Mousekit is just nearby, laying on her side in a corner of the den and staring at seemingly nothing, intently. Strange little guy. They perk up once Owlkit is awake, however.

He flops his head over onto the ground, splaying out further and watching Owlkit with a keen eye. Observing his behavior so far, they mimic his sequence of actions as he wakes up. Yawning, stretching. Looking back over. Copying the shaking and sitting up. Mousekit gives themselves a mental “gold star.” Or something cat equivalent….

Mousekit then trots over and sort of stands there weirdly, just staring at Owlkit, formulating a sentence or invitation. But what shall he say? Ask to play? Surely that would be good. Everyone loves to play. You’re a genius, Mousekit.

“Would you like to do an activity with me?” They say after an awkward moment of staring silently at Owlkit. Well, perhaps not awkward for Mousekit, as they seem to believe they are doing excellent at socializing.

The little tom-kit startled slightly as his sibling appeared before him. Ah, jeez! Really, Mousy? He huffed and shook his head, his nose scrunching. Well, at least his littermate just wanted to play. Owlkit loved games!

"Sure! What do you wanna do? Tag or moss ball or Clan?" He started spouting off whatever games he thought of before going quiet again and looking back at his sibling. His head tilting to one side. All games were very, very fun. Despite the unsettling manner in which Mousekit sometimes acted, Owlkit never found his littermate any less than awesome. Well, they were best friends!

Mousekit runs through the options provided, listening carefully for indication of what Owlkit might favor, though not really being able to pick up a signal. That left Mousekit to deciding. With her eyes out of focus, they take a moment to process.

Saying “You pick” could lead to a back and forth scenario, and that gets nowhere. If I select a game that Owlkit doesn’t like that much, despite their general like for all games, it would be disappointing. The choice IS up to me, however...

“I think… Clan… And you can pick what role you want first,” Mousekit decides, picking up a similar cheerful voice, zoning back in. The rational would be that even if Owlkit was not favorable towards this game, they could at least choose a fun position. She mimics Owlkit’s head tilt upon noticing as well.

His little legs supported him as he stood and he let out a happy noise. Something between a purr and some sort of trill.

"I'm gonna be the... medicine cat. And you can be the leader!" He said with a smile, gathering up bits of moss and some fuzz for their pretend-game. He had no clue how herbs worked, but he'd love to know more. He looked at his sibling for approval of his choice.

She peered around Hawkfrost at the queen, anxiety in her eyes. All she could think about was how alone that little kit must feel, and the other kit too, to aatch their motherdie before their eyes.
