When she first joined the clan, she had had her ideas about what clan life was like, she had done her research after all before coming here, and so far it had been like expected. Well, the thing with the twolegs had been a little unusual, but otherwise, it wasn't anything out of what she had heard. Though she had been a little disappointed in what she had seen at the prey pile. So much rotten food left for crows and maggots to feast on, and not disposed of properly.

Annoyance prickled through Owlstorm's fur, and after a few moments of thought, the stormy grey and silver-furred molly finally got to her paws. "Shadowclan! I'm going out hunting since the freshkill pile in embarrassingly low, and we'll need to fix that, so get over here if you want to come with." No one was allowed outside for one week per Dawnstar's orders, but the clan also wouldn't survive with that little food. She made a mental note to suggest to Cinderblaze that more of those hunting patrols were sent out, but for now, she could at least do this.

Icy blue eyes followed the stormy grey molly go about her day, and cocked his head a little when he heard what she had to say. The large tom was a little bit surprised that a former rogue who hadn't even been in the clan for that long was one of the most productive members of the clan. He really didn't like the idea of being ordered around by her, but he supposed the clan could use a boost in the prey department. The Enforcer didn't make a scene out of it, just moved to stand beside her, not saying anything.

Silversnake looked up from her grooming as Owlstorm called. Hunting? Sure! The silvery she-cat walked over and have the other she-cat a smile. "Lets go then!"

The young golden she-cat silently padded along the clearing edge. She couldn’t put her paw on why but things had felt suspended recently, like the air itself was too thick for her life to move forward as smoothly as it once had. A newly familiar voice caught her attention, she turned her blue eyes on the she-cat. Owlstorm had recently joined as an outsider but she was waltzing in like she knew the clan. Sunsetpaw’s eyes narrowed slightly as Badgerscar, an enforcer, joined the she-cat without question. Her mind was thrown back unbidden to the only other Owl she knew. Owlfeather, her father’s former mentor, had also made a quick rise within the clan, stepping up to assist the clan in a time of need. Until something about her drove Sunsetpaw’s grandfather to attack her and subsequently get himself exiled. By the time Sunsetpaw returned to Shadowclan, having been pulled away that night by her mother, Owlfeather had disappeared, her mother was dead, and she hadn’t seen her grandfather. The only other cat who she figured may have any answers was her father but she decided she’d rather wonder than speak to Elmshadow over something so…intimate with Goldenstep’s side of the family.

Reluctantly, Sunsetpaw pulled herself from her thoughts and walked up to the two cats in Badgerscar’s wake. She dipped her head silently at the two then remained on her paws as she waited for a satisfying patrol size to gather to head out.

Darkray lay on his side in the clearing, watching the clouds roll by. His black furred face wore a scowl, as usual, when he brought his orange gaze back to the cats around him. [open]

Nightshiver stepped out of the nursery and looked around. She hadn't yet seen Stonedawn or Bunnykit, and quite honestly, she was starting to get a bit worried. But it hadn't been that long yet, and the queen told herself she was surely just overreacting. but a part of her wouldn't listen. Heaving a sigh as she saw neither, the young molly shook her head. Surely, they were fine... Last she saw either of them the pair was together after all. Maybe they were just spending some time together, and she was stepping out of line. It wasn't like she was Bunnykit's actual mother after all, so it wasn't her place to be so worried. And yet, seen what happened to every other friend and family member she has ever had, the queen couldn't stop the worst of possibilities from intruding her mind. No no, they would be back soon. Taking a deep breath to calm her worries, she returned inside the nursery. Everything would alright.
