' don't worry! i think it's cool that i get to train one of the new apprentices to the clan. ' hickory's happiness was genuine, and he licked his paw and ran it over its ear. ' if you're feelin' up to it, we could start on the border tours? unless you know 'em already. '

“Really?” He asked, feeling his cheeks heat with embarrassment, and his chest swell with pride when he heard his mentor compliment him. His silly smile grew even bigger as his mentor called it cool to mentor a newbie like him. Now he would work extra hard, to make both himself and his mentor look good. He wouldn’t let Hickorysplinter down!

“I’d like to start on a border tour, please… Hickory.” He says, slightly hesitant to try out the nickname. It felt wrong and disrespectful to refer to the warrior so casually. Hickorysplinter was his mentor, not just another apprentice. He flicked his tail with a grin. “I’m ready whenever you are!” He exclaimed cheerfully.

Departing from the medicine den, Dawnstar swiftly made her way over to the Shadowledge. She had quite a bit to go over this moon. It started as a good moon and then it just went downhill from there. She tensed her muscles, trying not to aggravate her wounds or knock off the fresh cobwebs that covered them, and leaped up. She silently praised herself, landing atop the chilly stone, for not knocking any of the bandages off.

She had an urge to itch at her shoulders but did her darndest to refrain. Instead, she took a seat and rhythmically slid her claws in and out to distract herself from itching. "Gather beneath the Shadowledge for a clan meeting." Dawnstar roared aloud. She lowered herself into a crouch and waited to see the clan gather.

Moonmeadow looked over as they heard the call of their leader ring out into the air. Hmm.. they wondered what the topic would be, surely it would cover the raid that was coming up, but what else. The feline made their way over and found a place to sit and wait for the meeting to begin.

(Short and bad but :shrugs: )

Cornpuff heeded the leader's summons, padding to the rest of her audience gathering beneath the rock, flicking his tail in "goodbye" to Darkcloud.

Mossfreckle had just finished tidying his work space in the med den when oriental shaped ears perked as they heard Dawnstar yowl from the Shadowledge for the clan to gather up, white tipped paws padded quickly out of belly of his den and into the frosty clearing - he was thankful for the moist earth as it wiped off the renaming marigold poultice from his white tipped paws. Freckled oriental form pressed its way to the front here he sat, feathery tail curling over his paws, and flicked his mossy hues upwards to the muscled she-cat. With a silent prayer he thanked Starclan that none of the cobwebes he had bandaged the dark pelted feline with had come undone as she had taken the leap up onto the jutting rock. Mossfreckle’s pelt did prickle a little anxiously though as he took in the displeased look on Dawnstar’s face… this meeting was sure to bare some sort of displeasing news, they thought as white tipped tail began to twitch with annoyance or anxiety or some strange combination of the two.
