The mouse must've heard Crookedpaw walk towards the bush, since the tail quickly started disappearing. Crookedpaw quickly threw her paw into the bush, her paw landing on the mouse, she dug her claws into it, feeling it go limp.

Dovetalon took his eyes off his nephew and watched Crookedpaw. He looked at the mouse and then back at his apprentice. "If it's limp pull it out and give it a bite to the neck to make sure it's dead.", he yowled.

Dovetalon was too happy that they weren't fighting anymore. He wanted to wish they wouldn't fight again, but knew there might come a time when they'll do it again.
