The tom shook his head at Firesparks' comment about forever queens. "I can't imagine being in there at all, I'd never be able to give up patrolling. Thank goodness I'm a tom," he chuckled. A question burned in his mind- would Firesparks ever want to be a queen? Obviously not a forever queen, but... did she want kits? He shook his head to get the questions out of his head, but it did little to help. He refused to ask, anyways. That seemed like a little too much too soon, even if he was confident in how he felt about the molly.

And thus, ramble mode was activated. "Well, at least you know you're getting an apprentice. Blazingstar kinda stuck me with Larkpaw unexpectedly. I love the little one but a bit more mental preparation is needed for her. She's like a little kit. I don't mind kits at all, actually I want some of my own someday, but Larkpaw is an apprentice... She needs to start acting like one..." When the she-cat realized she had started rambling at the tom, she pinned her ears in embarrassment. "Sorry, I didn't mean to start rambling," she said, giving her chest fur a couple of quick licks.

Owlspark's whiskers twitched in amusement at her rambling, though he kept himself from laughing for the molly's sake- she did appear embarrassed and he didn't want to make her feel worse. Though, in his opinion, Firesparks' rambling was quite cute. You find everything about her cute, mouse-brain. "Most new apprentices still act like kits," he pointed out. "They're basically still kits- a ceremony doesn't change their age. Some of them are more energetic than others, though. For your sake let's hope she gets more mellow as you guys train more." He grinned, and hesitated slightly before venturing farther into something else the she-cat had mentioned. "And, if you don't mind me asking, but... you want kits someday?" Almost as soon as he asked the question, he regretted it and darted his gaze away, tail flickering anxiously. "I'm sorry, that was personal. You don't have to answer it."

Firesparks was caught unawares at his appology. She strived to be a very open cat, so she assumed that Owlsparks knew she wanted kits someday. "Well yeah. Someday I want a litter or two of my own running around camp. What heterosexual, cis-gendered she-cat wouldn't?" she asked with a smile. "You should know better than anyone that I try to be extremely open, Owlspark. Especially with you. There's nothing you could ask that's too personal for me to answer."

Willowkit looked over at Beekit. Maybe she could tell Willowkit, unlike Coniferkit. "Beekit!" She bounced over to her sister. "Is there something in my eye?" Opening her eyes wide, she pushed her face towards her sister. "There must be something, it's all blurry," she complained.

Beekit squealed in surprise,"Your eye is going everywhere at one time!"

Featherheart purred, giving Beekit a lick on her ears. "Your awake sleepy head." She purred, poking her head outside. Rain was slowly starting to poor down, "You should stay inside today." Feathertail said, trying to stop a small leak in the roof.

And yes, he was sure of it now: he loved Firesparks. What else could this be? Feeling a bit bolder, he asked another question. "Thank you. I would love to be open with you, right now, if you'll let me?" He rushed the words out before he gave himself a chance to second guess what he was about to confess. He held her gaze, knowing that she would let him say what he intended to, and determined not to look away as he did so. It wasn't something to be embarrassed about, though he was starting to fear what the molly's reaction would be.

"I'm not being mouse-brained! You're the one that's being mouse-brained!", Foxkit exclaimed. Eelgaze blinked staring at Foxkit, saying nothing. Rushflame looked at him, and then looked at Eelgaze. "Why can't they ever get along..?", he sighed. Eelgaze shrugged. "Foxkit, stop yelling please...", she said. Foxkit turned to face her. "Why?", Foxkit growled. Rushflame sighed. "If he goes on like this still, we're going to have to put him in 'timeout'.", the kits' father meowed. Eelgaze nodded.

Foxkit turned back to look at Specklekit and Mudkit. "And I would name you Specklestupid", he mumbled to Specklekit. "Foxkit!", Eelgaze glared at him, unhappy by his tone of voice and arrogance. "Yes, Mother?", he sighed. "Go to your father right now, and if you really were a clan leader, you would not, I repeat, would not name one of your warriors Specklestupid."

Foxkit nodded, not saying anything else as he headed towards Rushflame. "Foxkit, timeout, now.", he growled, unhappy with his arrogant son. The dark ginger kit sighed, sitting down, facing Rushflame.

(Sometimes I wish I didn't make Foxkit as a character tbh.... 0w0 Once Foxkit is mad, it's hard to make him happy again.)

Mudkit rolled his eyes, going off to find something with less.. arguing. He hated it, as he rolled up a ball of moss he scoffed. "They can never get along." He muttered, but his cheery attitude quickly returned. "At least I can still play mossball!"

Firesparks sat down and curled her tail around her paws, concern on her face. "Anything you have to say I will listen to, Owlspark," she said. "What is it?" The molly silently hoped for something she knew would likely not happen. Not this soon, but still she hoped. Even more so, she hoped it wasn't something bad that the tom she had grown to love over the past few weeks had to say. She was nervous, almost as much as Owlspark seemed to be. There was such haste in his words... "Is everything okay?"

"Well, I know we haven't known each other like this for a long time, and that this is very sudden, but," the tom paused yet again, his nervous gaze trained on the molly. He wondered if she had any clue as of yet to what he was about to say, figuring she probably would. "But I do know that my feelings have grown quickly over that time. I love you, Firesparks." Despite his nerves, his voice was confident as he made his confession; he was sure of his feelings, just not of the molly's yet. So, he would wait there for her reaction before he continued.

The only thing that could make the she-cat happier was seeing Alderscreech safely home, but she knew that wouldn't happen for a bit. After all, this surprise was almost better than seeing her mentor and close friend back in Windclan again.

Owlspark anxiously shifted from paw to paw during the silence. She was taking a while to respond; perhaps she was thinking of a polite way to turn him down? He hoped not. Relief flooded the tabby as soon as Firesparks nuzzled him and he relaxed, happiness making him feel as if he was floating. "Thank Starclan," he murmured during their nuzzle. "You had me worried there." He stepped back and looked Firesparks in the eyes, a new thrill filling him- she loved him too! "Well then, I think this is typically the part where I ask you to be my mate, no?" He teased, his smile unable to leave. Oh, just wait until they got back to camp! Until he told Hawkfeather... his friend would surely be overjoyed.
