Brackenpaw looked up at her leader as her name was called. Ew, Frogfang. She stood up, looking around for her patrolmates. This was stupid. She was old enough to be a warrior. And she should be one. Soon. Then she could lead a patrol. That was probably why her 'mom' (it was strange, calling Dawnstar her mother. didn't feel like the leader was her mom, but that was how it worked, since Brackenpaw was her 'daughter') didn't appoint a patrol leader, because she probably wanted to give Brackenpaw the chance to lead it.

She didn't know Longshadow, but she did know that Smokemoon, Fiercefire and Frogfang were in this weird feud. So it would be Frogfang and Fiercefire versus Smokemoon. The odds weren't pretty, but they hardly ever were, and anyways, Brackenpaw didn't give a mouse-tail what happened between the angsty toms. They were all so immature, how were they all fathers?!

She stood up, lashing her tail ever so slightly. ''Smokemoon, Fiercefire, Longshadow, Frogfang! Get your asses over here!'' She was the 'apprentice', why did she have to be the one to gather them.

Patrols were fine, nothing too important. Simple and smooth, especially hunting patrols. For once, things seemed to be going her way. Falconfeather had been assigned to a patrol with someone she knew, for once. Elmshadow wasn't a half-bad cat, the way he had embraced his loss in their race was perfectly respectable. She trotted over to Loonfeather and Elmshadow, a little late, but not too off. There seemed to be some sort of frustration between the two of them, though not large enough to temper with the patrol. "Sorry, I'm late. I'm ready to go." She'd be fine with leaving the fourth member if it saved them from the threat of turning in late. They could always catch up.

"So uh, since Lightingpelt isn't coming, let's head towards the WindClan border. Hopefully we'll catch those mange pelts on our territory." The patrol leader gave them both a smile as Duskmoth took a few steps away, and shook out their fur. They looked behind them, motioning with their paw for Ravenpaw and Rufflefeather to follow. "Come on now, let's not waste any time. Dawnstar will rip our pelts off and line her nest with them if we don't head out, I doubt you two would like that either.


Duskmoth's gleaming amber eyes flickered between the two, awaiting their respone.

Firepaw sighed a little on the inside. Houndclaw was his mentor but he didn't really know the other two, and so far Mosswhisker, the one who had been assigned as leader seemed... energetic.., to say the least...

"I'm here, don't make a big deal about this" he mewed to the warrior as he padded up to them.

It took a second to remember Duskmoth was there, but he eventually snapped out of his spacing-out bit. He nodded to Ravenpaw, before following behind Dusk’, worried what would happen. He knew things with Windclan were…risky. He’d wished that he was with Thunderclan, but that wouldn’t be easy to get, even with luck. Walking forward, he took the rest of the time thinking the worst when getting to the border.

Elmshadow smiled slightly as Falconfeather padded up to them. "Nice to see you again, Falconfeather." It'd be an odd balance going out with both Loonfeather and Falconfeather and Elmshadow wasn't yet sure whether it'd be a positive, negative, or neutral. He quickly scanned the clearing but saw no sign of Eaglewing so he shrugged and turned to the other two. "Are you both ready to head out? Eaglewing can catch up."

(Any preferences on where to go or just out in Shadowclan territory?)

Frostbite entered the clearing, a vole between his teeth, just in time to see patrols setting out for the day. His name was called faintly by a warrior somewhere in the midst of the throng. Great. He must have been assigned to a patrol. He didn't enjoy group patrols, the other cats always tended to be annoying. Nonetheless, orders were orders.
The small white tome trotted over to the fresh kill pile to drop the vole before turning swiftly to meet his assigned patrol. Two young warriors and an apprentice. Hmph. As he approached, he heard Quietstorm declare that he would not be joining them and hissed in annoyance, prowling closer.
"Nice try," he snarled in annoyance to the other cat, "but I'm here now." He scanned the other cats with cold blue eyes judgementally for a moment. "We're heading out to the ThunderClan border, yes?" Without waiting for an answer he took the lead, flicking his tail sharply to signal them to follow.
