The topic of the meetings drew a shrug from him, and a casual, "If there's a way to write a message to the stars and receive it, or something equally untroubling, then sure." His meow lacked conviction, taking a more 'what will be, will be' approach to life and seeing very little practicality in the medicine cats getting together. "Otherwise... that's getting to be a lot of work for you. Wouldn't want you to have to strain yourself with all that traveling."

She wasn't quite sure what he meant by "If there's a way to write a message to the stars and receive it" but she mentally shrugged it off as he finished speaking, nothing really clarified what he said. "I have walked for many seasons my body afford to walk a little more, I may be an old cat but that doesn't mean I can simply lay around and let myself die. Healing and helping others is my purpose in life, I'm not sure how much sharing information to you will help but I'm willing and able to do it." She was kind of getting tired of cats saying that she was old and frail, old maybe, but not so frail.

Re: RiverClan Territory
@ RedHead @ Cave
Scarfang stepped through the reeds, walking towards the river. Stormdream and Cricketpaw were behind him. He was pleased to be chosen to lead a patrol, as he hadn't been in a long time. As they reached the river, he turned around.
"Okay. I don't want to disappoint Lionstorm, so I want each of us to catch at least two fish. Stormdream, take the left path, Cricketpaw take the right, and I'll go straight. We will meet back here after we are done, okay?"

"Might I suggest farther upstream? The fish may be smaller, but it's less likely that they'll have been scared off from that encounter, so there's bound to be more of them." He looked to the patrol for approval, his tail twitching as he walked.
He noticed Riverpaw's apprehension, and wondered briefly what he could do to make the young cat more comfortable. It was easy to read from her expression how nervous she must be feeling. He wondered what had happened to her that had made her feel that way.

@The Cannibal
Maybe this wouldn't be to bad. The two warriors didn't seem bad. Yet she felt weird being with one RiverClan warrior and one SkyClan warrior. Slowly following the two warriors into the territory she hasn't been put much lately. Ears twitching Riverpaw kind of got lost in her own thoughts not quite listening.
The word dog caught her attention and she fluffed up thinking Eagleflight was talking about a dog then. After sniffing the air the smell silver molly ended up not with embarrassment. There's no dog, he was talking pass tent. River realized. Lowering her head again she kept walking watching the warriors' paws.
When Eagleflight stopped briefly the molly almost walked into Barbedfall, before quickly stepping back. he didn't even fully stop. Looking a little more alert Riverpaw continued walkin. Hunt up steam? As long as they weren't going to run into dogs she was fine. "Your the warriors." She meowed hesitantly.

"We'll have to stay vigilant as Lionstorm said," he noted. "If no cat has hunted near the seastones in a while, there's bound to be some sort of predator that's decided to snake its way into our territory. And if there is, we'll likely have to chase it out." He didn't like the thought of leading his patrol into danger, but it was an issue that needed to be addressed regardless. He was prepared. He lead the way to the river and followed it along the path to the seastones, listening carefully for any sign of the dog that had attacked his last patrol. Thankfully, the coast seemed clear. Of dogs, at least.

@~Silverkit~
Feeling a bit less nervous then the last hunting patrol Riverpaw gave Moonstream a respectful dip of her head in greeting. At least this time she was with two RiverClan cats. Though she still didn't know them well. Following along silently she tried to stay focused which was hard for her. She had no idea how to get where they were going. In the eleven moons she was alive she'd been to one gathering. She was fine with that too! That gathering almost gave her a panic attack. It was chaotic.
At Eagleflights mention of predictor she paused a moment. "W..wiat, what type of predictors?" She asked nervously. This didn't sound good. She wasn't good at fighting! What if it was a fox? Or worse a badger?! This was bad. She wasn't trained in fighting very much. Her mentors kept leaving her! Now nervous and deep in thought River was slightly bristled as she walked.

(For Sunhigh Prey Social Patrol) @ The Cannibal
Eagleflight was quiet for much of their walk, occasionally glancing back to make sure that Riverpaw was keeping up fine. He was concerned for the apprentice whose life seemed to be so troublesome. She looked to be warrior-age, yet fate seemed to have been cruel to her.
He followed close to Barbedfall, striding along until he heard more clearly the familiar rush of the river. His paws tingled with excitement at the thought of sinking his claws into a big, juicy fish.
(For Hunting Patrol) @ ~Silverkit~
"It's usually badgers or foxes that try to move in when we've got our backs turned," Eagleflight confirmed. "We've just got to make ourselves known now and then to remind predators that we own this place." He felt like he could hold his own against a fox or badger at least for a little while, but he couldn't suppress a feeling of concern for Riverpaw. He knew her training had been inconsistent, and he hoped she was equipped with enough skill to assist in driving something out. With any luck, however, it wouldn't come to that. The russet-red tom sent a silent prayer to StarClan in hopes that his patrol would avoid danger.
"We may as well start here," He announced once they'd made good progress down the river. They were far past where the dog had attacked, which made him feel better. "I keep seeing fish leap out like they're waiting for us to catch them. We'll catch what we can here and make our way further and further towards the Seastones." Looking at the rushing, bustling river, he felt confident that his clan would eat well tonight. He positioned himself at the bank of the river, raised a paw slowly, and lashed out in the blink of an eye. He snagged a decently sized fish out of the brackish water, and dispatched it with a bite as it flopped about on the ground. Covering it in sand, he went back to his position to catch another.

The young tom swallowed down a retort to Scarfang’s instructions, instead going for a glare aimed at the back of the tom’s head as he followed. He cast a look towards Stormdream, giving his mentor the semblance of a smile. “I know how to fish, by the way. My old mentor taught me that.” He meowed, figuring that would be important to mention to the older tomcat. He didn’t mention however, that he was terrible at fishing. He’d just try extra hard and be extra careful today.
With that, he flicked his tail and moved through the reeds, coming to the edge of the rushing river on the side he hadn’t been instructed. Blue eyes narrowed as he stared at the water, still as stone, awaiting possible prey.

Blazepaw plodded behind Fennelheart, his ears slightly turned up as he listened to the noises around. He was slightly worried for this patrol, even though he had gotten better at hunting on this territory trough training with Frostflight. “Ready as I’ll ever be.” He responded with a smile, tail flicking. He didn’t like the thought of having to go near water again. He’d rather go find some sturdy trees to climb, and keep the wind in his fur. Not soak it with the frigid water. He chanced a look to glance at the other apprentice on the patrol with him, not looking for long as he refocused his gaze on the path.

Crouching down, he crept forward towards the bird who was turning to peck at more things.
He shouldn't be doing this, they should. They would be way better at land hunting right? Shaking the thought from his head, Peachpaw got close enough to the prey he could jump.
Shifting slightly, he prepared to leap but the bird seemed to sense him first, letting out a loud caw of warning. In a quick panic, he jumped into the bird, crushing it slightly before awkwardly killing it with a bite to it's neck.
|
@ Dust ((aaahh sorry for the late reply, I totally forgot about this!!))
Glazewing followed from a distance and watched as the RiverClan apprentice stalked and killed the bird. "Nice job! Peachpaw, right?" he praised. "Do you two want to keep hunting around here, or should we head to the river to let this true RiverClanner teach us how to fish?" The young warrior had never actually learned to fish yet, and if he was being honest, he didn't really want to know how. But he was trying to be nice. Glazewing hated the river. He felt so out of place in RiverClan, especially since he couldn't stand getting his paws wet. His thick pelt just weighed him down in the water, and his small paws only made it more difficult to keep his head above the water. He'd much rather prefer hunting up in the treetops, jumping from branch to branch and catching birds and squirrels where they least expected it. His pads were callused from his days of climbing, and his legs were much more accustomed to leaping high and pulling him up tree trunks. He was suggesting to learn how to fish because he wanted to break some of the tension and awkwardness in the air, and he wanted to try to understand RiverClan life.

@BILL.
Coastpaw padded out of camp and into the territory after Fennelheart and Blazepaw, an excited bounce to his step. This was his first hunting patrol without Fallenstar, which was exciting, but he also would get to go hunting with Lionstorm, the deputy, which was also very awesome to the young apprentice. Blue hues looked over shoulder to said tom, a large grin forming on his maw. He knew Lionstorm didn't like the SkyClanners that much, but he hoped the golden tabby knew he had Coastpaw's vote in this patrol. "I'm ready," He chirped, gaze not leaving Lionstorm. It was clear he awaited instructions from his deputy, figuring that he would be the one in charge.

Re: RiverClan Territory
To say Lionstorm was happy to be on this patrol was a lie. He wasn't, by any sense of the word, pleased with this. The apprentices were fine-- he didn't mind Coastpaw, he seemed solid for something Fallenstar was training, and despite Blazepaw's traitorous mentor he also seemed.. decent for a SkyClan cat. But Fennelheart?
If anyone sucked the life out of this patrol, it'd be that brooding excuse of a SkyClan warrior. There was always some sort of attitude with her, and he was tired of it. "We should head toward the border with Seastones," he said loudly. "A lot of patrols will be going toward the river. We can avoid stumbling into someone if we head upstream."
