Gingerpaw padded proudly back into camp, Swiftpounce close behind her. She was more than proud of the three voles she dropped into the fresh kill pile. She moved aside so Swiftpounce could deposit his prey as well.

"We're back Finchwhisker!" She announced, head held high.

Finchwhisker rolled his eyes slightly at the overall bubbliness as the pair announced their return. However, he'd glanced over their prey as they'd stepped through the camp entrance, and from the looks of it, they'd done a respectable job. Plus, it'd been mildly amusing to see Gingerpaw appear to take the lead over Swiftpounce, so there was that. "Well done, both of you may be dismissed."

For now, that was the only patrol, aside from his own, that he'd seen re-enter camp. Either everyone else had neglected to report, was running late, or didn't do their patrols at all. As much as it irritated him, he waited for a few moments longer, hoping it was one of the first two scenarios.

Here we go. This was long overdue and it was about time he did one of these. Herb patrols. He remembered the words Ebonyfang had said to cats when he called out for these, but he was going to do it far differently. He was going to be strict with this. Maybe clawing some cats will get them to complete them. He could heal them afterwards, but they needed to learn their lessons. He wasn’t going to make the same mistake as Ebonyfang.

Badgerscar padded forward. He was going to make sure everyone heard him loud and clear. They wouldn’t ignore him and if they did he was sure to tell Dawnstar about them. Listening would be far better than that. He wouldn’t bring Dawnstar into this though. He knew he could handle this all on his own.

“Okay listen up! I will not repeat myself and unless you don’t want to be missing some fur you’ll listen!”, he growled, loudly. He was serious. He wasn’t afraid to go on with his threat. He was the medicine cat now and they were going to listen to him more or it might cost them their place in the clan.

Badgerscar didn’t dare look around to choose. They better be listening. “This is for herb patrols. When I call your name I want you to come up. If you don’t you will be facing consequences.”, he added. The bitter cat flexed his claws. He was wanting someone to not show up to sink his claws into them. Oh the fun it would be.

“For Warrior I want Grimhound, Frogfang, Smokemoon, Darkflower, Batfrost, and Ebonyfang to step forward for further instructions. For apprentices I want Ravenpaw, Berrypaw, and Snailpaw to step forward!’, Badgerscar called. He tried calling mentors and their apprentices. Ebonyfang was called because he knew more herbs than he did and he trusted the tom to get herbs that Badgerscar didn’t know about.

Berrypaw stepped forward. A herb patrol? All right, then. She looked up to the new medicine cat, waiting to be assigned.

Batfrost was called, and the tom was there, but since the meeting where Snailpaw had been left to look like an idiot when her Mentor didn't step forward, she couldn't help but feel neglected by the cat.

With little to no training, she was a pudgy ball of uselessness, and that alone was going to eat away at her confidence until it change.

The tripod molly avoided Batfrost, shifting forwards towards Badgerscar. For a moment, she wondered if the name Snailscar awaited her future...

"H-hi uh, I'm not the best... anything, really, but herbs and cleaning o-or moss collecting and nest making, they don't require skills I dont have." Snailpaw was no doubt making a fool of herself, but it wasn't exactly hard to make a fool of yourself when you lived in a clan of warriors who oozed bloodthirst. "If you need any extra help with your new position, I'm happy to offer a paw to help?" Well, a paw that wasn't chewed off.

Ravenpaw had been chewing on a bone when she heard her name being called. Huh? Who wants me? she wondered as she padded up to Badgerscar. Herb patrols, ok then. "I'm here!" she made herself known. @Angelique
