Liam sighs and heads to his room, he climbs into his covers and falls asleep

An especially loud rumble of booming thunder shook the house, making Violet shriek from under the bed.

Violet was curled into herself, talons over her head, eyes squeezed shut. She was shaking, and with every roll of thunder she shook harder and whimpered, cowering even more.
