"I appreciate it, I'll dig there for a while and then we can switch back." He was glad he was with a cat that was so willing to work, but Nightwhisker didn't want her to get worn out either. Switching sides would be an effective system to get things done.

silverrose was always good at digging but this was giving her a workout, after a while she had the part she was doing just about done with a big pile of dirt around her,"hey nightwhisker would you mind helping me take out this dirt" she asked him as she started with getting out the first batch of dirt

Slipping out into the territory, Stoatdance allowed her tail to sway from side to side. She sighed quietly, moving sluggishly. She had been restless the past few nights, unable to sleep as nightmares plagued her mind. It was so long ago... why am I still having these nightmares? A snarling dog, it's jaws clamping around her head. She shuddered at the thought.
Walking toward the river, she looked down into it, seeing her reflection. Her scar was clear. She didn't remember what it had been like to see with two eyes, to not have such a large scar on her face. Stoatdance shook her head and shoved away the thoughts. I've lived most of my life with this. I've proven myself to be a worthy warrior of RiverClan... I think. I have nothing to worry about.
She peered into the water, spotting a small flash of silver. It was surprising how the water hadn't frozen over yet, with how cold it had been. Her tail flicked and she waited... waited... now! Stoatdance's paw flashed into the water and she scooped up the fish, scaring all others away. A prideful purr rumbled in her throat as she gave the killing bite, then settled down by the river and allowed herself to relax, forcing all negative thoughts away and focusing on the beauty of the RiverClan land around her.

Jasperspite walked out of camp, not caring to say anything to anyone, everyone had something to say about him anyways. He padded farther into the territory, not a place to go. Maybe he would go and catch some fish. Maybe he would find a cat to visit with. He settled on visiting as he caught a whiff of a she cat. He meandered towards her, slowly moving. He had a regal air about him, like a disgraced prince.

He spotted Stoatdance sitting by the edge of the river, and paused to watch her as she snatched the fish from the water. He had seen this she cat around camp, but he had never spoken to her before. He padded closer.

“Nice catch” A huge orange Tom slid from between the reeds. His eyes glimmered, one so dark it was almost black, and the other was a venomous green. He settled down between two knobby roots, cleaning his paws. “How’s it shakin, beautiful? How are the fish swimming?” His voice was smooth and youthful, but the Tom was hulking, strong, muscles bunching under his pelt as he moved and shifted.

Her ears swiveled as a voice caught her attention, head turning to watch the tom slide from the reeds. She stifled a grimace as she was called beautiful, her tail curling closer to herself. Stoatdance settled into a crouch, a more comfortable position to stare at the newcomer.
"Thank you," she said, "The fish are swimming well, though the numbers will be dwindling as leaf-bare takes its toll on the river." She glanced at the fish she had caught before looking back at the tom. "What brings you out here? I don't believe I've seen you around the camp before- what's your name?" Stoatdance inquired, taking note that he had the scent of RiverClan on him.
Her whiskers pulled back against her cheeks and she examined the tom, watching the way he carried himself. Stoatdance straightened herself up and tilted her head to the side as she awaited a response.

"R-right out of camp?" Owlpaw repeated the question, glancing around as she fumbled for an answer. "U-Uhm, yeah, let's go!" She flicked her tail a few times as she mentally scolded herself for acting so timid. She gave Shimmeringpaw a nod before turning and slipping out of camp, almost tripping over her paws once or twice. Once she was out in the territory she spun around to face the other apprentice. "S-so uhm, I- I didn't think this far ahead, uh..." She glanced away as she tried to think of something they could do. We could go for a walk, maybe go or a hunt? Owlpaw looked down at her paws as she felt her pelt heat up from embarrassment. She lifted a paw and jerked forward a bit, wanting to flee. But she forced herself to stay where she was, again.

(Sure! Just a heads up- he has a mate and kits, even if it's not going too well between them.)

Nightwhisker nodded. His dirt had also been gathering up into a pile, and he took the moment to take it out at the same time as Silverrose's. After a few turns, most of it was gone so he padded up to Silverrose's side again.
"We can switch back now, if you'd like." He looked at the excavation, and was glad to see how much she'd been able to do. "Good job, I think we'll be done soon." Nightwhisker didn't want to risk destabilizing the burrow, and felt like they'd worked well so far.

Hmmm... That was a good question. He looked around at their work. "I think we'll just have to dig out a bit more at the front, and by the opening. What do you say?" he said, and then asked Silverrose, who seemed to know what she was doing.

“My name is Jasperspite. I’m surprised you haven’t heard of me, the cats of Riverclan seem to enjoy gossiping about me.” He grinned t the she cat. He didn’t really mind it, if everyone had ill will against him already, why care what anyone thinks. “I’ve seen you around before, but not before Skyclan joined up with us.” He settled again, switching from cleaning his paws to cleaning his face and ears, raking his paws over his ears.

"ya i think that's about right but at the opening we should dig down a bit not up so it doesn't get us stuck" she said as she headed for the front and started to dig out the dirt
