We can get to know each other, and do a mock fight to test where we both are strength wise. How does that sound, Silverpaw?" She looked at her apprentice with a glimmering eye, head tilted to the side.
She glanced to the Streamstone. More deputies? Her ear flicked. Something didn't feel right about the decision Lionstar made, but she didn't dwell on it longer. Though, hadn't Fawnsqueak only just become a warrior? He certainly wasn't fit for the job of RiverClan deputy? Where was the young warrior, anyways?
She passed her gaze along the Clan, but Fawnsqueak was nowhere to be seen. Stoatdance felt her confusion and worry rise as Lionstar began to... pretend he was Fawnsqueak. Was he alright? She shrugged it off. It wasn't any of her business- nothing was directed at her, so she did not need to interfere. Stoatdance looked back to her apprentice and observed her silently, pushing the golden tom's strange outburst to the back of her mind. She had more pressing matters to attend to- a new apprentice.
|
Luckily for Silverpaw's slightly unpatient personality, she didn't have to wait long until Stoatdance started talking about training, and how to get in time... She purred at the joke, I guess I deserved that. Silverpaw felt her pelt fuzz in excitement at the notion of battle training, and how Stoatdance seemed to be everything she'd wanted in a mentor. The best thing was, she was planning together with Silverpaw, and asked for her opinion. I actually feel like an apprentice, and not a kit.
Silverpaw nodded eagerly. "That sounds perfect!" she said happily.
Honestly, Silverpaw had been a little confused with everything that had been going on at the Streamstone, but seeing as Stoatdance didn't say anything about it, she just accepted it. Stoatdance, if anyone, seemed to have everything under control. Without thinking, she unsheathed her claws into the ground. It was a bad habit she had whenever she was excited.

She gently touched her nose to her apprentice, repeating his name softly. "Snowpaw." She smiled at him. She fluffed out her already extremely long fur, her fur itself was probably most of her weight. She was glad to have an older apprentice that had many mentors before, maybe she could learn something too!
She was dreading battle-training. The she wasn't a very battle like cat. Not to say she couldn't fight, no, no. This kitty could become a battle machine if she wanted to, or if she was angry enough, it was very difficult to make the bouncy cat angry though. She had control of her anger very well. "Since you've already trained before, how about we go ahead and begin!" She purred. "Tell em your strengths and weaknesses."she plopped down infront of the tom, sitting calmly and waiting for his response

The apprentice watched her lay down and took it as an invitation to sit for a conversation. With a warrior. Right after his ceremony.
‘ Great.’
Sighing, he sat and began grooming his paws, attempting to find any hidden spikes from the reeds after his border control this morning. Clearly, he was trying to buy some time and recall his many past experiences with his mentors. Like all cats, they had secrets. But none of them were as dark as Snowpaws. But there were good ones, of course. Learning many advanced skills warriors and apprentices his age hadn’t even seen before.
"Oh uh, right." he paused mid-stroke, realising he’d taken too long to reply. "I mean, sure. What do you want to know? I’ve been in a few fights, I’d consider myself well trained in battle." ’More like overly trained.’ Snowpaw tilted his head thoughtfully. "I’m not bad at hunting..so we could focus on that if you wish?"
Truth be told, he really loathed hunting. He had no patience whatsoever, scratching his very own sister when she took too long taking her share back when they were kits. He winced at the memory, regret clawing at his heart. She could be here, with him. But of course, his short-temperedness got the better of him.
Perhaps his new mentor would help him with.. with his issues.

The she cat listened along, purring and movung right beside him. She hated sitting across from other cats, didnt make her feel safe. She was slightly Naive at times and trusted easily, trusting snowpaw as soon as she lay eyes on him. "Well I hate battle! Its pointless." She voiced strongly, but quietly. She may not be sharpest claw on the cat but she wasn't stupid. Well most of the time that is. She thought to herself with a meaningful purr and Snowpaw.
Her eyes widened when he said hunting. She Loved hunting. Sure it could be repetitive at times, and taking the life of something isn't her strong suit so she alqays made it quick and painless for her prey. "If hunting isn't your strong suit, then off to thr training Area we go!" She got up and bounded off, pretty fast for such a fluffy kitten. (And continue there? XD)

Snowpaws eyes widened at the warriors sudden burst of energy, but he quickly recovered from his shock shaking his head and laughing. He pursued the warrior, quickly catching up and matching his mentor, pawstep for pawstep.
Perhaps this really wasn’t going to turn out so bad after all!
( Sure! :3 )

The one-eyed molly purred. "Excellent. It seems as though the meeting is over, so we can go ahead and leave. Would you like to go to the training island, or another section of the territory?" Stoatdance smiled at the young she-cat's excitement. She'll certainly be a lovely apprentice to train. I hope I can do my best, and that she doesn't find any issues with my scarring. I'll need to work on her punctuality, as Lionstar said. She can't be showing up to meetings late all the time, or sometimes not at all. Stoatdance offered a kind nudge to Silverpaw's shoulder, nodding toward her. "You will be a wonderful warrior, Silverpaw. I can feel it."

"The training islands!" Silverpaw could barely believe her luck. Finally, someone to teach her and give her the training she needed. She was so excited for battle training, that she was taken a little unaware by Stoatdance's last words. They left her with a surge of hapiness. This must be the best day of my life!
"Thank you," she said, way calmer than in her thoughts. "I just want to do my best." And I will be better than my brother.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Emerging from his den after speaking to Frostfall and Eagleflight, Lionstar sprang up onto the Streamstone gracefully. After screeching some sense into Frostfall, he was in a far better mood.
And now? He needed to address the latest issue on the table: that Honestpaw looking to rejoin. "All those old enough to swim gather beneath the Streamstone for a Clan meeting!"

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Minnowmist pulled herself from the warrior's den at the call of the leader's voice. Her eyes flicked back and forth as she padded forward, remaining far away from the rest of her Clanmates. She didn't wish to be near them- too many eyes, too many bodies. But she had missed the last meeting, and she refused to do the same this time. Lionstar would not be happy if she continued to remain absent from all the ceremonies, even if she wasn't in them! Her tail curled around her paws and she glanced between her Clanmates, and she could have sworn that they were all looking at her. Judging her. It's your imagination, don't get worked up! And so she looked at her leader and awaited his next words.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Gingerblossom was sitting on the side of the clearing when a meeting was announced, and she shot to her paws, quickly padding over to where cats usually gathered when Lionstar yowled. Neatly curling her tail around her paws, the she-cat looked up expectantly at Lionstar, wondering what in the world this meeting could be about. Maybe I should go find my apprentice after this... That would be a good plan. Smiling to herself, Gingerblossom glanced around the clearing, hoping to spot the young tom so she could talk to him after the meeting.
----
Spicestorm sat at the edge of the clearing, preferring to listen in but not converse with anyone. He wasn't in the mood. So he shuffled towards the streamstone a few pawsteps, preferring to sit on the outside of the gathering of cats and watch quietly from the sidelines.
----
The young tomcat watched as his clanmates started to gather, and he followed them, tail low as he made his way towards the far edge of the circle of cats, where he could see Lionstar and the ground below him, but far enough away to not attract any unwanted attention. Ears flicking, Bunnypaw lifted his head up and scanned for his mother, green eyes quickly flicking over each cat to see if he could spot the silver feline.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Truthpaw stayed tucked close to the edge, still feeling odd being back home. It was so strange, seeing Lionstar up where Fallenstream used to be. She wondered if this was the name change Lionstar had spoken to her about before.
