Though Burrface had long heard the rumors whispered among the Riverclan cats of murder and tragedy, to hear it from Sootstar's mouth make her grit her teeth. "A waste of life!" She cried, though fell quiet immediately after.

The gathered crowd was abuzz with outcry and chattering amongst themselves. She looked over at Firesweep to see how he was reacting to the news. Disturbed, unsurprisingly. Burrface sighed. "No, no. I've become skilled at keeping myself out of trouble." Her tail tip flicked before she added, "It seems the difference between life and death nowadays."

"I don't know what your idea is - disappearing right after your warrior ceremony then waltzing back into camp at the next meeting but I'm afraid that's not how this works." He huffed, glaring down at the previously absent tom.

"Fennelheart [ @Zesty Mango ], since he seems so keen on cozying up to you, you can be the one to escort him out of camp." A quick glance around... "Snowfern [ @Mumble ]! You as well. I will deal with him later but for now, I want him out of my camp."

Leopardfire glanced up in surprise. He had been missing a couple days, but planning to talk to Sootstar after the clan meeting. He flattened his ears, a little saddened and nervous. He hated getting in trouble. It made it even worse that his leader had assigned his former mentor and sister to escort him out. He flushed a little.

"I-it's okay," he mumbled nervously, "I'll go myself to wait at the border." He hopped to his feet, winding as lightly as he could to draw less attention to himself. Great, he had just become a warrior and was already in trouble.

Snowfern winced slighty as she listened to Sootstar get mad at Leopardfire. The white she-cat cast an empathetic gaze at her brother, a small smile on her face. Yikes. She didn't even want to know what it felt like to get yelled at by your leader in front of the whole clan! As Sootstar spoke again, her eyebrows shot up in surprise. Her? Why her? She was a camp guard, sure, but it was still unexpected. Dipping her head to sootstar, she quietly turned to pad over to her brother. Mouthing a small 'Im sorry' to him, she placed her tail on his shoulders to guide him out. "No, im coming with you." She insisted, shaking her head lightly. (sorry for the short response)

Snowpaw sat in silence and in shock wandering why leapordfire would do such a thing as vanish.... she hadn't even gotten to talk to him really. She looked up at Sootstar wndeeing what he was going to say now that this happened.

Amusement danced in Kestrelwing's eyes as the newly made warrior was guided out of camp. He had to hand it to Sootstar - calling out the warriors who just left RiverClan like that. While he make not have been the hardest worker by any means, he still at least made it known he was a member. Taking a moment to glance over at Eelsting, he pondered how his brother was reacting to this news. Perhaps considering going after his exiled Clanmate? Definitely mourning the deaths of Charredpaw and Sugarapple. From where he saw he couldn't quite get an exact read on him so the tabby refocused his attention back on Sootstar, deciding to remain where he sat as the meeting continued.

Primrosepaw listened for a reply but none came - perhaps she didn't hear her "Sugar?" she'd turned towards where she hoped the nursery was, but still nothing "Sugar!" Primrosepaw called out a last time, quite a bit louder. She couldn't understand why the molly wasn't replying to her - truth be told, what Primrosepaw had to understand was that Sugarapple was no longer there. But who could blame her for not understanding? She'd been kept away from any mention of such until now. She didn't know the meaning of 'killed'. She would soon, probably, but now it only left her confused and... Unhappy? No- Worried.

Sparrowskip put his head down as he heard about Sugarapple. His mother... gone. He had never really had anything against ShadowClan before but this, made him hate them with a fiery passion. He would definitely be at that vigil tonight.

Flyfur finally padded up to the Clan meeting, misery weighing in her stomach like lead and gripping her lungs like a briar. From the looks of shock across the Clan, Sootstar had already announced Sugarapple's fate.
Several faces in the crowd stood out to her and her heart sank, recognizing it was possible they'd forgotten some of her other adopted kits.
She got up, despite having just sat down and stopped by each one of them to comfort them.

She approached Primrosepaw first and let out a soft mrrp sound to indicate she was approaching. She didn't know if the apprentice was blind or just not visually aware.
"Primrose. Prim. I'm a friend of Sugarapple's. You called out for her, but I'm afraid she can't come to you. Would you like me to help you instead?"
She could only assume Primrosepaw didn't understand death. It wasn't uncommon in younger cats or even slower cats and some where just sheltered, but right now, she simply wanted to ease the apprentice into the truth as gently as she could.

Eventually she padded over to Ebonypaw, interaction with Primrose on her mind. Without much of a word, she just presses closely to the apprentice.
"I'm sorry about Sugarapple. Were you two close?"
Perhaps small talk would make things easier for him. He seemed the kind of cat.

Finally, Flyfur ended up to Sparrowskip. This was a conversation they'd had before and more words couldn't cover the emotions, the stress of it all, so she attempts physical affection. She leans into him, pressing her side to his and just sighs heavily, unsure if she should remain quiet or offer some words, but it felt empty and meaningless to rehearse old conversations, so she just sat next to him.

EmberPaw conversation with the tom next to her was cut short as Sootstar spoke. Upon hearing the news, outbursts from her Clanmates could be heard, the shecat herself eyes widen slightly as she took in what had been addressed. Killed?
The young shecat felt a small unease settle in her stomach, she felt unease and fear wash over her for a moment, her own clanmate was killed just like that...
Emberpaw shook her head, taking a tiny breath to calm herself down. ‘Don’t be pathetic and lose your head over such things ember. ’. Thinking this quick emotion killing thought, finally she returned to a neutral state but nonetheless her brows furrowed she she looked to the grown for a moment to show respect In her own way to the fallen, furthermore Listening as the leader continued.

Ebonypaw looked up as yet another cat he didn't know padded up to him. This cat he knew the name of, she was Flyfur. He shook his head. "No... Not really," he admitted. "I n-never really knew her that well. B-but... She took me in when I joined and the other kits were mean to me. A-And gave me my new name." Ebonykit. That had sounded so, so much better than just Ebony, the rogue nobody cared about. "She was the closest thing to a mother I had." If he could feel this much pain and grief from losing a cat he barely knew, he couldn't imagine how how the cats closer to her would feel.

Feathermask s stomach churned ...deaths?! Oh for the love of starclan... Poor things . When she heard about sugarapple she gasped. One of the nursery queens! No! Nonono. She's not talked to her at alk but from what she's heard , sugarapple sounded nice. Her ears folded back and hung her head. Stupid shadow clan.. Why can't they leave them be?!
