Badgerpaw looked over his shoulder at the approaching apprentice. If he had to guess, this was his fellow apprentice that would be patrolling alongside him.

"Yes, I am! Are you Dapplepaw?" he cheerfully replied to her question with a nod.

Ear lifting at the call of her name, Twilightstar found herself genuinely surprised that Fallownose was placing her on a patrol. She couldn't recall the last time, any of her deputies had called her for a patrol. It was like they all just assumed that she couldn't or wouldn't patrol because she was a leader. Yes, she was busy, but for her clan, she'd always make time for things like patrols. The WindClan leader's desire to patrol was a stark comparison to her early moons when she had been an apprentice and warrior with no desire whatsoever to leave her nest to look around the borders or run across the moor. Time really does change you, and in Twilightstar's case, it matured her.

"I'll see it done," Twilightstar meowed as she swept passed her deputy to meet with her apprentice and Dapplepaw. "So I have the paws, now I'm just missing Rabbittail." Twilightstar hasn't spoken to Rabbittail since his impromptu trip to the StarCave. The leader wasn't the type to hold grudges, luckily, but she did remind herself to look after both apprentices extra carefully. She'd let the two paws talk and wait a bit longer for Rabbittail and then head out if he didn't show up.

Nightheart lifted her head at her name. She was to lead a hunting patrol with Tulippaw to the Sky Glade. She padded over to the apprentice. "You ready, Tulippaw?" She asked.

"Now, I'd like to speak briefly about Tunneling. With Crowtooth's disappearing WindClan has lost the tunneler rank. Though this loss does not seem detrimental, I feel it unwise to continue without one, so I've decided on making Dustbunny lead tunneler in Crowtooth's absence. With her taking over handling the tunneling, I'll be allowing warriors to shift their rank from warrior to tunneler, and give apprentices the option to become a tunneler or a warrior during their warrior ceremony. Apprentices must meet these requirements to become a tunneler, they must learn how to hunt and how to fight, and they need to know the territory and our borders. They'll also need to know how to navigate the tunnels, and dig new tunnels. Warriors who wish to switch their rank to tunnelers will need to learn the latter two with Dustbunny, and once I have her assurance you won't kill yourself or get lost in the tunnels, I'll have no problem with changing your rank."

Crowtooth had been with the leader for the longest time, and now he had disappeared. Huffing, she refocused on something other than her sentimental thoughts. Twilightstar would probably need to change the requirements as new problems came up, but she doubted the first warriors had every last detail down. However, with set requirements in place, Twilightstar was hoping that she acquired more cats with an interest in tunneling. It would be nice to finally have more than one tunneler. Dustbunny did not have the same experience that Crowtooth did, sadly, but with time they'd learn, gain experience, and grow.

"With the return of the tunnelers, I'd like to bring back WindClan's Guardians. However, I'd like to make some changes to the rank and discuss with Fallownose what should be expected from cats who hold the rank as well as who and how we'll be choosing the warriors to fill the rank. So until then, we'll be postponing on selecting warriors." Twilightstar had originally thought about seating some of her more senior warriors like cats such as Batglare and Owlglide, but older didn't always mean better. It's been a while since WindClan's bother expanding their territory, and with leafbare coming nearer, it might be a good idea to see if they could expand their hunting grounds. Every leafbare Twilightstar wondered if she and her clan would suffer through another great period of starvation, having extra hunting grounds would ease her worries immensely.

With those announcements done, Twilightstar decided to wrap this meeting up with the warrior ceremonies. "We'll finish this meeting by welcoming two new warriors into WindClan. Lionpaw and Leechpaw." She called forward the two apprentices, her whiskers twitching unhappily as she waited for the two to step forward. The feline jammed all her negative emotions way down in her chest and locked them up tight while sitting a little taller.

These two ceremonies were a little more complicated due to the leader's personal devotion to her kits. There was this foreboding sense of failure when it came to Twilightstar's kin, her mother and brother died before their time, she was missing three sons, and the only remaining three kits here didn't seem particularly happy. Twilightstar was just no good with forming personal bonds, they all died, vanished, or just didn't work out. Each broken bond came with its personal toll, resulting in the leader's distancing herself from forming real attachments. Being a leader is easier than being a friend, mother, lover, and so on. She could lead, not perfectly, but lead she could.

"I, Twilightstar, leader of WindClanClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of the warrior, and I commend them to you in their turn. Do you two promise to protect and serve WindClan even at the cost of your lives?" She quired, shifting her head slightly so that she could see both cats in her single eye.

Nightheart smiled at the thought of being a tunneler. Or a guardian. She wondered if she could be both, but dismissed that idea quickly. She looked around for Dustbunny but at the mention of new warriors, the black she-cat turned her attention to the two new warriors, wondering what their names were gonna be.

Forcing himself up and out of his nest, Treewing finally entered the meeting. He sat on his own-- since he himself knew that he didnt have many friends, or . . . any at all. Treewing glanced around, looking for SOMETHING to do.
