The brown tabby tom craned his neck, ears perking as his name was called. Lionstorm called him? Interest sparked in him, listening as the golden tom spoke about a hunting patrol. Troutleap..had seen her before, but he felt pride in his chest as he was chosen as the leader of the patrol. He gave a nod, looking at [the green eyes silver molly. He gave a purr as a small greeting, "Troutleap." he greeted, flicking his tail as he remembered Spiderpaw. Maybe she'd want to come! He gave a quick look around the clearing, turning back to her. "You wouldn't mind if my apprentice came along would you? If she wants to of course."

Troutleap smiled. "No, that's fine." She had seen the lively young she-cat at Gatherings and on patrols; the apprentice was eager to learn and caught on quickly to new concepts. "Where should we hunt? I'd say the river, if Spiderpaw has a knack for fishing, but you're the patrol leader, so it's up to you."

Oakflame gave a nod, giving the clearing another quick scan as to look for the dark molly. "As Lionstorm said, we'll hunt by the Windclan border. We'll try to hunt as much as we can without taking a long time." he meowed, flicking his tail towards the entrance.

[o o f sry didn't read bill's post all the way through lol]
"Alright," she mewed. Troutleap was eager to be on a patrol again, as she hadn't been on one for a while. "Prey's been running well; we should be able to bring home a few sparrows, at least," she noted. It was true: newleaf was here, and prey was more abundant than ever. Patrols were coming home with as much food as they could carry, sometimes even having to make two trips. Still, their ever-growing Clan always needed more food to sustain itself, and Troutleap was ready to do her part.

Clouddash nodded with a tentative smile, "Okay lead the way!" The gray and white tom mewed and followed the white she-cat out into the territory. He was glad he was going with someone else and not alone for once.

He's a RiverClan cat, just like the rest of us. What's the worst he can say, no? Still, I should definitely wait until I'm a warrior. I have a lot to focus on already: patrols, in-camp duties, training... training! "Oh, mouse-dung!" Otterpaw exclaimed. "I've got training today with Mintflower! I'm supposed to meet her at the reed barrier at sunhigh... what time is it?" She glanced up at the sun, which was almost settled at the highest point in the sky. "Oh, great StarClan..." she muttered. "I'm sorry, Finchkit, I have to go. Catch you later, though! Maybe I can teach you some hunting moves tomorrow morning," she offered.

Finchkit purred as and wiggled in excitement, "It is a cool name isn't it!? And it'll be mine one day!" The pale tabby she-kit mewed confidently as she moved her hazel gaze wistfully towards the leader's den. She could barely contain her excitement even though Otterpaw said it wasn't certain she would be her mentor, "I'm sure Fallenstar would say yes! You're great!" She mewed although she didn't know how skilled the apprentice was. In fact, everyone was pretty impressive to the naive kit, Otterpaw is amazing! she thought to herself cheerfully. Finshkit restrained a cry of disappointment and instead smiled, "Okay! Have fun at training Otterpaw!" She squeaked dipping her head goodbye.

You got my shy timid girl to mentor w. Angelwing.))
Creekpaw basked in the warm almost summer sunlight, a purr rumbling from her throat. She had a mentor, and It was almost summer! She lazily batted at a petal floating through the air, purring still.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Otterpaw trotted out of the apprentices' den, her pelt bristling with excitement. Greenleaf was almost here! She could hardly wait! The river would be warm, perfect for swimming, and the fish would be more abundant than ever. Of course, she was excited about the latter statement - more prey was always good for the clan - but she was most excited about the river being warm enough to swim in. Though she told all of the ThunderClan 'paws at the last Gathering that she was already a master of swimming, she actually hadn't learned yet. She'd learned how to fish, but the water still wasn't quite warm enough to swim in. Otterpaw sighed. She knew she shouldn't wish the days away, but she just couldn't wait to learn how to gracefully dive into the water like all of the warriors! Suddenly, Otterpaw's belly growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten since dawn. Well, let's see here, she thought. I've finished the hunting patrol, cleaned out the warriors' den, and checked the elders for ticks... I think I'm finished! No more duties for today! Whiskers twitching with a newfound sense of accomplishment, she bounded over to the fresh-kill pile to see what the dusk patrol brought back.

Chivekit had been busy snoozing lightly in the nursery, but suddenly awoke for no apparent reason. She lay still for a few heartbeats, light gaze wandering around the nursery, admiring the dapple of the sun just barely shining through the reeds. Eventually, the kit rolled to her paws, swiping her tongue across the pelt she could reach in effort to smooth her sleep-ruffled fur, and trotted over to the entrance of the den. Taking a moment to adjust to the brighter light, Chivekit pranced out of the nursery, looking around camp with wide eyes. She still wasn't used to how big it was.

Otterpaw was making her way to the fresh-kill pile, the cool evening breeze ruffling her fur. The pile looked very full, almost overflowing. She had done some hard work today; she thought she might treat herself to a large piece of prey, perhaps a squirrel. Her mind set on her evening meal, she didn't even notice the small kit standing in the clearing, and when she did, it was too late. "Whoa!" she exclaimed as her paws stumbled over the tiny ball of fluff. She hit the ground with a thud, nearly faceplanting into the earth. "Fox-dung," she swore under her breath as she helped herself to her paws. She looked over at the kit. "Sorry!" she exclaimed. "I wasn't looking where I was going; are you okay?"

Chivekit hissed in surprise, jumping nearly a foot into the air, fur standing on end. Once she had realized what happened, her fur began to lie flat once more. "Are you alright?" She mrowed at the same time Otterpaw spoke, and therefore not hearing the apprentice's own question.
