Brokenkit winced before looking at his rock. It was very special to him, for what reason he didn't know, and he hardly let anyone see it. And yet... Morningdust seemed... nice. "Promise you won't tell anyone?" He whispered, his bent ear twitching. @Phoenix Fire

Had she said something wrong? The kit winced, sort of like he was in pain. "Promise," she assured him. Morningdust was a cat that stuck to her word, and if she promised something, she would keep that promise. @Kyrieknight

Brokenkit watched her for a moment before finally revealing his special rock. It was a pale reddish pebble, hardly larger than his paw. It was only smooth, with a single little dent on the flat bottom.
"This is my special stone..." He said, pushing it slightly to Morningdust. "I-I found it while exploring one day, and I... like to play with it..." @Phoenix Fire

"Oh, that's nice," Morningdust mewed. It struck her that she didn't know the cat's name. "What's your name?" she asked kindly. @Kyrieknight

"Brokenkit," the dark tabby answered, tilting his head up at the queen. "Are you Morningdust?" @Phoenix Fire

"Yes, I am," Morningdust mewed, a bit surprised. Brokenkit must be very observant if he already knew the name of a queen who had just moved into the nursery. "It's nice to meet you." Brokenkit was so well behaved. She hoped her kits would be a bit like him, but she'd love them any way they were. @Kyrieknight

"Nice to meet you, too," Brokenkit said. He curled his tail around his paws and observed Morningdust for a moment. "I heard rumors about you becoming a queen soon. Will you be having kits soon, too...?" @Phoenix Fire

"Yes, in fact, I just moved in here! My kits will be coming soon," Morningdust mewed. In her head, she added sadly, And Twilight won't be able to see them. Her mate was a loner, he wasn't from ShadowClan. And she didn't know if she could sneak herself and her kits out to see him. @Kyrieknight

Brokenkit looked her over and gave her a small, comforting smile. "I-I'll do my best not to be a bother," he said. "Will you... let me play with them when they come? I-I promise to be gentle!" @Phoenix Fire

Morningdust's mood lifted as she chuckled. "You won't have to worry about being a bother. And of course I'll let you play with them," she said. Brokenkit was such a sweet kit, she would definitely let him play with her kits. He'd be a good influence on them, and a good friend. @Kyrieknight
