Hawkkit let out a mew. Where is home? he asked Fernkit, distressed. I want to go home... He dropped to the ground and covered his head with his forepaws.

"Ugh!" EchoKit limped away to get thorns, "Ow! It's poking my teeth!" she mewed, muffled a bit by the thorns. {open}

FrostWing nodded and padded out of camp to get brambles. When he got back he went ot put them on from the outside, making it easier for himself. {open}

He was pretty surprised at how much progress they were making, and in such a short amount of time, too. Buckbranch continued to battle down the attack, but stray wheezes kept pushing their way past his jaws. "I'm fine," he grunted. His blistered paws weren't helping the matter. When he reached up to push a stubborn stem into the others, he slipped and his chest exploded in a bout of loud, body-wracking coughing. It brought tears to his eyes and forced him to all but stop what he was doing as he sunk to knees on the grass, until they subsided into quiet, rasping gasps and left him shaking.

Fernkit looked over at Hawkkit, which was kind of difficult lying on the ground. She hesitated, then stood up and padded over to the other kit. Fernkit awkwardly patted him in the shoulder. "Well this is our home now, I guess" she meowed. "Hey, you wanna play a game? That might make you feel better." @-Splash-

Materials seemed more important than an extra paw fumbling around the dens and his new disability still made depth perception a bit more difficult so Cormorantpaw decided to trot after Duskstar- well... more like wobble.

The black and grey apprentice had managed to get some sleep after his chat with Rainywhisker and he felt somehow more exhausted now that he was awake but the clan needed him and he wouldn’t let them down. Sleep could come when they were safe.

Cormorantpaw stopped beside Duskstar and dug at some thick vines that grew in the boggy area, figuring they could be useful in fortifying the camp walls. He hasn’t seen Duskstar since before the fire as he’d spent much of the time after in the Riverclan medicine den and she was off to find a new home when he finally left. Now that he was close to her, he got full view of her ruined face and winced, hoping she’d think he caught his claw so he didn’t appear rude. Worry gnawed at him likes his claws on the vine and he peeked over at the she-cat a few times.

“How are you, Duskstar? I haven’t seen many cats since before the fire started due to my time in the Riverclan medicine den so I’m a bit behind on the goings on.”

Hawkkit stared at Fernkit for a moment, then looked away, I want to go home! he wailed, Mama! Then he remembered. His parents had abandoned him. He started wailing. Again. I wan't to go home! he cried again, flailing his paws. Where is home? Hawkkit whimpered, tears streaming down his face. Mama! Mama! Mama! He knew his mother would never come back to him, but he still called for her.

Fernkit looked around frantically. She was not good at this sort of thing. She wondered what she should do. If she did anything else, she might just make things worse. She decided to make things worse. "Shhh" she meowed as she stuffed her paw in Hawkkit's mouth. "It's alright. Shhh" @-Splash-

Mama! Hawkkit tried to screech, but because Fernkit's paw was in his mouth, he couldn't. Geth outh! he mumbled, trying to push Fernkit away. He looked up at the sky, his gaze pleading. Mama... he murmured, Comth back tho me..

Ferretleap dropped everything and rushed to his side, ”No you are not ok! What’s going on?” He mewed sternly, wondering how in the world they were letting him work.

Cautiously, Fernkit took her paw out of Hawkkit's mouth. "Uh, are you okay now?" she meowed. "Do you want me to get you some fresh kill?"
