Re: Icestar's Afterlife Training
(sorry for the late reply i was eating dinner) @ Peril
"Yeah, try again." This wasn't bad, training in dreams. But Scorchstrike often didn't remember what she dreamed about. Would she forget everything she learned?

Re: Icestar's Afterlife Training
// @ punkscape
His leader's sharp grin concerned him less than it possibly should have considering that his first mentor also responded in a similar fashion once or twice before, but he bluntly noted that any hopes of not being used as a training rock dissipated at that moment. The warrior allowed himself the time while Icestar addressed the crowd to ponder his next most important thought: whether this training demonstration would be claws sheathed or unsheathed. Of course, he would prefer sheathed over the latter option, though he supposed it wouldn't matter in the long run. Dreams, for the most part, were safe areas to train in, since injuries rarely transversed the realms.
The warrior instinctively unsheathed his claws as Icestar took position because despite his curiously high amount of experience with pretending to be a glorified, living target, it still went against himself to do absolutely nothing while knowing that he would be attacked. His former leader grabbed onto his leg, but before he could attempt to free himself, one rather bulky shoulder collided into his, sending the tomcat tumbling onto his side with a tiresome burst of pain from the impacted limbs.
Mind having finally woken up, he quickly noted that the position of his legs left his belly wide open. Due to his extended motion (or what humans called inertia), he would have little control over the flying limbs until further notice. Luckily, he also noted that any enemy would need to pause and turn in the right direction before going on to attack his stomach, and in that time, he could regain enough control of his neck to bring his jaws down on any incoming paws…
Sadly, or perhaps not so sadly depending on how a feline viewed it, Talonstone received no chance to test out his counter as Icestar kindly refrained from attempting to slash him. Instead, the frost-furred feline twisted back onto his paws, begrudgingly admitting to himself that being bashed in the shoulder seriously hurt.

l Brackenpaw l
The molly lined up again and set her paw in the correct place. She pushed on Scorchstrike's shoulder, harder this time, and hoped she would land on her back again.

Re: Icestar's Afterlife Training
Scorchstrike fell over once again. It was pretty difficult to defend against this move, but also would be difficult to set up. Icestar had the right idea. Getting back up, Scorchstrike tried the move on Brackenpaw. @ Peril

Re: Icestar's Afterlife Training
@ Upside~Down Magic
Stempaw gave a nervous gulp, missing a front leg would make this harder, she still hadn’t quite felt comfortable balancing on her hind legs, and mostly kept her attacks to her hind legs and kept her front paw on the ground. She also knew this took away the element of surprise as she’d keep doing this blow on the same side.

Re: Icestar's Afterlife Training
She moved and aimed for Stempaws back leg that was still there. If that worked she could knock Stempaw off balance.

Stempaw felt her backleg hooked and tried to brace herself to withstand the blow, but couldn’t so she fell. She felt her face get hot. I’m an older apprentice and can’t defeat this simple move she thought. She decided to get up and try it herself. She shot her frontleg forward to try and hook the backleg but felt herself going down so she tried to rear up slightly after she had attempted to hook the leg so she didn’t land face down, it wasn’t exactly the move, but it was harder missing a leg.

Stempaw realized as Fadedpaw jumped up that this might not work so she tried to roll out of the way before hoping up,” You can try again”
