Flamepaw looked down at what Lightningpaw seemed to be looking at - a stone. It reminded her of how they first met, actually, when her bestie came asking if she had seen his stone. Had he ever found his stone? She didn't know, to be honest, but if anything they had a new one now - if that meant something. the apprentice looked back up at the other as he spoke, contemplating his question for a few moments "I... Suppose I could show you - s-sure. I'm not the best at it though-!" Flamepaw made sure to point out. She struggled with balance and Marigoldflame, her mentor, had made clear balance was important.

His rock was forgotten for the time being as he bounced, bounced, bounced around. This was gonna be so fun. And Stoneymentor would teach him more! Frostkit had been attempting to rest her head a little, but sleep was far from happening... The sounds of the nursery where abundant and loud as usual, and so where her internal thoughts. Almost like a flash flood of emotions was being held back by a beaver dam. "Why- oh StarClan, why?" the dark grey kit murmured to herself. Getting up, she was longing for someone to talk to. But no- no need to make others sad for her loss.

After a few lost-in-thought steps, she mistakenly tripped over a moss ball. Not saying anything, Frostkit was feeling very embarrassed.

After her name had been called and told she were going on an patrol, she needed to get the other members of her patrol. "Wildheart, Forestpaw?." she called out, hoping she wouldn't have to fetch them. She hated chasing after other cats she had work to do with.

Flamepaw felt a bit flustered by how Lightningpaw answered and his claims of her possibly being the bestest at it - she knew it hadn't been his ntention, though it surely managed to add some pressure onto it. The young apprentice though back, recalling her mentor's before she slowly started dropping into an unbalanced crouch "It's something like... th-this.." she fumbled, watching her paws "uhm.. Ah - you need to even out your weight" she sifted her paws and adjusted her stance so her weight was more even "I think and... W-watch out for pebbles. Yeah" that's what she recalled for now. Flamepaw remained crouched for a few moments, thinking back to if there was anything else she may have missed.

Kestrelflame's tail lashed a single time as she heard she was going on another border patrol. That was fine, she was on the last patrol of the ShadowClan border so she would know what to expect. Though, she had to admit that it would have been a bit more interesting to have a different border this time.
Hearing Lionpaw's excited yell Kestrelflame would twitch her ears. It was kind of funny seeing him more excited to come out of camp. Last conversation they had was more of an awkward battle of wills. Finding out she was going to be mentoring him was still odd for sure. "Let's go than, Lightningstrike can catch up." The calico suggested. Last patrol she had just gone straight to the border and waited for the patrol leader to show up. "Unless you would like to wait on her?" Kestrelflame offered, honestly in a more mellow mood today.

The thrill of killing Beetlepaw was ebbing away as Hareflood made his way back to camp. Now that the deed was done and the body disposed, he had to think..

Buckstar hadn't said to not kill him, but Hareflood wanted to make sure this was something that couldn't be held against them in the future. A clean slate, they were only defending themselves. They were victims and heroes.

It came to him as an epiphany: the perfect story of how they hunted Beetlepaw down and found him with Timberpaw. He had turned her against the Clan, twisted her to side against them - and when he attacked, she attempted to follow suit. Through mercy, they spared her but had no choice but to eliminate Beetlepaw.

It covered all aspects: the treachery, the execution, how they let Timberpaw go. Who would trust that snake anyway if she tried to say otherwise? Hareflood and Sunpoppy were both BADASSES, two apprentices couldn't touch a hair on their pelt.

"Buckstar." He announced his presence just before he stepped into the den, and then he froze.

Any plan he had conjured in his mind was-- gone, his mind was blank. "Uh... Job's done, Beetlepaw's uh, dead. Yeah. Traitorpaw helped him attack us, er.., we sent her packing back to camp. Uh.. yeah..." Awkwardly, he shuffled out of the den, embarrassed and wanting to be done with this.

Lightpaw sighed. He hadn't been getting good sleep lately. But on the plus side, the bags under his eyes made him look edgy!! He turned to Mothmask with a dead-eyed stare.
"Looks like we have a patrol to go on." he meowed flatly.

Lightpaw, despite himself, chuckled as well. Part of him had missed having these conversations. He ate some more dove before turning to Smokekit.
"Hey, when d'you think you'll be an apprentice?" he asked.

Smokekit shrugged, “Next meetin I’d assume, what miss me in the apprentice den already?” He asked with a bit of a smile. Something seemed a bit different about his brother. Everything wasn’t about him anymore.
