“Sorry, Shadowfur…” she shot an angry glare at EbonySky before padding over to the Tom… “okay, where do I start? Uhm…” she took a moment to think… “I woke up in the warriors den this morning, HeatherRain was sleeping beside me. I woke up my sister because she had to train poisonpaw later today but she never was a morning person… we left the den not too long after, and were greeted by a wide awake, damp furred ebonysky. I offered a morning hunt and she was insistent on going to Saltmeadow marsh… so we went and found SmallLeaps body on our side of the border. There wasn’t a single scent on her. Immediately, ebony started to take her away after I kindly asked her to leave the cat so I could investigate. The scene had a clump of black fur too…” BeeFlighr looked to her paws. “My sister, she isn’t a murderer… she couldn’t be… she was sleeping all night…” BeeFlight sounded genuinely confused with the whole situation. It seemed she was just as useless as a kit for this situation…

Shadowfur nodded every now and again as Beeflight spoke, hanging on to every word. So Ebonysky had insisted on going to Saltmeadow Marsh? Why? If it was because Smalleap’s body was already there, then why not inform Dawnstar or an Enforcer? If not, then what was her reason? Once Beeflight finished, Shadowfur decided to push her further on this point.

“Did Ebonysky offer any reason as to why she was so insistent on going to Saltmeadow Marsh?” It could be coincidental, but at the moment the situation pointed to Ebonysky as a potential cat of interest.

Finally. FINALLY. A chance to do the job that she was meant to do. In all her lurking she had yet to hear much about any traitors or any talk of betraying the clan. Perhaps she hadn't been looking in the correct places.
Now the Enforcers interrogation meant that she could cross a few cats off her list, or at least delay speaking with them. Orange eyes scanned the clearing, taking stock of who was where. Brackenfire, Larkpaw, Shadowfur, and Vixensnarl were all present, Ebonysky was to bring Smallleap's corpse to the medicine den. The enforcers were splitting off in pairs to question Heatherrain and Beeflight. Then of course Cougarivy made an appearance, and the glossy white she-cat internally scoffed as the Commander of the Enforcers changed every order that had just been given. Naturally.
Sorrelflare finally made an appearance just as Spiritfire was about to step in and perform the tasks herself. She tsked her tongue, mildly disappointed. Ebonysky and Beeflight seemed to be having an unintelligible screaming match. Shadowfur called Beeflight away, giving her the perfect opportunity.
Spiritfire stood and padded across the clearing to Ebonysky.
"Ebonysky, don't listen to their inane blabber. Whoever is truly guilty will take the fall for this, I assure you," she crooned, letting the tip of her fluffy tail gently tap the black-and-white she-cat's shoulder. Spiritfire gave the warmest smile she could muster before she continued.
"Why don't you tell me your version of events? Maybe there's a clue somewhere in what you saw?"

Mossdance padded in the clearing, lifting her head up. She flicked her tail haughtily and sat down in a corner. The Siamese sat, chin high, assessing her clanmates. She thought herself better than the rest, with an air of regal essence. She thought some cats such as the annoying apprentices as detestable.

There was a air of fear and shock in the clearing. Someone had died. Gone to starclan. Mossdance didn’t give any thought about it. Cats die. The moral of the story was tears didn’t help. She was being blunt. That was just her personality.

Cobwebpaw paddled over and sat down "why on earth do stupid cats keep getting themselves killed?" he meowed watching the events of Smallleaps death going on in the clearing, way to much drama over one stupid cat... Cobwebpaw wasn't really sure if he should be sad anymore about clanmates dieing, since they seemed to him to die left and right,

Mossdance bit back an insult, rolling her eyes. “It’s because the cat,” the Siamese got up, beginning to walk away, eyes closed, long lashes peeking out. She opened her eyes. She stopped and looked into the apprentice’s eyes for a heartbeat. “Is important to them, therefore makes them mourn their loved ones.” she turned away and started padding away. She was busy. She didn’t need lousy apprentices trying to bond with her. She sighed and lashed her tail irritably. Great Starclan, if that apprentice followed, she would kill him.

"sheesh! snotty much?" he mumbled under his breathe "why mourn for a moron? that cat was weak if they got killed..." he meowed curtly, he was ppicking up his aunts attitude, which he wasn't sure if that was good or bad yet

Mossdance gave a growl of frustration, lashing her tail. “I don’t know, I didn’t really talk with Smalleap much. They were a good clanmate. But when a cat dies, it’s their time to die. There’s nothing we can do about it.” she mewed firmly, blue eyes flashing. “Besides..where’s your mentor?” she scanned the clearing for the apprentice’s mentor.

"My aunt is, but i don't think she'd want to be interrupted at the moment, as she's spending time with her mate, who is pregnant," Cobwebpaw meowed with a snort "as far as Good clanmates go, that really isn't something i care about nymore... cats die to fast to care"

Shadowfur nodded. Beeflight had provided about all of the information Shadowfur felt would be useful up until this point. He would need to hear from Vixensnarl and Larkpaw about what they found at the border before he could make any final conclusions. At the moment, Ebonysky was sounding like a more likely culprit than Heatherrain. Still, Shadowfur hadn’t forgotten what Dawnstar had said. Heatherrain didn’t exactly have a clean record.

The Enforcer flicked his tail. “You are not a suspect of mine, Beeflight. However, since you’re one of our main witnesses, I am going to request that you remain in camp at all times until this is sorted out. I do not want anything happening to you.” If the murderer got desperate enough, they might try to kill off any witnesses. “You are dismissed.”

Now, to wait for the other Enforcers to return.
