He studied the she curiously, his eyes never leaving her shoulder. It seemed almost exposed, fearful. her golden fur seemed to try too desperately to hide it, trying eyes away from the scar. At least, it must have been that way for Dawnpaw. Noticing the alarmed look in her eyes flash in surprise, his own orbs narrowed with interest. What kind of foul memory could bring back such horror to a young cat's face? And to this kind of feisty creature? She may have have his off of the trail by making it momentarily, but that small second was proof enough that he had found a weakness of hers. That made him happy. It made him happy to be able to shove it in her dainty features, her knowing that she had been scared.
"Really? Look at the poor kitty, too afraid to admit anything. Poor, unfortunate soul. How was she must be." He mewed dramatically, scoffing. She still had a slight darkness in her eyes, and he assumed she was recalling memories. They didn't seem like good ones. For a split second, he almost felt bad... Just kidding! Hah. Little Dawnpaw. He though roughly, turning away from the golden cat. Hearing annoyance in her voice, he inspected his claws vigorously. Making a show of it, he smiled at the she-cat, eyebrow cocked.
"Well, that was unfortunate then. You sure don't act like a warrior. I'll keep your age in mind when I see you." He exclaimed. He was a bit surprised himself when the she-cat agreed. For a few moments, he was at a loss for words. She agreed? And to a truce? This was the best thing that had happened all day! He smirked, nodding.
"Alright. A truce then. I won't be a show off, and you won't be depressed. There." He explained, tail curled in a respectable gesture. He couldn't wait for some fighting actually, he'd been needing a good sparring partner. And from the looks of her, she was a perfect match. Or even too good of one. He felt a little tinge of jealousy as he thought of this, but buggered it off. He let himself be thrown around, that was his job as a mentor, after all, then rolled into the floor, exposing his belly.
"Aw, you got my fur dirty." He whined. If she was distracted enough by this, he would jump up at her attack, and barrel into her, possibly sending her flying off her feet. Before she would manage to get up, he would roll her over, exposing her throat. Then, he would test a law there, flicking his tail triumphantly.

DawnPaw merely shot a glare at HickoryBlaze's comment, how dare he mock her, he doesn't even have the slightest idea of who she is or what she's capable of. The Molly so badly wished to slap the grin right off his muzzle but she merely swallowed her anger, she had to get her anger under control moons ago...because usually she resorted to be angry rather then being upset when something went wrong...she wasn't one to cry easily."Don't make a mockery of something you can't begin to understand". She said this bluntly her dull eyes pierced right through the Tom before she returned back to her normal state.
DawnPaw's eyes narrowed slightly as he rolled onto his back exposing himself, it was obvious he was up to something, the shecat rolled her eyes at the whining, she was about to just pinning but she shook her head realising he wouldn't just be lying down for nothing. Instead she wracked her brain quickly for a different approach and then suddenly she thought of one. Quickly she lept at him but inside of aiming for his stomach she aimed for his shoulders, he seemed to be in a momentary shock when she managed she to get her paws pinned slightly on his shoulders instead of aiming for his exposed stomach. The cream shecat was unbalanced because of how she aimed but she tried her best to regain it while pinning him but unfortunately he used his strength to get her to now be on the ground and she was pinned. She hissed slightly in annoyance, mostly cursing at herself for not regaining her balance quickly enough. Her blue eyes narrowed as HickoryBlaze had a arrogant smirk on his face and she merely rolled her eyes."Unfortunately it seems like I'm at your mercy now doesn't it".Saying this she sighed but she refused to relax her tense muscles, she wasn't one to give up so easily.

Hickoryblaze smirked, although he did wonder himself what she had meant. What had she been through? Why did she act this way? Is there anyone she can talk to? Usually, cats had a reason for this kind of feisty behaviour. Bad background, possibly. Either way, she didn't want to talk about it. And though he liked to rub his golden excellence in front of everycat's muzzle, he decided to back off. It seemed too sensitive a subject to taunt at. Maybe, just maybe, if they wanted up to each other a bit more, he could ask. He could help. He liked doing that. Helping. There work stuck with his as he continued. Still puzzled, he resumed the training.
His eyes narrowed in confusion at her moves. Well, though his own one was quite obvious, he had expected such an angry cat to take the opportunity of scraping his belly open. Of course, that wasn't allowed, but if it was...? He studied her fighting carefully, watching her movements. Every thrash he made to test her reflexes. And Starclan, she was a good fighter. Almost too good, for moons of neglected training. A flash of suspicion flared in his eyes, settling there. Hm... When she gave him an opportunity himself, he let his eyebrows curve in challenge, pushing against her grip. He twisted from her paws, advancing. He managed to pin her down, smile radiating with sudden pride. Hah! There. His paws felt her tension, so he knew to be wary. But just one little sneer wouldn't hurt, right?
"It is, isn't it? Poor little sassy kitty cat."

Sandwhisker gave a gentle laugh as the other raced to follow her, shaking her head gently. As they exited into the territory, she paused to embrace the smooth wind on the morning before continuing to pad towards the river, "Yeah. I've seen you around though. My name is Sandwhisker." She bowed her head in a mild greeting before smiling forward as her paws padded

The apprentice blinked, "Um, alright." This cat was a lot different than her old mentor, that was for sure.

Following their instructions, she bunched her muscles and crouched, tucking her paws closer and making sure her tail was not dragging behind her on the grassy floor.

"What a fitting name," He commented idly, taken back by the raw confidence the younger warrior seemed to pose. Koistream couldn't help but feel somewhat honoured to be in such an influential cats presences. "I'm Koistream," He hummed to her, trotting behind.

She nodded her head respectfully, giving a gentle purr of happiness at their meeting, "It's a pleasure to finally get to know you." As their introduction came to falter, the slick she-cat knew now to avoid the silence. "Race you to the river!" And with that, the tabby molly bolted ahead in the direction of their clan's river, a happy laugh leaving her maw as she yelled, "Good luck! You're going to need it!" She teased.

"Luck? Darling with legs like these I don't need luck!" He flashed his canine teeth in a smile as his paws pounded upon the ground. The tom had powerful leg muscles from moons worth of swimming, but it was rare to find a cat in Riverclan who didnt posses a pair of killer legs. Even with such energy, it wasn't enough to stop him in time. The tom landed in the River with a Yowl that would scare any rodents that knew what was good for them. He splashed in the icy waters, a great water ejecting up as he fell in with a plop.

Seeing the fish bounce off of his head only caused more hysterics for the female as she sunk into the sand, pressing her belly against it as she pounded her front paws against the light mineral. Finally, she recovered enough to speak, still gasping a little, "Oh thank you.. you made my day!" With a few more chuckles, she stretched out, showing her belly to the sky as she poked her front paws in the river, questioning, "Did you feel the fish on your head?" She gazed at him happily, emerald eyes gleaming in pure happiness.
