(sorry this is so short!)
leaf-bare was always...annoying to nightpaw. her black fur stood out against the snow like a sore paw. how in starclan was she supposed to hunt in this stuff? the large apprentice sat hunched grumpily at the exit of the thunderclan camp, waiting on jaggedpaw. she didn’t want to go hunting with him at the butt crack of dawn in the ice cold, but with passionstar busy and her own mentor sick with the plague, the healthy apprentices had to make best of whatever time they had. such great news her. she never really liked jaggedpaw, but whenever he’s not being a punk he seems...alright. their warrior ceremony is only a few moons away now, so at least she won't have to put up with him much longer. a bold thing to assume, nightpaw. bold indeed.

A small black kitten sprinted through the forest, the bell on her collar jangling. Nothing could stop her and her excitement. She was determined to find the surprise her friend had told her about, whatever it was.
