Of all the flea-brained, delusional half-wits he had the displeasure of sharing air with... Stormtalon fixed Blizzardsky with a look that could singe. Listen - the tom had no qualms pushing himself. He engaged in extra patrols and duties the entire time Kestrel was absent, even reopened his wounds (to Snakeheart's chagrin), so it wasn't the extra work that irked him. It was the cat who ordered it. Stormtalon didn't consider himself petulant, but, well. How to put it simply? He would rather claw out his eyes than feed into Blizzardsky's fantastical power trip.

Padding forward with a lazy authority about him, not overtly threatening but the implication still there, Stormtalon stopped where he knew Blizzard could see. His mouth flicked into his signature half-grin.

"No."

If Blizzardstar didn't like it, fine. Exile him. Just try. The tom padded away, preparing to carry out his next 'unofficial' hunting patrol with Mistypaw

Graypaw rose to his paws at the call of his name, it felt like not that long ago he returned from his last patrol with Splashleap and Stonedapple. He shrugged though, he was a warrior and by default had more authority than Graypaw himself had. He glanced around the clearing wondering if he could spot his mentor or Tinylight. He hadn't ever interacted with Tinylight, so he wouldn't be too hard on himself if they didn't recognize her.

Sagewhisper padded silently over to the growing crowd of cats, her tall build allowing her to see the young warrior addressing them. Her head tilted in curiosity, but her face portrayed no emotion. Who did he think he was? Her tail flicked slightly with surprise as she was called to lead a patrol by the cat. While she usually loved leading patrols, she didn't feel obliged to do so in this case. She was loyal to her leader and deputy, and no one had told her that there was an acting deputy. In fact, no one had told anyone, from the confused looks she witnessed in the eyes of her clanmates. "Hmph," she grunted softly, padding forward through the crowd.
The senior warrior stopped short of Blizzardsky, joining a couple other cats who'd challenged him. "Pardon me, darling," Sagewhisper said, polite yet cold as always. "I was not aware of any changes made to Splashleap's authority, and neither were the rest of us. Would you be so kind as to inform all of us exactly when and where the decision to make you acting deputy took place?"

The she cat trotted over to her apprentice. "Another patrol?" She whined, rolling her eyes and nudging Greypaw.

Ha- wh- no, no no, he couldn't believe this. Goosefury whipped his head around to stare at Blizzardsky, jaw slack. The tom had to be kidding. After all of the crap he'd pulled over the moons, did he really think he could order Goosefury around? Think he could order anyone around?

He rose to his paws and stalked over, tail lashing and single eye narrowing. He paused just more than a mouse-length away from Blizzardsky's nose, silent for a few seconds as he raked his gaze over the white tom, and then snorted in disbelief. "Even if you really were deputy, I still wouldn't take orders from you," he growled. "Go patrol it yourself." As much as he longed to take another trip down to the ShadowClan border, he wouldn't be caught dead doing it on Blizzardsky's whim. He'd rather lose his other eye.

He turned around sharply, hoping his tail smacked Blizzardsky in the face as he stormed off to the warriors' den.

Junipersong was starting to make her way to the warriors den, having just returned from a border patrol to the windclan border. Thats when her ears perked up, hearing her name get called out. Was that... Blizzardsky? Giving out patrols? And she had been called? Something seemed wrong about all this.

Though, the thought of disobeying an ordered patrol, even if Blizzardsky didnt actually have permission to send them out, made her think of her exchange with Storm. She had been neglecting a lot of duties since the battle, and it would make her feel terrible to skip out on this despite how tired she was. And she was VERY tired. She didn't even have the energy to hide it anymore.

Each and every step, her body looked as if it could collapse, while she took a glance around to find Fiercepaw, her apprentice, and then Rootgaze. Could she even manage this? She wouldnt be able to run. Nearly a day and a half of no sleep and nonstop labor. The one thing she had was constitution, and even that was failing her. Was hunting even possible for her?

Bumblestep stumbled into the clearing at the call of his name. His fur was still a bit ruffled from his afternoon nap, and his eyes were still droopy. Why was Blizzardsky the one calling out patrols? The tom wondered as he padded up to his patrol mates.

"I'm sorry I was late." He dipped his head at Lizardfrost and Whitepaw, his skin hot with embarassment. "I won't hold us up any longer, lets go!"

Lizardfrost shuffled nervously. This felt suspicious. She decided to do the logical thing.
"I would rather go and ask Splashleap if this is authorized." she replied and headed there.
