At Twilightstar's call, Deadmoon trotted over to join the crowd of cats that was swiftly gathering before the leader. The older molly looked a bit worried, although she never appeared particularly happy. A master at concealing her emotions, only allowing hints of what was going on behind her eye to reach the outside world. There wasn't really any sense speculating though, she would find out when the leader spoke.

As the unfamiliar cat shrunk back, Laurelpaw let out a scoff. But her look of smugness soon melted into one of utter confusion as he just continued to smile at her. Did he have no sense or awareness? "I don't care, fluff-for-brains." Stars, what did this cat not get? "Let me say this... as clearly as I can, Dirtpaw," she replied slowly, enunciating every word and not missing a beat as she purposefully messed up his name, "I. Don't. Want. To. Talk. To. You. Now scram." With that she shooed him away with one paw, making sure her claws slid out just a smidge and glinted in the sun for him to see. Whoever this was, Laurelpaw wanted nothing to do with him.
It seemed he wasn't the only unfamiliar face in camp. As her gaze slipped past the tom, it landed on two other unfamiliar cats. Bewilderment crossed her expression as she stared with her jaw slightly agape at the two she-cats sitting close with one another. They... was that ThunderClan she smelled? It was faint, but she recognized it from the gathering.
Swinging her head around, Laurelpaw first glanced at Twilightstar, then Fallownose. Oh, so they kicked WindClan cats out but decided to just let any other Clan riff-raff in?? Her gaze narrowed into a frosty glare directly solely the deputy. "Why don't you go sit over there with the other misfits, outsider." Shifting her steely gaze over to Badgerpaw, she nodded to where the two unfamiliar ThunderClan cats were seated. "And don't bother me again if you know what's good for you."

Badgerpaw held himself back from hissing at the older apprentice when she insulted him and called him by a different name. Even though he didn't know her name, he knew enough to avoid the she-cat. Really this cat is like the others I dealt with...
"Look, I'm trying to be nice and introduce myself since I'm new. But you clearly are too stuck up and think you're better than everyone else and think you're all that when you really aren't. Let me make this as clear as I can, 'paw. One day we will fight alongside each other, and whether you like it or not, I'm a part of WindClan. Who knows, one day you might need me to save your fluff," he warned with a slight growl and stalked off as far away as he could. I don't have time for that she-cat, but if she does get in danger, I'll save her. I'd save all my new Clanmates, whether they're mean or not. He promised himself as he sat down a few fox-lengths away.

Fallownose frowned at this whole debacle that seemed to have happened. A twoleg had shaken Batsong and caused them not to report the patrol, but would a twoleg on the territory not be something noteworthy to report? "Batsong, what exactly happened with a twoleg that caused you to be shaken enough not to report it? And Doepaw, a warrior is not your responsibility to look out for, so don't blame yourself. You're free to go from the punishment."
As he waited for Batsong to explain what had happened, Fallownose turned to Laurelpaw with narrowed eyes. "Punishment isn't an option. You will complete it and then explain to Twilightstar why you smell like a ShadowClan cat." The deputy might not have been right next to her, but she stank as if she had rolled in their scent. Plus, he hadn't gotten the suffix -nose randomly. "Bring back two pieces of prey, then head directly to Twilightstar's den."
The tone Fallownose used was firm, and the words he spoke were meant to sound nice and forgiving, but Doepaw still shrank.
Dang it, she wanted to screech at him, you're supposed to protect those around you, no matter what. Of course Batsong was her responsibility, as much as she was Batsong's responsibility. You looked out for cats who had their blind spots exposed, and expected nothing in return. That was just how it worked.
Or at least, what her father drilled into her.
She lowered her head. But, of course, she would never yell at her higher-ups, and of course, no one ever listened to Doepaw's reasons.
Rabbiteye took a deep breath. "Went to the Starcave yesterday, and I just came back." He decided to just get it all out. "My apprentice, Scalepaw, followed me without me knowing. While I was in the cave, he got a scare and fell on a thunderpath and was hit by a monster. Fortunately, he survived but he broke his leg. I dragged him home on a twoleg pelt. He is in the Medicine Cat's den now."
Fallownose frowned as Rabbiteye told him about a trip to the Starcave and Scalepaw's injuries. He didn't know why the tom had decided to tell him instead of Twilightstar, but he would deal with it for now. "Why did you go to the Starcave, and how did you not notice your own apprentice following you? You could have come to Twilightstar or me if you had concerns about something relating to StarClan." The deputy was mystified as to why the warrior hadn't trusted him or Twilightstar with his reason to visit the sacred cave. Was Scalepaw breaking their leg a sign from StarClan that they were displeased with Rabbiteye's decision? It seemed unnaturally cruel of their ancestors to do something like that, but they did let Dawnstar run around out of control. At least Scalepaw was still alive after being attacked by a monster, many warriors did not survive such an encounter.

Hesitant, Ivypaw padded over to the Breezerock at Twilightstar's call. She looked for her mother. When she spotted Shiningskies and Aspenstrike, she quickly padded over, glad to see familiar faces. As she waited for the meeting to start, she was deathly silent, not wanting to attract any attention to the trio of them. Surely Twilightstar would announce their joining soon. Ivypaw knew that a lot of WindClan cats would be outraged, and they had ever right to be. Nervously, her tail swayed back and forth. "I hope everything will be alright," she muttered quietly, directing the words at Shiningskies... and maybe a little at Aspenstrike. They were in this together - she supposed she could get to know her adoptive mother's mate a little more. Won't she technically be my adoptive mother as well? Or is she already?
Usually, the speckled kit didn't attend the meetings. There were a lot of cats there, and she had always preferred to listen to the news from inside the safety of the nursery. But she was old enough to run the moor now, she was six moons old, and this would be her apprentice ceremony. So what was she gonna do, hide? No, no, she would have to attend the meeting she would be made an apprentice, that was how things worked.
But it didn't mean she wasn't a teeny tiny bit nervous around such a large group of cats, and she had chosen to sit next to her mom as long as she could before her name would be called up. She just hoped she wouldn't be the only kit becoming an apprentice, and that at least a few others would be there to receive their new names and mentors as well, otherwise, it would be even more stressful. She took a deep breath and tried to inch a little bit closer to Skyleaf, her blue and green eyes looking up at Twilightstar.
She did wonder who her mentor would be. It was unlikely for it to be her mom of course since Twilightstar would likely want someone else to mentor her, but in that case, who would it be? She hoped it was someone nice at least, and someone could answer her questions - there would be many of those. But she knew she couldn't pick her own mentor, so she'd be happy with someone who would listen to her, but not someone lazy, she did want to be a good warrior after all!
Skyleaf hadn't seen Berrykit in... quite a bit of time. However, she knew that today her adoptive daughter's apprentice ceremony would finally happen. She hoped that Berrykit would receive a good mentor. If Berry ended up needing it, Sky could take her out for some training sessions as well. She shot an encouraging smile towards the young molly. "Well, today is your day. You can do it. And no matter who you get as your mentor, I bet you'll have the best apprenticeship ever."
She nodded to her own words, trying to convince herself. Hopefully Berrykit wouldn't need to experience trauma at such a young age. "I love you," she whispered softly.
Twilightstar rosed and waved her tail calling her clanmates' attention as she began the meeting. "I have some ceremonies to do and of course, reassignment. But before that, there are some more pressing matters to discuss. It's not the first time and certainly won't be the last but one of our clanmates, Cottonwish, was found killed by a rogue near the outskirts. They didn't just kill Cottonwish but decapitated her after death." The leader was aware that there were kits present but doubted most if any of them knew what the word decapitated meant. On the off chance that they did, well the queens were going to have to deal with it. Twilightstar wasn't in the best mood to be considerate right now.
"I've said it once before, and it seems that I have to remind you. I don't care for their age, their gender, or their reasoning. All outsiders that I haven't deemed fit to join WindClan are to be challenged and chased out, especially if they just walk straight into our camp and trespass. Our Clan safety comes before everything else." The leader decided against going into a great amount of detail on that. Fallownose had gotten rid of both outsiders and no one had gotten hurt. Still, Twilightstar wanted to make it clear to her clan that unless she said otherwise, all outsiders are threats.
"I'm extending this warning to outsiders that showed up at the gathering, even though Dawnstar had settled on a more violent approach, if you see cats that are not clan within the gathering they need to be chased out. Regardless of their business or reasons, it's beyond disrespectful and quite frankly disgraceful that we just let them walk in and out without as so much as a scratch to show for it. If the outsiders continue to be so bold it could cause problems with all of the clans." Twilightstar didn't think it was a serious problem, but the fact that one of their clanmates had been decapitated by an outsider was something to be alarmed about.
"I don't want cats going near the outskirts alone anymore, regardless of whether it's a one-time thing, I prefer to be safe than sorry. Apprentices, this is already a well-established rule but a reminder never hurt. You know that you are not allowed outside of camp without a warrior or your mentor. If I hear or notice any of you outside of camp without a warrior, I'll be demoting you to a kit for half a moon."The leader has gotten rather lax on the rule over the moons, but now she had a reason to reinforce it.
"May Cottonwish watch over us in the stars and hunt well in StarClan." Twilightstar finished that announcement up by wishing their fallen warrior a safe trip to StarClan. She let the silence lapse for a few more seconds and then began speaking once again.
"I would very much like to know what you all think about RiverClan and our alliance with them. The alliance was made many moons ago, not long after I took over for Brightsky as WindClan's leader." It was seasons ago which is why Twilightstar was reiterating it. "Lionstorm, or rather Lionstar had been leader then and he and RiverClan had done WindClan a great service of chasing off the coyotes that plagued our territory, helped rebuild our camp, and offered herbs and prey. Since then we have kept our alliance going with RiverClan and the leaders that have come and gone, or rather than we it'd fit better to say that I have. They have aided us more than once, giving us prey and herbs and checking up on us since then...but... " Twilightstar never really gave her clanmates a choice in the matter, but since no one had ever brought up going against the alliance she assumed they had been alright with it.
"But it seemed after Lionstorm stepped down as leader, RiverClan has changed with each passing leader. I've turned a blind eye to many of their heinous actions, but their clan is becoming less and less recognizable with each passing gathering. I'll admit that I've lost my trust and faith in them it's gotten to a point that I can no longer overlook their misdeeds. I meant what I said, WindClan will not be getting involved in any more battles between RiverClan and ThunderClan. We have never called upon their aid during our feud with ShadowClan and have triumphed on our own, RiverClan will have to deal with ThunderClan's ire themselves." As the gatherings passed, RiverClan was reminding her more and more of ShadowClan.
"They've lied to us about poisoning their claws, and have sunk as low as kidnapping apprentices. This is not the RiverClan I first accepted an alliance with. Now I'm thinking about breaking it and returning to our neutral status, but before that, I want to know what you all think. So speak, this is your chance to decide what happens to our alliance, do we break it or do we keep it." Twilightstar put it up to a vote, letting the members of WindClan be the deciding factor rather than making a call herself.
[Twi doesn't care for your age, or how new or old you are to the clan, if you're a member of WindClan, you have freedom of speech and choice. Make sure to mention me if you are speaking directly to Twilight so I can have her respond otherwise I might miss it. You got until I make a post on the 20th to cast a vote.
Also, fun fact: Despite the fact that she's been leading WindClan for like two years, Cinderstar is older than Twilightstar by a handful of moons. Twilightstar is (in moons) only like in her late fifties in age. I just make her seem super old cause she's been through a lot and been running the clan for longer than the average leader. So she holds the title as the eldest leader in terms of holding the rank, not in actual age. ]
"Question," she meowed. "About RiverClan." She wrinkled her nose. She was never a judgemental cat, but something about those cats made her nervous. Like 'if I don't behave I'll get eaten' nervous.
"If we find them in our borders, what are our options? Even though the alliance is broken, I don't like the risk of a fight. We've lost enough warriors as it is. Should we just scare them away? Or capture and bring them back here and negotiate with Skystar for their safety?"
Yeah, she was probably going to get scolded for that.

The fact that Outsiders were getting so bold was certainly worrying, especially if they were daring enough to not only enter Windclan territory and attack a warrior. Deadmoon had never felt a particular malice towards them by and large, but the fact that they seemed intent on becoming a threat might force her to reconsider. If they wanted to act like Shadowclan, wantonly killing cats for no apparent reason, then they could be treated like Shadowclan, expelled from Windclan territory as swiftly and sternly as possible.
Riverclan and the maintenance of that alliance was, so to speak, a whole other kettle of fish. She didn't pay as much attention to interclan politics as she likely should beyond the problems with Shadowclan, but she had picked up on the shift in Riverclan behavior in the recent moons. Increasingly aggressive and violent, willing to resort to tactics they once so heartily spurned. If they really were becoming a clan of cutthroats and liars as it sounded, it was best to cut ties with them now, lest they demand assistance in their wars. If they aren't the honorable clan they once were, then I think we ought to cut ties. she mewed, to no one in particular. No one probably cared or heard, but her opinion had been voiced. @Moonraven

The brown and white tom kit sat in the back of the crowd ears perked as he listened to Twilightstar. Making his way closer he listened to his leader finish speaking keeping his head low. "If that's true then I don't think we should keep the alliance they aren't honorable anymore and it could potentially cause a problem with the other clams" the brown and white tom spoke extremely quietly with his head low. He'd never been one for speaking out so the words that fell from his tongue shocked him causing a slight panic in the young cat his green and orange eyes widening as the panic of him speaking out truly set in. "I-I'm sorry! I ummm I'll be quiet!" the kit mewed quickly the thought of his vote being invalid as he sunk back trying to hide within the crowd of older cats.
