As soon as she heard her name called, Dawnstripe had made her way over to her mother. She had already assumed that she'd be tagging along with her mother and was genuinely pleased to see that she had not assigned that one tom, Foxface or whatever his name was, with them. Instead, it was Wolfglare, Dawnstripe's tolerance of him was much higher than with most cats in the clan. She dropped back a tail length or so to take up the rear of the patrol as she followed the older cats. Her ears twisted in Wolfglare's direction as he asked a question. She listened for her mother's answer, to preoccupied with own thoughts to bother with much chatter. This new bit of territory they'd be taking was most likely going to need to patrolled often to establish a proper claim, she doubted they'd get much fuss from rogues it was the other predators that they'd have to keep out.

Mottledsong felt her neck fur bristling. " Yeah, that's because I groom it. Something you obviously don't do" she replied " and what are you doing on our territory " @Burntpebble

Icestar padded along the frozen marsh, occassionally flicking snowmelt from her paws as she walked. When Wolfglare asked her a question, she flicked an ear in his direction.
"We will be taking a few fox-lengths, at least. Maybe more." She was feeling pretty ambitious with this expansion. She'd seen a particular thing while patrolling recently, and she wanted to check it out closer. If it was indeed what she thought it was, then she wanted it. "My main concern is competition with foxes, or badgers, perhaps. It's nothing we can't fend off, but it would surely be a nuisance."

Morningeye huffed, followed by a sly smirk. "Perhaps." He began moving his tail slowly, around the ground. "It was only just a small idea." Morningeye padded behind the frosty bushes and began his hunt.

He sniffed the air for a certain type of aroma. As he went deeper into forest, Morningeye stopped as the smell he looked for was right in front of him: A single small robin. He pounced onto it, held it into his mouth, and headed back to Maggotmouth.

Moon had never felt so insulted. Especially by such a beautiful cat. But this was no time for admiration, she was angry, and he had to be angrier. “First of all!..”
He Barked. “I do groom myself! And it’s not my fault I’m not constantly being coddled by other cats! I know how to live off the land without help. Unlike this PRISS, standing in front of me” There was a long pause, moon looked bewildered, and, shutting his eyes, prayed silently that his end would be quick .

“Foxes and badgers become more vicious during leaf-bare.” Wolfglare commented, ears twitching as he glanced around. They’d reached near the edge of the territory, the pine trees remaining, but the ground ahead growing more marshy. The tom but back a growl of disgust at the look of the mud. He hoped the cold had frozen it over somewhat, the tomcat hated having to clean his thick fur after every interaction he had with mud. It took him a while and mud didn’t have the greatest taste.
He could smell the faint scent of their outside border, something barely there. It was dark and gloomy within the line trees ahead, and Wolfglare squinted, trying to make sense of the shadows ahead. His maw twitched as he tried to hold back a smile at the look of the territory ahead of them. “Looks like we’re about to enter the dark forest here.” He meowed, trying to remain serious but allowing some semblance of a smile to cross his face. “Not that I would mind it though.”

Mottledsong was angry but she wouldn't let the rouge get under her fur so she acted like she didn't hear the insult. " What are you doing on Shadowclan territory?" She said @Burntpebble

Mottledsong heard a familiar yowl and started looking for the source. What felt like seasons of searching she found him sitting on a stump. " Shadowclaw " she said hoping he could hear her. @caswshay617

Falconpaw was feeling good.

After abandoning the stupid wannabe warrior in camp, he had padded into the forest to explore the territory for himself. He refused to be bossed around by a couple she-cats-- if they did not want to give him a male mentor, that was fine. He would teach himself.

His path led him through the pine forest, dense brush that thinned into a charred woodland. Falconpaw could hardly grasp why the trees were so black, lifeless, but.. it surely was a sign StarClan had punished the Clan for the she-cats running wild?

He did not have long to linger on that thought when he heard a rough noise, a sort of.. growl? But it was not a cat! A quick whirl around put him face to face with a beast that was larger than him, with a longer muzzle and especially longer fangs. Was this what a fox looked like?! Hackles raised, Falconpaw's immediate reaction was to sprint-- turning on his paws to dash through the forest with the creature hot on his tail.
