bearkit purred.``well, i've never met someone with that name, so it's still pretty to me`` he mumbled, letting out a little snore. he was burning up- why was his fur so thick? he contained so much warmth that he basically radiated with it. purring, he looked back, eyes lidded as he licked cardinalkit's tail, noticing it was quite unkempt. purring, he silently kneaded cardinal's chest (unknowingly). he felt as if about to faint how hot it was- he might as well..

``sorry,`` he muttered, raising to his paws. stretching as he stood, he walked out of the nursery, tiredly searching for a snow pile. snow was cold, he was hot- he was just gonna bury himself in one until he cooled down. he trilled in relief as he spotted one; just barely clumped up beside a bramble bush, covered in shadows. he sighed, trotting over to it, digging his paws inside. he dug a small hole inside of it and slid in, curling up into a little circle while digging his nose into the snow.

he didn't mean to leave cardinalkit, but he was getting too hot. cardinalkit could run along and join him, but it's a cramped space, so they'd just have to squish together. he'd carved out enough space for himself, but his arms were pretty stubby so it didn't really get anywhere.

Cardinalkit

As the bigger kitten got up and began to pad outside As the cardinal quickly scrambled after him, stopping briefly at the entrance to the nursery. Eyes going round, he stared at the outside world in horror. Not once had cardinal ever left the nursery for any reason and no matter how many times his mother coaxed him, he still refused. But now that Bearkit was outside and apparently digging a hole in a snow pile, he felt as if any dangers would melt away.

Hesitantly, he placed a small paw onto the snow and yelped at the cold feeling. Quickly drawing his paw back inside with a distasteful look drawing itself across his face. Brows furrowing, he did the next best thing and took a running leap. Luckily for him, he landed right where he wanted to and managed to settle safely in bearkit's paw print. Shifting from paw to keep them from chilling too much, he quickly hopped from paw print to paw print.

Soon he reached the entrance to the snowy den. Peering inside, he noticed it looked a little cramped inside, and so he took it upon himself to carefully dig his little paws into the hard packed snow and dig. And thank starclan he was good at digging because within a few minutes it was big enough for the cardinal to slip into the den after him. Sitting down a few paces away, he simply admired the bear kit from afar.

bearkit snuffed tiredly as he stretched in his vacant spot, yawning tiredly. the environment was as cold as he liked, with his thick fur accustoming to it rather quickly. the coldness seeping through the thick fur and onto his skin underneath. purring rather loudly, he sneezed into the snow, paws kneading the tacky and rough snow underneath. he peeked through one lidded eyelid, making eye contact with the cardinal.

chuckling, he looked directly at him, reaching out a (rather big for a kit) paw to beckon him closer. he was sure the cardinal was freezing, as the bear's pelt was more suited for cold weather than cardinalkit's. once the cardinal had settled in beside, he curled in around him, his head used as a pillow for cardinalkit's. grooming his fur soothingly, they spooned, bearkit's warmth helping the cardinal stop shivering.

much like the bird he was named after cardinal couldn’t help but feel tiny compared to the massive cat beside him. With a shaky sigh he slowly drifted asleep in the safety of Bearkat’s warm and welcoming paws.

Snakestorm got into the darkest corner, where no kit would see him, he knew he was going to give birth soon, so he laid down and breathed deeply. Hopefully he wouldn't need Larkfire's assistance.

bearkit purred as he felt the cardinal slowly drift off into deep slumber. his voice, rumbling, echoes in the small snowy den- calming as ever, being sleepy.``falling asleep, birdie?`` he whispered, eyes slowly closing as he stifled a yawn. trilling, he kneaded his paws into cardinalkit's fur, pulling him ever closer. the cub, close to closing his eyes, he stared out into the clearing, watching as busy warriors rushed past without a glance. some relaxing, though, stared in awe as they watched them sleep in the cold snow. some wouldn't dare even look at snow- and here these kits were, /sleeping/ in it. weren't they shivering? when they looked inside, they saw only the smaller shaking, but the bigger seemed absolutely content. were these kits insane, or just really like the cold weather?

bearkit groomed cardinalkit's fur in the opposite way, a mechanism to help his body warm up faster. he heard some warriors doing and talking about it so he hoped it'd help, cardinalkit seemed frostbitten at how cold it was. chunks of snow fell as bearkit tried to move around- some snow blocking the entrance. he worried, but for now, he'd warm up the bird before panicking.

Snakestorm now had two newborns pressed against his stomach, he swore to protect them and named one of them Ferretkit and the other Prismkit. Ferretkit was a gray tom with black legs and Prismkit a tortoiseshell.

My, it had been quite some time since she'd last held a lesson. Her last lesson had been with a warrior, even, seeking information on ShadowClan's past. She hoped she hadn't forgotten everything within that time... Although she supposed everything was a bit difficult to forget, try she might in the past. Time had passed and Nightshiver had long since come to understand she never would get rid of the nightmares or memories of the past; it made her wonder why she took on teaching this class in the first place - somehow, she couldn't remember. And yet whenever she saw the faces of these curious kits wanting to learn, it made her... Happy. She couldn't quite explain it, but perhaps their happiness and curiosity are why she kept on giving this lesson. And today was...
"M-Minkkit.., Car..dinal.kit, Eve..Eveningkit, ...Sleepy..kit. It's.. for your... lesson."
The gentle white queen called softly, smiling at the little ones should she spot them, turning to lead the way to the Playden where the lesson would be held. Among this little group she was most familiar with the fast-growing Sleepykit, though she was certain the other three were lovely and kind.

Hearing the gentle queen's call - the one who so often looked after her when mama was busy - Sleepykit silently got up and politely followed her to the Playden. Three moons old and this was the first time the little black and white kitten was here, and though her face was expressionless and calm, she was quite looking forward to learning about ShadowClan's history... Certainly it would help her follow in her mama and grandmama's paw steps.

Eveningkit - [female, she/her]
A slightly rambunctous she kit with fuzzy, smoky black fur and disproportionately large eyes, ears, tail, and legs.

Eveningkit's large ears imediately pricked up and swivled around at the sound of Nightshiver calling her name. Excitement coursing through her for her first lesson in the play den, she bounded over to the queen skidding to a halt beside her, cartoonishly. Except.. she misjudged how fast she could/would need to stop, which caused her fall flat on her face with her too-long-legs sprawled out under her. If this bothered her, however, there was no indication as she quickly untangled her limbs and righted her self, before sitting politely next to thw white-furred she and waiting eagerly for the lesson.
