit...." the bulky tom trailed off, unable to finish his sentence. It hurt, made the bile rise in the back of his throat whenever he spoke of it. Those glares that were shot his way after the accident, the rumors, the pure hatred that surrounded some cats made him... He couldn't finish that thought, he wouldn't, this was a happy moment, Starling had finally decided to come home, finally mustered up the courage.

Settling down the cream and ginger deputy lay on the bend of her arm allowing her tail to lash gently behind her. If she was being honest, these last moons had been her loneliest. Not only had tumblestep mysteriously disappeared but alongside him was his only daughter. Twigkit had only lived for a few hours before passing away, leaving only two kittens. A pang if pain hit her chest and she struggled not to get up and just leave, so she brushed the thought of them away and studied the apprentices den exit.
Just as she was bound to stand up and go for rosepaw again a gentle hello nearly made her jump straight up in the air. Her head jerked to the side, gaze instinctively falling upon none other than frostedhawk, her green optics meeting his Amber ones. His familiar scent washing over her a moment later, ' ' frostedhawk ' ' she responded idly allowing her heart rate to decrease and her fur began to lie flat on her back once again. ' ' you scared me ' ' she commented with a gentle, yet exhausted, smile. She settled back down curling her long feathery tail around her paws, gaze returning to the apprentices den as rosepaw stumbled out nearly tripping over his paws to get there.
She noted how embarrassed he looked stumbling out of his den ungroomed but she thought not to mention it. ' ' took you awhile, what was holding you up? ' ' she asked gently green eyes fixating on him for a brief moment.

However, that didn’t mean that he didn’t want to begin to know people. He just found it hard, that’s all. But how did he ask what the cat’s name was? To him, it felt stupid just to ask ‘what’s your name’. Why did he find all this so complicated? Taking a breath, he averted his gaze from the other cat, back to Rowan, hoping she would introduce him.
As Rowan asked him what had taken so long, he was tempted to just state everything that had happened over the past few weeks. His meeting with that cat by the border. His midnight training. He knew it wasn’t dark forest training, because he was training himself, and he was awake the whole time. But that would just get him in more trouble wouldn’t it? Dark forest cats just came to certain cats, they couldn’t always help it, but going out at night was his choice, and he wasn’t ready to face the consequences of it. “I was just sleeping really well,” he lied. “So, what are we doing today?” he asked, changing the subject and looking at Rowan excitedly.

The tom gave a small jump of his own at Rowanflower's reaction. He had no intention of surprising the molly, though he should have known there was a chance he would given that she had not seen him approaching. The tom's ears flattened in embarrassment of doing so, and looked away for a only a moment before turning back. His orbs watched her as she calmed down and her fur settled, then she gently informed him that he had scared her. He was able to mutter and embarrassed "I'm sorry," to her, though it was a mutter it was clear that the proud tom was genuinely sorry for startling the deputy. As the orange and alabaster warrior turned back towards the apprentice den, Frostedhawk also followed her gaze and waited for his friend's apprentice to appear from the dark entrance. A small smile crept across Frostedhawk's face as they waited, the tom was one who could sit in silence for awhile without feel bored or need some form of sound - of course, the white noise of the birds conversing among each other was nice.
The warrior continued to watch Rosepaw make his way over to the two of them. He felt his pelt prickle slightly with unease as the young tom averted his gaze, purposely avoiding Frostedhawk. The warrior mistook this and for a moment thought that Rosepaw wished to quickly get his mentor away so they wouldn't have to deal with the grey and white warrior. His distant and cold exterior had created an aura around Frostedhawk that made it seem as thought he didn't like other people, but the tom merely wasn't too social and would rather spend his time out patrolling or hunting than sharing tongues in the clearing. He wasn't shy or awkward, he just found it a bit difficult to really connect with people. Though he was able to really connect with Rowanflower due to the pain that both of them had experience.
Though as the apprentice stated that he had been sleeping well, Frostedhawk noted again that he was similar to Willowcloud, the warrior's former apprentice. He realized that Rosepaw wasn't trying to get away from Frostedhawk and wasn't trying to be rude, he was simply shy or socially awkward, just like Willowcloud was. The tom gave a small smile at this, but remained silent and watched between the mentor and apprentice. He knew that Rowanflower and Rosepaw would head out to the territory to train or whatever, so he would have to find something else to do. Frostedhawk felt a slight twinge of disappointment, silently wanting to spend some more time with the deputy who had become a friend of his.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Shiverkit was sat in the clearing, grooming his long fur. The kit was skinny, although with his long silver and dark gray made him look of the average weight. He was bored, as he usually was. There was nothing to do as far as he was concerned. Adult cats usually just shrugged him off, probably just seeing him as a pestering kit. Other kits were just all annoying, with them all wanting to play all the time. Sure, it was okay when he was younger but he was about five moons old now, and if any apprentices happened to walk by while he was playing with other kits, what if they would think he was immature and then not treat him seriously when he became his apprentice? He would just rather just sit regally in the clearing. Surely nothing bad could come from that.

CactusKit noticed the cat sitting in the clearing. He was really bored, and maybe he could hang out with him. He pranced up to the cat and sat down. “Hey, ShiverKit?” He meowed cocking his head at the Tom, who was also may become an apprentice soon. He was excited to become an apprentice and has started acting nicer to other cats.

Oh great. He thought with a inner sigh. Instead he said: "Hi Cactuskit, how are you?" Soon, a forced smile was printed perfectly on his maw. His manor also changed when the other kit approached him, he had fixed his hunched shoulders and low hanging head. "I'm really excited to become an apprentice, how about you?" He said in a sweet tone. Why would I want to become an apprentice anyways? To get out of the nursery? He practically spent time sparingly as he could, only going there to sleep. To learn about being a warrior? To learn how to serve your clan? He subtly etched the ground with slightly outstretched claws for a few seconds before stopping. Why would I want to be apart of a clan, when I ultimately make no difference? There's really nothing to separate me from other regular cats. What's the point of clan life exactly?

“Yeah. Really excited.” He meowed laying down. He noticed the sadness in ShiverKit’s eyes. “What is it? You don’t look happy?”

There was nothing she could ever want more than to just hug onto starling and never ever let go of him, there was nothing else she wanted to have held onto. As starling released her back onto he soggy ground she sat up and glanced at him through affectionate tears that clouded her gaze. It had admittedly been such a long time since she had bought about him, she had tried to force thoughts out of her head and to banish memories of him, but it was seemingly impossible to forget her little brother. Even now that he was actually here, it almost didn't feel real. ' ' i w- wish I could have.. Du- duh- done something t- to and protect you ' ' she remarked in an unsteady breath, hiccuping sobs interrupting her speech every now and than. She reached with her forearm up to his shoulders, nearly having to sit all the way up to place her paw comfortingly on his shoulder blade. She had failed to protect the one thing that had actually mattered to her. ' ' they ha- had been so cruel starling... I k- know... I wo- won't let it hu- huh- happen again... ' ' she whispered locking their golden Amber eyes to each other.

Hmm, he actually did notice... The kit thought, flicking his tail. To him, Cactuskit seemed the kits he was used to being around, usually he could just let them drive most of the conversation and he could go along with what they were saying. "Oh, it's nothing really. Don't mind it." He said in a slightly flat tone that didn't exactly invite argument. "So, how's your day been?" He asked, miming to sound generally interested. But, if I do act boring or that I have something to do than he'll most likely leave me alone, but I should get this in after he talks for a bit... I should probably get some prey if I can after saying goodbye and sit across the clearing.
