She jumped and turned around, eyes wide. "Oh! Y-yes, um, hi. Yes I'm new I'm living with Charlie. He's very nice." She closed her jaws before she babbled any more. "Creampuff," she said in a small voice.

Firefang glared at the fence. Hooking her claws into it, she began to haul herself upwards.

"Elder?" She cocked her head, then her ear twitched as she heard something. "Do you hear that?" She looked around, trying to pinpoint it.

The poor scrap of fur went rigid, probably with fear. Creampuff set her down gently on the flat part of the fence, holding a paw up so the tiny thing wouldn't fall off. "Do you know this kitten?" She asked, worried.

The kitten was silent, and Creampuff licked her head reassuringly. The kittypet did not see her expression, nor did she notice the kitten's claws digging into the wood with her effort not to painfully remove the flesh of the assumptuous cat from her overbearing bones.
