Lightningkit

The tricolored cat's grin grew as Lightningkit appreciated her companion's reaction to her onslaught. A laugh. A quiet, friendly one, not laced with sardonic judgement or the hint of discomfort at being faced with the fact that this kit indeed expected answers. The oriental mix's grin only grew a hint smugger at the mention of her talking speed. What could she say? It was a gift! How else could you get as much information as possible in a short amount of time? Warriors were always saying they were busy, after all. Best get as many questions out as she could before they had to scamper off to their chores.

"What can I say?" she mewed with a shrug, her voice playful, similar to the cheeky tone she tended to get with her mother whenever Gingerheart and her indulged in a teasing verbal match - which admittedly Gingerheart always won because something something warrior code - with a hint of over the top arrogance. "I have to live up to my name. Otherwise that would make a liar of my sweet mother after she so named me, and we can't have that, now can we?"

The ridiculousness of her claim forcing her to drop her act, another bout of laughter escaped her, whiskers twitching in amusement as she imagined the look her mother would give her at that admission. Although then again, Gingerheart was more often than not entertained by her daughter's claims when she knew it was all in good humor. Quite frankly, the russet queen would probably just laugh the whole thing off and shake her head. Realizing her mind had started to wander towards her mother as it so often did the closer her ceremony came - she wasn't hesitant to leave her mother alone, how dare anyone suggest that - Lightningkit shook herself, large ears perked up as the calico refocused on the longer furred apprentice before her.

"Right... so asking questions is good, I've got a ton of those..." she mewed, her nose scrunched up in thought as she took her singular, white gloved paw to her mouth momentarily as she continued going down the list, her eyes shining mischievously. "Listening is fine. As long as they don't say anything too mouse-brained... And remaining respectful? I guess that means I probably shouldn't call them mouse-brains then, huh? Oops..." the young calico finished, sticking her tongue out, her final word lacking any real conviction.

Magnoliakit sat by the entrance to the nursery, tail flicking idly as she watched the cats around her. Her expression was frosty but bored.

Moth’kit shifted slightly from his place beside Cow’kit, keeping a sharp eye out for their surroundings. He licked his paw once, a bit bored now that Cow’kit was asleep, but refused to move from his place beside him.

Magnoliakit was currently eating leaves. Daffodils, specifically.

She was hungry, and there was plenty of freshkill in camp, but... The sight of fresh blood only nauseated her. It wasn't like she couldn't eat it, but just knowing that the animal used to be alive irked her a little.

Magnoliakit knew she was going to grow up into a warrior, so hopefully the whole pacifist thing would ease out. She just had to hope nobody was watching, even if she was in the middle of camp, since that'd make an embarrassing sight... But if someone did confront her, maybe she could just glare at them until they went away. That always worked on the other kits.

Specklekit was about to answer, when she noticed Magnoliakit sitting by the entrance. Uh oh... could be a spy... she thought, trying to thinkof way to get rid of the other kit so that she and Cedarkit could talk privately. "Hey there...!" She called, wondering if maybe Magnoliakit could be an ally rather than an enemy.
