Re: Swooping Cliffs
@ IdkWhatToPutHere
Rookscreech was exited to prove herself to her clan. The former ShadowClanner was determined to show everyone that she was no double agent or selfish enemy. She'd lacked enthusiasm for a long time. Had to admit it was refreshing, having motivation. The skinny black cat sniffed the air for prey.

Re: WindClan Breezerock
The announcement of new apprentices in the clan helped to ameliorate the acute pain of loss; time’s stream flowed ever onward, its current shaped by sorrow as well as joy, and the three fresh recruits deserved to have their names shouted with unmarred joy. Shattervenom gladly added her smooth alto voice to the chanting chorus, welcoming Patchpaw, Blossompaw, and Fawnpaw into their new path—searching, once again, for her own apprentice among the crowd. When her grey gaze fell upon Hickorypaw a sigh of relief poured from her jaws. Thank goodness that the boy was safe… Shatter resolved to keep an extra eye on him, regardless of whether or not Twilightstar believed badgers to be a lingering threat to the clan. The warrior didn’t want to think of how she’d feel if she discovered Hickorypaw had met some grisly fate…
Mentors were assigned, pairings that Shatter assumed were appropriate matches; she still wasn’t familiar with the majority of individuals in WindClan despite her efforts to broaden her social horizons, and she studied each pair as they greeted one another officially for the first time.
Twilightstar’s additional announcements passed over Shattervenom’s skull in a blur. The warrior had absolutely no interest in WindClan’s cramped tunnels and therefore mostly tuned out any mention of Tunnelers; the possibility of their leader bringing back the Guardians was more interesting, but since Twilightstar had little more to share on the matter Shattervenom found herself suppressing a yawn. Only after two new warriors were named did the hunter wake up enough to shout their shiny titles toward the sky… and then her ear was being tickled by a patch of tabby in her peripheral vision.
“Oh, Pinestrike. Great to see you.” The barest hint of a purr rumbled in Shatter’s voice, although her mask shifted not at all. “I’d be happy to catch you up, though I warn you that some of what we learned has been tragic. Ah… Bravebird was found dead. Uncertain causes. No visible wounds, no obvious sickness…” Shattervenom trailed off, swallowing hard before she continued in a flat, grave tone. “WindClan has also lost an apprentice. Barkpaw. A… a badger took him.”
A thundercloud passed over the white-splashed warrior’s facade, darkening her already intimidating expression. The ending of a young life struck her as somehow worse than the passing of an established warrior—the unfairness of it, the waste, a tragedy of potential snuffed out before it had the chance to bloom. With a steady exhale, Shattervenom attempted to put her stormy emotions aside to complete her summary for Pinestrike. “Three new apprentices have been named: Blossompaw, Patchpaw, and Fawnpaw. Twilightstar has reassigned Dustbunny as the Lead Tunneler and has opened that role up to future apprentices or current warriors… I’ll be honest, I didn’t listen to that announcement much. I’m not the biggest fan of going underground.” Here Shattervenom shuddered delicately, baring her teeth. “Our leader wants to bring back the clan Guardians, but did not elaborate on when or how that would happen. Oh—and we’ve got two new warriors. Leechpaw is now Leechscar. Lionpaw has become Dreamlight.”
At last, the ebony-and-ivory fighter blinked down at her dear hunting buddy, head canting slightly. “Any questions?”

Re: WindClan Patrols
// @GlowLight23, @Fawnhearted
>Salmonpaw<Nooooo, patrol. NOOOO, OTHER APPRENTICE. NOOOOOO, ADULT SUPERVISION. If Salmonpaw was going to go anywhere, it was going to be withOUT some smelly warrior and stuck-up apprentice making sure she stayed where she belonged - Mushroompaw certainly seemed like a stickler for rules. With a huff, she wandered over to Deertrot and the aforementioned apprentice. "Alrighty, ready when y'all are."

Re: WindClan Apprentices' Den
Snowypaw
Entering the den after a relatively long day, Snowypaw yawned. The large tom did not feel necessarily sleepy but he was certainly tired. More walking around with his mentor, although she had promised hunting training, and soon! A squeal of delight almost escaped the apprentice, but he contained it, not wanting to disturb any other cat in here. Making his way clumsily towards his nest, he suddenly stopped, his ear swiveled to the side as he heard... a sniffle?
Turning his head curiously towards the source of the sound, his eyes widened slightly as he saw a warrior curled up in one of the nests, muttering lightly to herself. Or at least... he thought she was a warrior? Truth be told, Snowypaw wasn't entirely sure who this was. A guilty pang stabbed at his heart with this realization. The quiet tom prided himself in at the very least being able to recognize most of his clanmates by sight at this point, even if he never really spoke to anyone. And here he was, unable to even identify this molly who was so clearly in distress!
The meeting Twilightstar had given only a bit earlier that day resonated in his mind, talking about cats who maybe needed someone that would listen to them. He tilted his head in thought, hesitant. He had already made the mistake of getting overly friendly with a warrior today, daring to sit down next to him without asking for permission. Should he risk angering this molly as well?
A frown crossed his features at this thought. This warrior... or apprentice, was clearly in distress. Surely a friendly face would make her feel better? And if not... well, maybe lashing out at his impertinence would help? Regardless, he would not stand by while a clanmate was so clearly miserable in his vicinity. Taking a tentative step forward, Snowypaw padded towards the WindClanner, stopping lightly close to the nest, massive paws settling down as he sat and curled a feathery tail over them.
"You'kay?" Snowypaw asked in a soft tone. Ever the wordsmith, how he managed to blurt out the whole question as a single word without seeming rushed or spoken quickly was a mystery. Nevertheless, the concern in his voice was authentic as he tilted his head slightly, an inquisitive, worried look marring his youthful features.

Re: WindClan Clearing
ebonydusk - she/her - open interaction
a set of dark tabby paws slipped under the torso of ebonydusk as she lay down for a peaceful rest in the clearing. the she-cat's dull pelt was nearly invisible as shadow slowly seemed to cover the area, and it seemed to soothe her. she felt an abhorrence toward light, even the sun. she knew that the blazing ball of fire was what kept everything growing and warm, but today, the rays seemed dry as dust. it felt hotter than a forest fire.
she watched the felines going back and forth, in and out of the camp. this was her source of slight amusement, as well as a bit of entertainment. her optics now seemed luminescent as the camp continued to darken.

Re: WindClan Apprentices' Den
Snowypaw
The concern on Snowypaw's face seemed to double at the molly's response, his worried frown deepening as he lowered his head sympathetically. His new denmate seemed to at the very least not want to lie to him, which was a good thing! On the down side, she was obviously unhappy. Tilting his head to the side, mismatched ears perked up as he got lost in thought, wondering what could be bothering his companion.
At first glance, he was still convinced that this was a warrior. Her being in the apprentice den, however, said otherwise. He also hadn't seen this cat before, so he had to assume that the only logical conclusion was that this was a demoted warrior, potentially one that had just returned after a long time away. He knew this happened occasionally when Twilightstar accepted long lost cats back into the clan. He doubted this was the reason the molly was so upset, though. She was back in WindClan! Surely that was reason enough to be happy? Unless... perhaps she had lost someone whom she was looking forward to seeing? The large tom flattened his ears at this thought. If this was indeed the case, there was next to nothing he could do to help.
Deciding he would focus on what the source of her misery was once he actually knew it instead of jumping around to conclusions, the young apprentice hesitated before speaking once more. Normally he would have stayed quiet, pawing the ground before him to let the cat before him know that he was here if she needed to talk. Seeing as how she had just dug her head back into her paws, however, he doubted she would be able to see him. She had also just thanked him for asking as well... so maybe she wouldn't mind him speaking some more before the silence turned awkward between them.
"A-any way I can help?" he mewed shyly, apprehension still lacing his voice.
