Rapidkit's head turned to the side. Another kit! "HI!" The kit practically screamed the word, happy to have someone actually want to play with her. "Yes! I wa- nna play!" Her shrill voice had excitement laced through it, because she loved playing! A lot!

Swiftskip was surprised. Glidingfeather was..stepping down?..She looked around at her Clanmates.

Darkfire looked down, noticing her daughter for the first time since the meeting had started. "Fogkit," he said, mild alarm in his voice. What was she doing out here? This couldn't be good for her health. What kit needed to hear about coyote attacks? He wrapped his tail around the small kit, tucking her closer to him. "They're not like us. We just need to be careful," he rumbled.

Darkfire was relieved as Mosswhisper visibly relaxed. "I don't think he is..." he trailed off as Buckstar confirmed his suspicions. Coyotes. He furrowed his brow, staying quiet in respect for the dead.
As Buckstar continued, he turned to Glidingfeather in anticipation, curious what she had to say which Buckstar couldn't. She was resigning? He blinked. And Buckstar had already decided on a new deputy? He looked around the clearing. "Who do you think?" he rumbled to his companion.

[BEAR.]

Blah, blah, blah. Great, the stupid dumb she-cat was stepping side. It was about freaking time.

Hareflood didn't know what the big deal was. So Glidingfeather was quitting her rank, who gave two dungs? ThunderClan going through ranks was nothing new.

His interest in the new deputy was minimal when he knew he'd never be chosen - the bottom of the food chain, spat on and disregarded. Instinctively, he tucked himself close as he watched Buckstar with guarded eyes.

He had half the mind to leave, to spare himself the embarrassment of being in the crowd of underlings, when a familiar cream-tinged pelt caught his attention. Oh, his ears flickered up slightly as Eveningmist stole his attention and he had to snap his mouth shut quickly to avoid drooling.

What a sight.. a large, powerful she-cat with a pelt that glowed like sunlight on the forest floor. Way out of his league, and yet.. a part of him couldn't help but for her to one day notice him. To let the others melt into nothingness, for him to be the Badass Tom she flocked to for salvation.

But he knew that was a fool's dream, so he settled for watching. Admiring. Until she noticed, and then he'd familiarize himself with the dirt beneath his paws.

➳ Sunchaser

As the meeting dragged on, Sunchaser found his mind wandering away from the topics being announced by Buckstar and more on the events of the past few days. His embarrassing strike-out with Sageflurry, then right after his blow-out with Sunpoppy and Hareflood. It made his eyes sting with tears how his friend had just turned away from him like that, and in turn flatten his ears a bit. At least Darkfire had noticed, though hadn't bluntly pointed it out, which he appreicated at least even if he didn't know the tom too terribly well.

The next part about Glidingfeather stepping down wasn't so much a shock, but did bring his attention back to the meeting at hand. So many changes were happening lately, and as the golden tabby tried to make himself smaller at the back of his Clanmates he couldn't help but wonder if one of those changes should be his departure from the Clan.

No. As much as he disliked a majority of ThunderClan for the constant belitting and bullying he received as a kit and apprentice - and even a warrior - he couldn't face a future of drastically unknown proportions. It wasn't in his nature.

So instead, he continued to watch Buckstar, the blank stare revealing nothing of the turmoil erupting inside his head.

"Oh..ok. I will", Fogkit muttered, nuzzling her head into Darkfires fur. Still shocked that these things could actually kill a cat, she began to cry. "Will the coyotes g..go away soon?", she asked, too focused on the thought of the coyotes to hear Glidingfeather's announcement.

Shiverkit stumbled back into the Thunderclan territory. It had been very cold out lately without the warmth of the nursery. He sniffed around trying to find his way back.

Rapidkit squealed loudly, from surprise and happiness. Mosskit just flew right into her! And now she was on the ground! She laughed, then, and attempted to push Mosskit off of her. @MossFlower123

Mosskit let out a surprised mew as she landed on the ground, she laughed. “do you wanna be friends?” She asked Rapidkit.
