“Hmm.” Thomas thought for a moment. “I like to do a lot of things. I play video games, I like to go running, swimming is fun too, and bike riding. I also like to help out at the animal shelter.” Thomas smiled. “I really like animals, dogs especially. What about you?” Thomas was glad that this girl liked him. He hoped he wasn’t coming off as annoying, as he usually did, with his constant smiling and talking.

“Really? What animal shelter? I would love to help sometime..” She smiled at him. “Well...I don’t really do much after school, my parents can be..err overprotective.” She grimaced a bit. Ivory pretty much had a boring life after school, which was why she wanted to attend school in the first place. “So your first day? Are you from elsewhere then?”

Rune raised an eyebrow as she spoke. “Sure there’s plenty of pros in living forever but there’s also cons too. For instance, if I don’t drink blood when I’m supposed to I’ll attack whoever is close without a seconds thought. Also as you live through eras, you find yourself growing bored with life. You’ve been to every place seen everything. History tends to repeat as well which is quite dull. I guess the only entertaining things is correcting a teacher about history. Then you get to watch someone you care about grow old, move on and then die. I think living everyday not knowing when you’ll day is more exciting then living forever, cutie.” Rune took out a bottle filled with red liquid and took a drink before replying. “Rune and yours?”

Eliza grabbed some fried chicken before leading the way towards a table. Taking a bite, her eyes grew wide. “This has got to be the best chicken I’ve tasted!”

“I think the shelters called Loving Homes, but I’m not entirely sure. It’s across from the Food Lion on Maple street, though.” Thomas grinned. It would be nice to have someone else volunteering with him at the shelter. Usually, he was one of the only ones that went there. “Well, if your parents let you volunteer, I could drive you there. If that’s okay with you.” He froze slightly at the mention of this being his first day. “Yeah, we just moved here. It’s only me and my mom, and we tend to move around a lot, unfortunately.” Thomas sighed, rubbing his neck.

Hei huffed and had a small smile she looked at her iPod " hei " she answered with a twitch of her ears " what ever you say Edward Cullen " she joked a grin crawled on her face now looking back at Rune with an impish smile " you know , you can try all you want . But your not getting me to fall head over heels for you . If that be the case ." she added her tone turned to a stern one in the last sentence . She yawned and leaned back in her chair as well now putting in an earbud in then she started nodding her head rather ...fast almost making her get a headache but she didn't care it was a good song .

Fallen discreetly walked through the school to her classroom. Once she found it, she entered and sat in a desk far from the others and closest to the windows. She looked around and saw a few others, an. . . angel, a werewolf, a few nekos, and some others. She furled her dark wings against her back and stared out the window with her head resting on her right hand.

He had been drinking blood when she called him that. He choked on the blood, nearly spitting it out but managed to swallow it. “Edward Cullen?” Rune sputtered. Did she really just call him Edward Cullen? “Excuse me kitten, but I am not Edward Cullen. He is a disgrace to vampires. Seriously? Glittering in the sunlight like some precious jewel. Don’t confuse me with him, cutie.” He laughed a bit darkly. Rune leaned forward and plucked the ear bud out of her ear. “We’ll see about that, beautiful.” He grinned as he leaned back once more
