Words of gratitude following his confirmation, Snowybreeze's gaze softened slightly before he shook his head, a silent assurance that no thanks were needed. Answering questions for a clanmate could hardly be called a favor in his eyes. The young tom was always happy for a chat, even if he preferred to be the one being spoken to for the most part. Still, he could hardly fault Wolffang for wishing to ensure he was polite. Snowybreeze himself was constantly - even if less so than before - fretting over ensuring his words wouldn't accidently harm a clanmate's feelings with blunt rudeness. Certainly he wasn't the only cat like that in WindClan!
The soft look on the patched tom's face slowly morphed as Wolffang continued speaking, his eyes growing slightly rounder in surprise, caught entirely off guard by the gray warrior's request. Deadmoon. It seemed like so long ago now his beloved mentor... former mentor had been mentioned by any cat other than himself, and even then, he mostly kept her name in his mind and heart. Her name alone would have been enough to surprise the massive warrior, but when mentioned alongside Bravebird, Snowybreeze couldn't help the plummeting feeling in stomach. The addition that Wolffang was Deadmoon's older brother - half or otherwise - simply added to his shock, although it seemed to click comfortably in his mind.
He wondered for a moment if it was just his heart playing tricks on him, wishing to see Deadmoon at least one last time, but for a moment he could almost see a resemblance between the two, a twist of nostalgia and affection playing a cruel joke on his dwindling hope for her return. Snowybreeze kept his ears alert as he focused on Wolffang's questions, although he couldn't help the dread he felt creeping up inside as he bottled it up, refusing to let it surface. He would be the bearer of bad news today, but his fear of the disappointment he was about to unleash upon the gray tom was nothing compared to what Wolffang would be feeling once he heard. He would keep his composure, for Wolffang's sake. Because if this tom was Deadmoon's brother, he was as good as family as far as Snowybreeze was concerned, and he would put his companion first, just like he knew Deadmoon had done so often with him.
As Wolffang finished his questions, amber gaze burning on Snowybreeze's blue, the gentle giant couldn't help the nervous twitch on his dark ear before he dipped his head again, a sign of regret for what he was about to say, empathy for the pain he was about to cause for the senior warrior, and respect for those who no longer ran the moors with them. Another shake of his head, slow this time, meticulous as his gaze turned to his massive paws momentarily, paws that Deadmoon had helped gain coordination, removing clumsiness and instead focusing on making them strong. An asset for her apprentice instead of the burden he had so long been used to seeing them as. His eyes stinging slightly as he felt a flurry of emotion for his missing former mentor, he couldn't bring himself to start with her, instead focusing on Bravebird instead. Another painful loss for the gray warrior, no doubt, but having happened long enough for the gentle giant that it seemed an easier thing to process.
And the one with the certain answer... no matter how bitter.
"I'm afraid," Snowybreeze mewed in a soft, low tone, turning his gaze back upon his companion before continuing. "Bravebird is no longer with us." The tom paused here, giving Wolffang time to process what he'd stated before continuing. While unsure of the entire story, Wolffang deserved the information Snowybreeze could share on the matter. "She was found alone in WindClan's territory. I'm afraid I don't remember where. I do remember she was found with no wounds in her body, and no signs of attack."
The patched warrior stopped here, frowning lightly as he scoured his memory. Who had found her body? His whiskers twitched with mild frustration as he realized it was someone he should know... someone who he'd spoken to recently, perhaps? Or someone whom he'd heard about- Ears perked up as he remembered his latest outing with his beloved friend, Berrypaw. She had just spoken so highly of her mentor...
"Peachfrost," he mewed lightly, clearing his throat as he realized he'd just blurted out the warrior's name without context. "She was the one who returned. With Bravebird... I believe." Snowybreeze fell silent here, his voice trailing away as he allowed Wolffang the needed time to process this. True, he was uncomfortable at the idea of admitting out loud that no sign of Deadmoon had been found since she had vanished, but this was not an attempt to stall. He would not do Bravebird the injustice of having her memory pushed to the side for other cats, no matter how dear to his heart they were. Every WindClanner was important and worthy of respect. Wolffang would let him know when he was ready to move on.
The small she-cat padded into the apprentice’s den. Her tail drooped with exhaustion. Antfire and she went hunting. She caught an awfully lot of bunnies! One does get quite skilled after some training, She thought. She plopped down into her comfortable nest and shuffled around before curling her tail and closing her eyes. Maybe she could have a little nap, just to have some rest. Briarpaw open her jaws to yawn and curled up into a ball and fell asleep
.
Pumpkinpaw gazed around his new home with wonder. It was different than what he was used to, but the young tom's squished face glistened with curiosity instead of disgust.

His grey fur ruffled by a chilly breeze, Stonehe- Stonepaw, now, sighed. He needed to get ahold of himself. Not training his apprentice, missing patrols... And now look where he was. Back to being an apprentice. Stonepaw trudged over to the camp entrance, then stopped. Technically, he needed another warrior with him.
The grey tabby straightened his back, determined not to be set back or disheartened by this... Situation. He looked around for somecat who could leave camp.

Badgerpaw was on his way to a sunny spot to groom his rather wet and cold bi-colored pelt, but stopped short as he heard the familiar voice of the deputy beckon him into the kit corrals along with a few other Clanmates: Violetpaw, Littlekit, and Basilkit. Oh, I forgot about that!"Coming, Fallownose!" he mrrped and padded to the new den, taking a moment to look around before sitting down and grooming his fur. "Really? No apprentices other than me and Violetpaw wanted to learn Clan Relations? Oh well, their loss."
The tom shrugged and peered his soft green eyes at his new kit companions. I wonder what it's like to have family in other Clans... I don't even really have family in any Clan, but I suppose I will one day. When I'm a warrior.

Ashclaw padded into camp with some small snowballs stuck in his fur the tom disliked the cold but endured it and continued moving" Cowpaw..." he mumbled padding over" i found 4 Mushrooms i assume the rest are under the snow i tried digging some up but didn't found any so i just looked for the ones that was sticking up" he said shivering the tom shook his cold snowballed fur but none of the snowballs fell off
For all her recent bravado in attempting to open up more with others, Berrypaw still considered herself a coward. And currently, that cowardice extended towards the weather. Laying here now, curled up tightly in her nest, staring out the den entrance at the mix of rain and now splattering the ground, Berrypaw felt a shudder wrack through her body. Discomfort itched at Berrypaw's nose for a moment, and then, a quiet sneeze. Oh dear, she really hoped sickness was not a thing right now. Heterochromatic hues watched the entrance through slitted eyes. At least today was an off day from training, because Berrypaw was sure Peachfrost wouldn't punish her for not wanting to be out in this rain and cold. Just the thought itself had the ball of cream and black fluff shivering once again in her nest. Why, oh why couldn't she have been born with warmer fur?
Wrapping her plumed, fluffy tail around herself to rest the tip on her ice-cold snout, Berrypaw's vision fell on one of the many trinkets lining her nest. For a few moments, she stared at them, and then her gaze melted, warming with the memory each of them held. There was the smooth, round shiny stone she'd found on her first outing with Pouncestone (although, thank the stars that adder hadn't got to her while she was distracted). Then there were the two falcon feathers. Both of which didn't look very different, but both of which held significant memories. The first, a kestrel feather, from the time Snowybreeze had shared his catch with her in the clearing. And the second, a falcon feather Berrypaw had been batting at the day she'd bonded with Fallownose. Fallownose, who'd been so unexpectedly kind to her. Fallownose, who was seeming to become more and more of a father-figure to Berrypaw. She didn't know who her real father was, but Berrypaw hoped he had been exactly like Fallownose.
Tears glistened at the corners of the speckled molly's mismatched eyes for a few moments, but she swiped them away, pulling her collection of trinkets towards herself. Towards her heart. She needn't cry. She needn't be so emotional. But Berrypaw could not help it. She'd found family, from Peachfrost's motherly doting to Fallownose's warm smiles. But above all, she'd found a friend. After Tawnypaw's disappearance, Berrypaw hadn't expected to ever again make friends. Especially when Shiningmoon had passed, and then Skyleaf as well had disappeared. It had made her feel cursed for a while, that maybe perhaps she didn't deserve being happy. That everyone she decided to love disappeared.
Slender paws kneaded anxiously at the mossy nest beneath her with these thoughts, but then Berrypaw was reminded of the fact that that was no longer the case. And her thoughts calmed as her brain recalled all the faces that were still with her. In the end, her mind paused on Snowybreeze, with his friendly personality and charming smile. Was she really complaining about her life when she had Snowybreeze? When no one else before or after could compare to him? Once more her gaze went back to the den entrance, now thinking about her feathery-tailed friend. Last she'd seen, he'd been sleeping out the nights in the clearing. She hadn't asked, hadn't dared pry, because she didn't want to seem annoying. Now, however, the thought made her queasy. Had he moved to the warriors den yet? He could get sick out there, in all this rain and snow.
Rounded ears flattened back against her skull for a few moments. She ought to go check. But surely, surely Snowybreeze would have moved back to the warriors den by now? Surely he wouldn't try to camp it out in the clearing, where he'd be susceptible to sicknesses. Indecisiveness gnawed at her belly. What was she supposed to do?
[ OOC: This was... Supposed to be an activity post, but we don't talk about that. Oops. ]
Beetlekit nodded to confirm that that was what had happened. He then hung his head in shame. Windclan cats were better then that! He pawed the ground as he waited for Fallownose to continue.
@NinjaBloss
Fallownose stretched out a forepaw in an attempt to gently lift Beetlekit's chin so the kit was looking into his eyes. "Don't worry about it, Beetlekit. Just don't do it again, okay? Come on, I'm sure your friends have been worried about you."

ButterflyKit looked down, she felt bad for her sister.
The deputy had to resist the urge to cuff Coyoteear over the head for her absolute stupidity. "You're lucky it's the middle of leafbare and we need all the cats we can get. I'll be keeping an eye on you closely," he warned before turning and heading back towards camp.

Fallownose trotted through the snow-covered moor with his pelt bushed up in an attempt to ease some of the cold. A call for help caught his attention, and soon the slate-gray tom was bolting through the snow, a drift kicking up behind him. Soon enough he spotted Sugarpaw and slowed his pace until he was in front of the missing apprentice.
"Sugarpaw! What's the matter? Where have you been?"
