Mothflight walked around, her head in the clouds again. She wasn't watching where she was going and slammed into another cat. She fell down. "Sorry sorry sorry!" She mewed, standing up, quickly trying walk away.

Shiningskies scanned camp until her amber eyes came to rest on the massive form of Dawnstar. She kept her face in a neutral expression as she padded towards the leader even though all she wanted to do was rake her claws through Dawnstar's pelt. It was frustrating how the ShadowClan leader came in and took over ThunderClan and was doing a better job than all of the leaders she could remember. Ugh, she hated it.

"Dawnstar. All the patrols have been reported on time and everything seems to be in order. The only thing that's worth mentioning is the water at the RiverClan border has risen with the warmer weather and there's a risk of being swept away." Her words were delivered emotionlessly as she stared at the leader and awaited her response. There was no polite greeting or dip of the head to signify respect, Dawnstar hadn't earned it from her, but there was no disrespect either. She was doing her duty to the ThunderClan, no more, no less.

Among the newest, stronger warriors, lightningpelt had a reputation for being fierce, fast, and brutal, but in that moment, he looked kind and calm,"That's okay....Mothflight, right?" he asked patiently,"I noticed you the other day on a hunting patrol. Good job on that thrush." He himself had caught a sparrow. Small but a good meal for an elder. His white fur was as clean as ever, and his emerald eyes glinted with the usual mischief. He had broad shoulders but a lithe build at the same time and had already gained himself some honor, being a strong fighter in the shadowclan contest.

Mothflight turned around. "Uhh... thank you?" She eyed, eyeing him with suspicion. "Yes, my name is Mothflight. Are you Lightningpelt?" The young molly's white fur shined in the sunlight. Her emerald-green eyes had fear and curiosity in them. Her tail swept the ground and her paws were stained with mud and dirt.

Lightningpelt nodded his head,"Yes, and don't worry, I only bite other clan cats." With a glint of mischief and curiousity, he went on,"Don't worry, I am not from shadowclan or anything." He murmered again seeing her fear. He sat on his haunches and licked a paw running it over his ear.

It felt like she had ants nipping at her paws, demanding that she leave this camp behind and roam. She liked to roam, liked to keep busy, liked to move so the restlessness inside of her didn't eat her up. But she forced the feeling down, stomping on the ants below her paws, from her place at the base of Thunderwillow. Dawnstar was still searching, silent watching the ThunderClan cats within the camp, seeing if any of them had the qualities she was looking for in a ThunderClan leader.

She wasn't looking for what she looked for in a ShadowClan cat, she needed someone bold, courageous, but not stupid enough to see everything in black and white, nor stubbornly stuck in denial nor too prideful to see the errors in their way. How did one fix their mistakes if they couldn't see them? It wouldn't be bad for them to be to tell ally from an enemy(or at least know the differences between help and harm) She wasn't interested in anyone as harsh as her but also wanted to avoid finding a replacement as soft as the past ThunderClan leaders. ThunderClan needed to remember, win or lose, that they were warriors, they had claws and fangs too, and they didn't need to roll over and take everyone's dung. Whether it was the haughty RiverClan or the ignorant WindClan, backing down when they knew their clan was wronged shouldn't fly with a real ThunderClan cat.

The molly was pulled out of her musing when Shiningskies arrived with a report on patrols. She didn't seem to mind the lack of respect, the fact that the warrior was being civil even filled with disdain for her was good enough for Dawnstar. "You got all of them to report back to you, I'm shocked, I can barely get three of my patrols to report in." She meowed, blinking her eyes as she sat up straighter. "Flooding? Is it a risk to ThunderClan or RiverClan?" Dawnstar inquired, wondering if ThunderClan had a backup camp in times of trouble like spontaneous fires. Shiningskies seemed knowledgeable if not moody, she debate on asking after she got a reply.

Mothflight slowly lost her fear. "Ok..." She mewed. He may be kind, but he could be hiding something! The young molly got lost in her thoughts. Again. In front of another warrior other then Timberwolf.
