DaisyDream listened to their patrolmate. "Maybe it's not such a bad thing she wants to speed up her training..." DaisyDream said with a smile. "I blew through my training and here I am! A warrior at 10 moons!" They purred. "But maybe give her some space! She needs to be able to spread her wings and discover things on her own!" DaisyDream suggested with a smile.
Hawkgrowl stopped, thinking. He pondered her suggestion. Let her go? But then who would protect her from the cruel world? Who would be by her side when she had nightmares? Who would be there to defend her when she was in an argument? Who would be there to comfort her when she cried? Certainly not their parents, they were long gone. He sighed. Maybe nobody, because she didn't do any of those things. Maybe...she didn't need him anymore. Deeply saddened, he opened his mouth for scents half-heartedly. His eyes widened as he smelled it. Bird. His mouth watered and he signaled with his tail for the younger warrior to be silent. He crept forward in the direction of the smell, being as silent as he could. Once he reached it, he leaped, and nipped it to kill it. Beaming, he brought it to Daisydream and dropped it. He buried it under some earth to take later. "Let's continue."

DaisyDream padded after him, in silence as he thought. HawkGrowl eventually found a scent and they stalked after him. After he swiftly killed it he suggested the patrol should keep going. "Yeah..." DaisyDream said a bit sad. They sniffed the air and found the scent of another bird. In an instant, they crouched down and motioned to HawkGrowl with their tail. They followed the scent and quickly pounced on the unsuspecting prey. They smiled to theirself and buried it, waiting for HawkGrowl.

Hawkgrowl watched in silence as the she cat raised her tail. He nodded silently, waiting for her to get the prey. Once she returned he continued. He walked forward, searching for sounds and smells, unable to find any. He glanced at Daisydream, wondering if she had better luck.

DaisyDream padded after their peer and sniffed the air. After coming up with no scents, they drank the scent only to find some stale scents. They shook their head when HawkGrowl glanced at her.

Hawkgrowl continued walking. After a couple minutes, he opened his mouth and scented the air. His mouth watered when he smelled it. Mouse. He followed the scent through a bush, crept up, leapt, and caught it. It was a small mouse, but it would fit. One more piece of prey and they could probably head back. There was barely any prey left over anyways.

DaisyDream smiled and opened their mouth to drink in the scent. They smelt a mouse and quickly stalked it. They swiftly caught it and smiled. "Let's collect it and go back! This should be enough!" They said with a smile.
Shademoss plucked another comfrey leaf off and padded over to a bush of lady’s mantle, plucking three off. He nodded to the others. “Grab some comfrey and some of this before we head back. Wouldn’t want to return to Elmshadow empty-pawed.”
