[Sharpclaw will not be joining the territory hunt]

A smirk decorated his cheek. He shot a I told you so look at Mapleface, glad to know the leader was on his side. Fortunately for the rest of his clanmates, he wouldn't be tagging along to help hunt for more territory. After this meeting, he was gonna finish delivering Blazepaw as quickly as possible, maybe hunt for a while, and then take a nap. Stars how he loved his naps.

Speaking of naps, he scowled at Alderstep, who looked to be dozing off right in the middle of the meeting. Some deputy he was, couldn't even pretend to care about what his leader was saying. At least he had the nerve to join the others in the territory search... not that it'd do anything to change Sharpclaw's ever-growing hatred for him.

It’s rather unfortunate that the clan lost a lot of bits of territory, making the calico frown a bit. She hadn’t really went to the other places before, but she had went to Wisteria Falls for a hunting patrol a while back. It was good times, but it was a rather vague memory to think about. Springpaw didn’t really like to think much about the past, but it did seem rather good to think about it now with the loss of their old territory. It’s a shame, really, but it’s for the good of the clan. Well, at least cats are taking up the opportunity to go out for an exploration to search for some new territory for ThunderClan. It won’t be easy, but she’ll take pride in it. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any ragweed in the medicine den to give to any cats to give them a boost before they go, so she’ll make sure to ask Drizzlecloud here soon if they could go wonder the territory for any ragweed. She won’t be participating in this exploration, as she needed to look after Gentledoe and possibly see if any cats were going to get themselves checked out for injuries.

Mmm ok so no taking Lotuspaw to Herondive, good to know but they werent gonna do it anyway with how bad shadowclan had been during the battle. Lotuspaw was still a little little apprentice, she wasnt even getting to learn battle stuff for a few moons let alone go to a harmful border. Just no Mudhound would be terrified of accidentally squishing their new apprentice even if they did spar claw in. Lotuspaw was just..... so little. .....The warrior might be squeezing the apprentice a bit much now.


The territory expansion got their ears perked up too but.... Well Mudhound had intended to go get their niblings for a moon now. Sure Bumblestar said no but Mudhound, predictably (they didnt even think their sister believed they wouldnt go through with it) was going to ignore that. They needed to get their kin away from their captors and back to the clan. The gathering, the battle, and now Lotuspaw had delayed that but they werent giving up and as the days went the guilt weighed more. No, the tripod was still going and as much as territory expansion interested them they couldnt. Mudhound would do a first training with Lotuspaw, explain to her the situation and that they werent abandoning her, find a temporary mentor for the apprentice while they were gone (maybe a good tree climber? Mudhound couldnt do that and Lotuspaw would need to so it'd be great scheduling) and go running off alone to get their family. It'd be hard on their system but they'd run both ways and make it quick. Bumblestar wouldnt refusing their sisters kits and if Mudhound was in so much trouble they couldnt keep Lotuspaw? .....It'd break their heart but so be it, they'd simply plead Lotuspaw got a say in her next mentor so Mudhounds actions did not hurt her.



The thought wasnt ideal and hurt and the warrior could think of better punishments but they were prepared. Which meant no volunteering for this and they sat quiet hugging Lotuspaw.


Only to be thumped in the side by a rock. Ugh why was this guy a spoilsport? His brother seemed cool! "Then just let Littlelion get it. Come oooon its just for fun! Dont be mean." They slid the rock over again and refocused on the meeting, leaning down and whispering to their plush toy apprentice "Some cats... Geez." With a grin and a giggle.

As Angry continued speaking, Fudge couldn't help but think that the two of them must have had vastly different encounters in Twolegplace, as she called it. The city he knew was fraught with dangers, starvation, and cruelty. Perhaps it got easier. When you could survive on your own. When you didn't need to rely on the kindness of others to scrape up a half filling morsel. The chocolate colored apprentice narrowed his eyes, wondering how long it would take him to get there. To such a safe state of strong self reliance.

The mention of sinkholes was quick to cut his musings short, however. Dark brown ears instantly perked as he listened, remembering the day the camp had exploded. Imploded? Whatever, it was no longer there. It had been shortly after he'd arrived, as a matter of fact. Couldn't even get settled down before the whole place burst up and he found himself homeless. Again. Fudge didn't know much about the territory beyond the camp. Kits weren't allowed outside. But... he wasn't a kit anymore. Not according to these feline's customs, in any case.

Even though he was an apprentice, it seemed there were parts of the territory that were still out of bounds for him. This wasn't good. The less he could do, the more replaceable he was. If he was kicked out, that was it. Even if someone protested in his behalf - something he doubted would happen, considering not even his mentor seemed to have an interest in him... whoever this Tigerface was - no one would be able to save him. He needed to avoid this before it happened. Before he was labeled useless. Maybe he wasn't allowed near this Hairy Hollow, but... he could go to the outskirts. He'd been there before. Maybe he could join the party? Show he could be of use?

Standing up, Fudge reluctantly got out from the shadows, his eyes emotionless but downcast. He didn't really feel like attracting attention to himself, even if he had a goal to accomplish here. Sitting down before the big rock again, the brown point kit turned his gaze skyward towards Angry, emerald hues studying the molly before speaking. "Volunteer," the new apprentice stated, knowing there was a good chance he would be looked over the others stepping forward, but feeling a sense of safety in at least displaying the willingness to go through with the patrol.

Bigbird once again kicked the rock back at him, Littlelion would not have anything to do with this. (Sorry I'm out of town)

Wait, no, Mudhound wasnt ready! Paws full of the smaller cat and fully expecting Bigbird to not be a jerk this time (lesson learned ugh) the tripod did not have the paws ready to properly catch the stone. They did their best, reached out to frantically scrabble at the mid air rock and try and re orientate it again, but it just wasnt meant to be. Wide golden eyes were darting around looking for a recipient to the rock and they alighted on Goldenhawk, near the front, and a quick glance showed Bumblestar wasnt looking in their direction to see the upcoming toss. Ok ok this was saveable then! Sure Alderstep Drizzlecloud and Springpaw would probably see but as long as it wasnt Bumblestar it was ok!

With a strong bat the warrior slapped the stone they were accidentally keeping about nose height in the air like a hackey sack sending it flying.
..... In the wrong direction.
It wasnt their fault! They'd tipped, unable to balance themselves on their stump properly especially with an apprentice pressed so close and had jolted sending the slap and so rock off course.


And now it was heading full force straight at Bumblestars head.

Oh dear starclan no.

A lot happened in that second as Mudhound watched the flying rock. They prayed their sister would see the rock in time and dodge, they went through all stages of grief, they tried to image the trouble they'd get in for this (lots) they tried to internally explain it was an accident so when Bumblestar yelled asked they could reason with her (yeah right), they panicked.

Luckily Mudhounds body, recognizing the danger instinctively, was already acting. Their paws were back on the ground back around Lotuspaw like they'd not just been tossing around a rock, they unintentionally seemed just as surprised as anyone else someone had thrown a rock at Bumblestar, the honest panic wasnt going away but that could be explained away right? Yeah Mudhound was easily found out, no sense of subterfuge on that one, but at least now there'd be a good few seconds of delay as the leader tried to find out who did that.
.....Unless someone ratted them out.....

Stricken with fear the warrior let out a quiet whine, inaudible from the Stormcrest but quietly nonverbally begging the cats around them to not rat them out, please. They liked their pelt intact, please have mercy, Mudhound was gonna cry.

The Siamese's eyes shone when Bumblestar gave her her warrior name. Hazelflash. It sounds so badass. I love it, she though, a purr rumbling in her chest. She had done it. But after the group hug, there was one last thing she had to do.

As Hazelflash turned to pad back into crowd, her gaze sought out a certain apprentice. Blue eyes landed on Cracklepaw, and superior smirk curved across her brown muzzle. Take that you ass.

Wolfmist - stars, that was going to take some getting used to - grinned as he and each of his friends received their names. It was hard to believe he had been in ThunderClan for so long; it felt like just a moon or two ago he had stumbled across the border for the first time and been greeted by Orchidbriar. He wished she could have been here for his ceremony, and hoped she was doing well, wherever she was.

The new warrior nearly hit the ground as Goldenhawk (how cool was that name??) tackled the group into a hug. As he managed to pry himself out of the tangle of cats, his gaze flicked up to listen to Bumblestar’s next announcement. Exploring new territory? That sounded sick! “I can help with one of those patrols, Bumblestar.”
