Eveningkit
ThunderClan Kit ♫ He/Him ♫ 2+ moons "Don't get to close, it's dark inside"
Father! Eveningkit cried out, rushing away from his mother and littermates to stand by Cindersmoke's side. You won' believe what jus' happen! He exclaimed, pressing into his father's fur. He didn't realize that his father didn't exactly... well, care for him, so he purred and nuzzled Cindersmoke.

Sagepaw wondered the meaning of life.

Beechpaw ♠ She / Her ♠ Thunderclan apprentice ♠ 7(8?)+ moons
Beechpaw padded out of the apprentices' den, second too late, as always. She glanced towards the body, then to Echobarley's tail as he ran out of camp, apparently after Ashpaw, Ashwhisper? She didn't know, only watched through narrowed eyes half obscured by fur.
Oh well- Whatever. She was never close to either so didn't really care. Her gaze fell on someone she did care about though, her dear sister. The Thunderclan apprentice bounced over, a loud purr errupting from her maw as she pressed her nose to her sister's cheek "Heya Sagepaw!! How're you doing? We should hang out again! Maybe ask dad to take us out of camp! That'd be so fun!" She said, a wide grin spreading across her maw.

ThunderClan Apprentice ♕ She/Her ♕ 7+ moons "I'm sorry, don't leave me, I want you here with me"
Sagepaw whipped her head around, surprised to see her sister. Beech! She exclaimed with a purr, touching her nose to her littermate's ear affectionately. They hadn't hung out with each other since they were kits. How's training goin'? She murmured, sitting down and wrapping her tail around Beechpaw.

Something seemed to switch after Flowerhawk’s ramble. The molly wasn’t really sure what, but the conversation felt a little different. A little less…awkward. She flinched as a strong wind buffeted her long fur, racking a chill through her bones. She giggled a little at Briarmask’s squeak. “It’s horrible sometimes!” she agreed. “Especially with all the wind! I don’t the cold or the snow too much, but the wind makes it miserable. It wouldn’t even feel this cold right now if it weren’t for the wind!”
Briarmask had stopped stuttering. Maybe that’s what had changed; she was more comfortable talking to Flowerhawk. They were getting along better. The thought put a small smile on the molly’s face. Oh— Briarmask started stuttering again. Maybe the cold had temporarily made her forget her nerves.
“Yeah,” Flowerhawk mewed, returning the other she’s smile. ”I get it. Socialization is not for the faint of heart!”
Briarmask
The she flicks a curled ear, nodding in agreement- relaxing further at the other molly's words. It feels like her life has been summed up in one sentence, a bubbly little laugh escaping her at the thought. To be fair, her heart is definitely something that would be classified that way. Talking so much is tiring. Oh- but what is there to say now? Is there going to be another awkward pause? Stars, why are all of her conversation topics slipping from her grasp? Okay think, think Bri.Recent patrols? No, too short lived, not really something that could lead to deeper topics. Besides, she hasn't gone on many patrols lately. Weather? No, they just talked about that! Love...? No- wait actually, she's been looking for another perspective on that. Rosewater is absolutely no help on the matter, she's much too protective for her own good. Wrenwing is hardly someone she can go to for romantic advice, that's not his specialty. She'd be too awkward to ask Weepingwillow, she barely knows her, even if she seems nice. Well, she barely knows Flowerhawk either... so maybe she'll talk to Weepingwillow actually. Alright quit it Briar! The faster she can force words up her throat and end this ever-present stretch of silence the better!
"H-hey Flowerhawk, do y-you like anyone?" That was a bit abrupt, she better elaborate, "I-I mean, I recently g-got a mate and... I was w-wondering if we could swap stories o-or something... or offer a-advice to each other? S-sorry, it's all I could think of."
Actually, that wasn't as much of a disaster as usual, she should get a pat on the back for that one.
Whitesptotch froze at Mallowkits question. She should have anticipated and probably thought about how to answer hard questions like that. What did her mother say? "They're... Very, very tired. Moonfur got so tired that it'll be a while before Moonfur wakes up again so he has to go to a special place to rest." Nailed it.
Upon Bumblestars request, she gently licked both of her kittens on their foreheads before padding away to gather the others. She spotted Marigoldkit first, so she padded up to him and gently nudged him on the shoulder with her muzzle. "Heya Marigoldkit. We gotta go back to the nursery. Bumblestars orders."
The molly looks up in surprise as she suddenly hears her brother's voice, a welcoming smile quickly replacing her startled expression, a soft purr rumbling in her throat.
"H-hey little bro, I've b-been pretty good! Of course you have," She says with an amused giggle, gesturing with her tail for him to come take a place next to her, "You w-want to share this?"
She looks down at the vole and back up to her younger brother, a sigh escaping her.
"On second thought, I'll go get you something else, the vole's pretty small," She says, heaving herself up, "What I do you you Wren."
She laughs, flicking Wrenwing's nose with her tail before going to retrieve him a good-sized squirrel, dropping it at his paws upon her return before plopping back down next to him.
"So what's b-been up with you lately, because I-I have some new news," She says, her tail flicking as she speaks, a hint of excitement in her tone.

| Sprucejumper | 15 Moons - ThunderClan Warrior
Kitty Softpaws [T2] - Active | Ultimate Predator - Inactive | Agatha Kitty - Active | Not Skiddin' Around - Active
It took a while to find her among the gathered cats. Especially considering how much effort Sprucejumper placed in not remembering faces. But Snotzilla was different. He had to make the effort to remember her. It was his job, and he intended to do it well... or at least as well as he could. He wasn't about to start begging her to go out training with him if he couldn't so much as spot- Ah... there she was. Looking straight at him. Good. That meant she knew he was looking for her.
Making his way through the cheerful throng of felines, the young warrior blinked, realizing that despite the orange tabby's gaze being in his general direction, she seemed to in fact not realize he had even called for her. Oh. Good. She had forgotten him in their time apart. A fact that would normally make him rejoice, as the more forgettable he was the less chances there were he would make enemies... and yet this was the one instance in which he would prefer for that not to be the case. The last thing he needed was to play the introductions game again. Once was enough, thank you very much.
Surprise flickered through the she-cat's sunset colored hues as she finally noticed his approach, and well... fair. Sprucejumper wasn't exactly known for being the charitable, comforting, warm type of feline. He left that to The Boulder. But then... surely his actions now were not... that strange, were they? What sort of mentor would not want to check up on their apprentice after said cat had been sick for months? Wasn't that what these weird star worshipers preached all the time? Togetherness and happiness and care and all that garbage that made cats think they mattered in some way? Then again, his first mentor had certainly not really cared enough to even get to know him, so maybe this wasn't what was expected... Oops. Too bad. Too late. He'd make sure to keep the gestures less grandiose in the future, he supposed.
Dropping the chipmunks before her, he glanced at her with his usual deadpanned gaze, making sure her current lapse in attention wasn't a sign that she was still far more sick than the herb cats had assessed. Not that... he necessarily cared. He just didn't want to catch whatever she'd had. Or have Angry yell at him for needlessly overexerting a sick cat. That was all. Perfectly logical explanation that he would be telling no one, because it wasn't none of their business anyways, hmph!
Musings cut short by a sudden growl of hunger - a sound he had become far too familiar with in his time in the city - the tom raised a brow, emerald eyes meeting Snotzilla's before he pushed the chipmunks towards her in a wordless offer. If he had to explain what the meal was for, then there was obviously something still wrong with his apprentice and he would have to drag her to Puppy for a check-up, but considering how eagerly the she-cat was staring at the fresh kill, he doubted that would be a problem. Upon reflection, however, he realized just how dead and lifeless her eyes had been mere moments before, and he could feel the unwelcomed tingles of concern nagging at the back of his mind, earning a mildly irritated twitch of his ear. Was she really still sick? If so, then maybe it was a good thing he had brought those chipmunks. Perhaps he should take to hunting fresh kill for her while she fully recovered? As a precaution, of course. Couldn't have his apprentice die or something on him, was all.
"Ailing?" he asked after having pushed the meal towards her, hopefully enticing her to eat.
Sprucejumper had considered instantly asking about training as she ate, assuming she would want to get that lost time back herself... but this seemed more urgent. The last time he had seen her so lifeless had been when she had been assigned to him as an apprentice, and then someone important to her had died or... gone missing or... something or other. He didn't keep up with the news of the clan as a whole; it was honestly a bit of a miracle he remembered as much as it was. And yet it did lead to his having to acknowledge that... she had been sitting quite lonesome in the clearing, despite having been quarantined for so long. Yes, he had given her some days to make sure she caught up with loved ones before resuming training but... he had expected her to be so surrounded by friends and family. That he would have to bribe her with the chipmunks just to pay attention to him. Had she been among those who had lost cats she cared about while the illness rampaged through the clan?
Quite possibly. But he wouldn't ask. It wasn't his place to. Besides, if experience had taught him anything it was that tears and words accomplished nothing to remove the pain. All he could do was give her space if she needed it. And if not, he could always give her plenty of work to take her mind off it while her heart shook away the needless ache that came from exposing itself to caring relationships. Everyone left. They abandoned you or died in the end. It was a fact of life, and nothing would change that.
