Ferretkit paused, placing his flowers gently on the ground as he looked at Birdpaw. What had made her sad? He didn't like when cats were sad. He looked at her for a few moments, tail drooping before looking at his clanmates, they noticed to. Getting to his paws he carefully put his rainbow flowers in a pile before taking a step toward's Birdpaw. "I'm sorry Birdpaw..." He mumbled quietly.

Storksong hadn’t noticed when the event was first called, but the gathering crowd quickly caught his attention. After a quick stretch, the flame-point tom trotted over from the shady patch he had been resting in. His eyes flitted over the flowers curiously. It seemed RiverClan had a very interesting flower motif in recent days, with colorful blooms seeming to appear in every event. He thought it to be a rather pleasant trend; it had been a while since he’d seen flowers be celebrated.

His hazel eyes flicked up the Birdpaw, ears pricked as he waited for instruction. He hadn’t spoken to her before, which seemed a bit of a shame. He enjoyed chatting with the kiddos, and with how cheerful this particular molly way, it surprised him they had never crossed paths. Though.. her peppy demeanor seemed to deflate a little as cats already began taking flowers from the pile. Most of them were young, so he didn’t fault them, but a few seemed old enough to know better than to act before receiving instructions.

He was relieved to see Fawnpaw step up first, gently returning control of the event to Birdpaw. Koipool also spoke up, though in a much more attention-grabbing way. “Birdpaw, I would love to hear what you collected all of these flowers for, it seems you worked very hard in doing so. I suspect that Fawnpaw may be correct in that these flowers may mean a little more than just their beauty?” The kid deserved a fair shot at orchestrating her event the way she wanted it to go. Besides, as a warrior with a deep appreciation in nature, Storksong would rather like to see what meaning Birdpaw had found in these flowers.

Frail Elkkit poofed into existence in the event. The grey little tom was feeling especially skittish and defensive as he hadn't a clue where mother and his siblings were since he woke up, but just stumbled upon this event with many... Many cats he wasn't familiar with. And weird little... Flowers? What was he supposed to do with that? Feeling uncomfortable, he hid in a corner.

Why had everyone suddenly shifted in their mood? Were they not supposed to touch the flowers anymore? Why was the cat in the middle of the clearing sad? Had he done something wrong? Greenkit looked around in concern. Maybe... maybe he should back away. Out of the spotlight and out of potential trouble... for now. The kit backpedals towards the nursery, not looking where he's going.

Featherspirit smiled picked up some flowers and decorated outside the warriors den a little bit keeping to herself not really talking all that much.

Almondstripes looked at his nest, already littered with feathers, shiny rocks, and shells. It wouldn’t hurt to add a few flowers. He padded over to where he thought would be acceptable to take flowers from and started decorating his nest, making patterns of pretty shells and feathers with little white flowers poking out all around. He stood back and looked at his creation.

It’s beautiful.

He suddenly wondered if he could decorate other places. He never though of himself as one for pretty flowers and sleek pelts, but he realized that he certainly had an eye for making patterns of color. His pond where he swam with his father could use some more color. What about the elders’ den? The kits wouldn’t mind if he wove some feathers into their nests, would they?

Ferretkit glanced into the warriors den. It looked fun but didn't smell all that nice. Other then the pretty flowers coming from a nest. His gaze paused on Almondstripes nest, tilting his head. It looked pretty! He glanced at the tom, watching for a moment. "Did you make that?" He mewed from the entrance.

Almondstripes froze at the voice. “I- um… Yes. It wasn’t all today, but I made it.” He looked over at the kit, his eyes softening.

He didn’t know what came over him. He didn’t know if it was the small kit or the peace of making the patterns of flowers and shells, but he felt his barriers crashing down, like he was a kit again. Like he was with his father at the pond. He smiled.
