Wolffang stopped next to Fawnpaw. At least she had waited by the camp entrance for him, but he could tell from her body language that she was impatient. The end of his tipless tail twitched; he remembered being an apprentice, thinking that the world was his and being bored of waiting for the older cats to catch up. But, although I had much to work on, I showed respect to my superiors. Fawnpaw wasn't being disrespectful, of course; he was just reminiscing. These thoughts flashed through his mind in the time it took for his bright yellow gaze to settle on her. "Patrols usually gather by the Breezerock, where Fallownose calls them," he informed the light brown she-cat. His tone was serious as usual, but it was also mild - it wasn't like he was scolding her. "Come on. Let's go." He padded out of camp and immediately fluffed out his thick, medium-length fur against the chill that greeted him. His nose was cold, but the familiar scents rushing toward him made him disregard it: the long grass, the heather, the peat.
He glanced back to make sure Fawnpaw was with him, then asked, "How much hunting do you know?" He should get a grip on the apprentice's knowledge. If she didn't know much, he could teach her, and if she knew enough, they could focus on hunting together and bringing back as much as possible for the Clan. I'll make sure that we bring enough back either way. Wolffang wasn't going to end his first patrol back empty-pawed.
Vinetail caught another piece of prey, turning to Hemlockheart pleading with her eyes that they could go back and be done. Nothing was going on here anyway.
The WindClan deputy was speaking and Irispaw listened, hoping that he believed her. Judging from his response, she guessed that he did, thankfully.
Irispaw wasn't sure what to feel when Fallownose told her that her former mentor Snapclaw had gone missing. That had been her second mentor - her first one, Moosecrash or something, had probably gone missing too. The slate-grey she-cat nodded and parted her jaws to reply to Fallownose's question.
"Not really," she said tentatively. "It was mostly me trying to find my way back to familiar territory." Irispaw recalled hurrying through trees at night, hoping that if she was on Clan territory, she wouldn't be caught. It had been terrifying. Irispaw tilted her head up to look at the deputy, wondering what his response to her answer would be.
Fallownose felt a flash of relief go through him when Irispaw said she hadn't encountered anything. While it would have been nice to have more information, he would never want an apprentice in a dangerous situation that they weren't prepared for. "Well, I'm glad you found your way back. Let's head to camp so you can get settled in," he said, turning and padding back the way he came and motioning for her to follow.

He dipped his head, “I am terribly sorry ma’am, I don’t know what happened. I bumped my head hard on a tree chasing after a rabbit and stumbled around for a while then I got lost… I wanted to ask, could you give Moonpaw a better mentor? I believe Moonpaw deserves a better mentor than me”
Twilightstar narrowed her eyes, obviously not super happy with such a pitiful excuse. "Moonpaw's already been reassigned," She responded with a twitch of her full ear. "If you can't handle watching where you're going what right do you have to call yourself a warrior of WindClan?" She's heard so many excuses for cats getting lost, it was one thing for apprentices and kits, but another thing for warriors. WindClan didn't even have more than a few trees. "Perhaps you should go through training again?"

The WindClan leader had been sitting outside the camp near the entrance, not quite guarding the camp, just watching the moor. The sun was shining bright, however, despite the golden wash of light, it was still cold. Twilightstar glanced over her shoulder at the camp once more, thoughtfully, before getting to her paws for a walk to get her blood flowing instead of freezing.
As her paws brought her past some overgrowth, browned with frost, her green eye gleamed in the sunlight as she spotted the lone cat moving towards her, or rather towards camp. The wind was blowing the wrong way so catching a scent was not a possibility right now. Sighing, she scanned the moor once more with her eye and then padded in the direction of the cat. A tall white tom with tabby spots stood before her. "Spiderclaw?" Her tone was a bit incredulous as stared at the state the cat was in. The warrior's been gone for at least two seasons, where in StarClan's name has he been?

Darkriver walked through the Windclan camp and over to what one cat had told him was the leaders den, sitting near the entrance, he waited till he was admitted in. Breathing slow he went over what he was going to say, my name is Darkriver, I am from Riverclan, I have come to be with my mate Willowgaze. Breathing slow he tried to calm down. Now you can't blow this, its for Willowgaze and you can't let her down waiting he started to observe the Windclan camp.
The lilac-gray she-cat fur bristled just slightly at the sight of the stranger roaming around in her camp. She did wonder who in the world just let him walk inside. The WindClan leader was seated outside of the den, green eye narrowing as the tom walked over to her. She wasn't completely familiar with him, thankfully he was bright enough to introduce himself to her. Oh, it was another cat looking to join for love. "Darkriver, as sweet as that is, simply letting you join WindClan out of love isn't going to be enough for me. What is it that you're offering WindClan?" She was looking for something specific, but wasn't going to say what.

The young Persian didn't receive much training, so all of this- including speaking to a Clan leader, was completely new to him. He could sense now that he had accidentally walked right into WindClan territory and stepped back a bit, hoping he was on the other side of the border.
"I never learned Clan scents... sorry for stepping into your territory," he dipped his head once more and waited to hear what Twilightstar would say.

Great, another new face? Twilightstar picked up her pace as she bounced over to the border where a young tom cat was standing slightly over the scent marks. She cocked her head, unable to place where she had seen him if at all. He didn't smell like a clan cat, but he acted respectfully like one. Thankfully, he didn't make her wait long when it came to answers.
Oh, another former ShadowClanner? At Twilightstar wondered what Dawnstar was doing to run her cats off, but hearing about the issues with twolegs made more sense. Her concerns about him abandoning his clans because of hardships melted away when he told her that he had been searching for a place for ShadowClan to stay. Courageous, but not very bright. He should have informed his leader before running off on his own. Confusion danced within her only eye as Maplepaw said he drowned. Had StarClan gifted him another chance? If they did he didn't clarify.
"Okay, so basically you are here because you fear Dawnstar." Twilightstar reiterated in a curious tone. Technically, that really should be a valid reason to abandon your clan, but considering that Dawnstar scared the WindClan leader a bit, Twilightstar understood the desire to serve a clan out of anything other than fear. "Well, I don't particularly mind taking you in, we have room to spare in the apprentice den. However, the whole running off without permission is a problem no matter how good your intentions were. I'd also like to know why WindClan?"
Bright was still extremely happy to be home, joyous even. So much so that they were actually staying in camp. Which was very unlike them. Usually they would make their bed in some random dip in the moor, falling asleep under the stars. The sound of crickets filling their ears. But for some reason they actually missed sleeping in a den full of cats when it was no longer an option.
Of course there were some demons that still haunted them. The lynx-point saw Heathertail in every brown pelt they saw in the back of their vision. They had brought prey to the nursery a couple times, expecting to see her amoungst the queens. It was all so difficult. Sometimes when they woke up it was like the last few months never even happened and it like it was before , like how it should be.
They hated it.

It was really hard for the young tom kit to fall asleep. He was more of a night owl than he was a sleeping during the night. So with that Fogkit sneaked past his mother and headed out into the cold air. His fur fluffed up and his good eye looked on at the few cats that were out of the den. He didn't want to get spotted or he might get forced back into the nursery. His mother wouldn't be too pleased to find him have wandered off.
Fogkit moved over to a secluded place in camp and sat down. He moved his body until his legs were nicely underneath him. He wrapped his long tail around him in hopes it would help keep him warm. Fogkit moved closer to the camp walls to see if it would help. It seemed to do some good so he laid there thinking of just random kit things. Right close by he could see Brightdawn nearby. He tried his best to hide himself, but the white part of his fur just might give him away.
On a really good stride on here and Barleypaw is really close to getting her post counts finished for her training. If there is anyone who needs a cat to help with anything feel free to VM or pm. I want her to be more active along her clanmates.

Hemlockheart had managed to snag a mouse or two. The cold was unpleasant on his short calico pelt. "We could go now. Although I'm not super happy with the amount we got." he replied, a shiver running down his spine.
