His son was such a solemn little kit. He hadn't seen him have a temper like him or the sweetness and fondness of his mother, but those traits might come out soon.

Tigerkit jumped in the air and grabbed the mossball in his mouth. The kit jumped in the air and threw it back at his father. "Catch it papa!", he yowled. Tigerkit let out a playful laugh as he waited for it to be thrown back at him to catch.

She had a SkyClan scent (which would explain why he didn't recognize her), and he shuffled his paws somewhat anxiously before opening his mouth to speak. "Hi!" He mewed, loud voice ringing out in a way that even he could tell was over the top. Beginning to grow nervous, but too stubborn to back down now, the tom continued speaking. "I just wanted to welcome you, because... well, it's a big change from what you're used to. I bet you miss your home, huh?" He asked, his voice never lowering in volume. Ashpaw couldn't help that he was loud. He'd tried, and it hadn't worked out well for him. Anyone who couldn't accept it wasn't someone he wanted to be around, anyways. At least, that's what he told himself to make himself feel better. He glanced at the she-cat with an almost silent plea not to brush him off. Not until she gave him more of a chance, anyways.

( So sorry for the huge delay!!! )
Lightpaw saw the stranger approaching from the corner of her eye, but made no move to acknowledge him. Inwardly, she froze, anxiety prickling her senses. Oh no, oh no, banged around her subconscious until he stopped. The SkyClanner steeled herself with a tight - but friendly- smile and turned to him. Oh GREAT, HE'S CUTE. But this was fine, she was fine. Just small-talk. Just talk.
"Hi!" Oof, that was loud. However, other than a twitch of her ear, she didn't express displeasure further. "Oh, hi," she squeaked out, swallowing, mentally cursing herself for sounding so timid. She shifted her weight in an effort to loosen her muscles and appear more comfortable. "Well, t-thank you," she smiled, quietly clearing her throat. "That's very thoughtful of you. And, yeah.. I do miss home- it's very different here in RiverClan." She commented, a little wistfully, glancing over the clearing before dragging her gaze back to him. She took a moment to glance quickly over the tom. He was about her age, obviously RiverClan, and his peppery form was nice-looking. Just another cat, nothing to freak out about. But when she finally built up the courage to actually look at his eyes, she noticed for the first time the silent plea. Immediately, she felt more at ease, and her smile was less pasted. He's nervous too. "I'm Lightpaw," she offered.

Leafstripe sat outside the warriors den, his blind eyes focused on his paws. The tom stood up and grabbed a water vole from the pile. He took his food over to the same spot he was sitting at before. He glanced at the nursery for his adopted daughter, but she was asleep still. Leafstripe took a bite out of the water vole.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Lionstorm loudly snorted, curling his lip at Fallenstar. "Did you not hand him over? Because from what Frostflight told me, he was unaware of Grousestar's plans and your arrangement until Grousestar requested he come to SkyClan camp. Had you said no, I sincerely doubt Frostflight would have run off to join their ranks." He had known Frostflight for a long time, and.. to him, it seemed like the position was thrown onto him with minimal communication. Frostflight accepting the position was the issue: it told Lionstorm he wanted power, and was willing to leave behind everything he knew when offered a chance at taking it.
"The response should have been to tell Grousestar no. SkyClan is weak, look at them-- I can't imagine how they drove out the Evil in the Clans all those moons ago when they spent most of their time struggling to fend of the Dusk Syndicate. Grousestar would have been in no position to fight you on it, and even if we had done the merge, Grousestar wouldn't have had the guts to give you attitude over it when you were gracious enough to take in his defunct Clan."
But this was opening up one of the bigger issues Lionstorm had with what happened. "You didn't even talk to me. You just.. went with what Grousestar wanted, and you left me in the dark." As his deputy, Lionstorm felt like he should at least be informed of the discussion. The decision was out of the blue, and it left a bad taste in Lionstorm's mouth. Did he not trust him? "You realize that with this tension in their Clan, it puts our Clan at risk, right? If they decided to rebel against them, their Clan would be at a civil war in our camp. Not only that, but we have plenty of Clan-mates who'd love to jump into the fight for both sides. There are still cats who are disgruntled by the merge, and they'd take up the opportunity to drive SkyClan out if given the chance."
Lionstorm actually quieted as Fallenstar talked about killing Frostflight. As unhappy as he was with him, as much as he hated his choices-- he didn't think he wanted him to actually die. It was on a similar note to how he felt about Leopardshine, minus Frostflight trying to kill someone. Frostflight was a traitor in all senses, but death felt like an extreme they couldn't go back from. "What do you want to do if the Clans go at it? I can't imagine them wanting to break up just because we're yelling at them to stop."
It was hard to believe Fallenstar at this point when he just said he wasn't paying attention. "For someone so insistent on saying I can't show my fangs to you because I 'haven't earned that right', you're oblivious to what you did. I was defending our Clan and the Warrior Code, something that piece of fox-dung wasn't adhering by, and you made the decision to scold me in front of everyone. You told me I was a kit who belonged in the nursery-- did that not occur to you how awful that is?" Even his voice cracked, ears flattening back. "Everything I've done has been for this Clan, for the Warrior Code. RiverClan is at it's peak right now, and we were only driven out by the other Clans combined. You saw how the other Clans reacted: the only one who was against it was ShadowClan, and that's because they were put in a spotlight they didn't want to be in. Windystar is a pathetic excuse for a leader, and his deputy is one of the worse I've ever seen. What kind of cat condones treachery?" Especially in front of all the Clans? It was absurd!
Oh, Daisyshade. Lionstorm couldn't help but laugh at the name drop. "Did you mean Daisyshade? We are different. I'm not more focused on my kit drama than my Clan." Lionstorm didn't have kits, and he was glad-- they were sticky and gross, a commitment he didn't want to be held back by.
Was Fallenstar missing the point? "I didn't literally mean we should do that, great Stars. I was trying to give an example on how oblivious both of them are. You could burn down the forest and they wouldn't realize it for days. But," his ears twitched with interest. "I know most of our Clan is unhappy with ShadowClan's actions toward us, and I believe if we were to play this off right and launch an attack, we might be able to unify the Clan as one team again. You have to remember this, Fallenstar: not all of our warriors were injured by the dogs. The vast majority of wounds have already healed, and we don't need to take all of our warriors out to ambush ShadowClan. They're in a vulnerable position right now, and if we take advantage of that-- it'd be an easy victory for us."

He caught it deftly with a claw, and grasping it, he tossed it back to his son. He gave a playful growl, springingnat his son, grabbing at his flanks with soft paws. He laid on his back, holding his son in the air above him with his forepaws.
"The big badger has gotten you, Tigerkit!" He licked his lips, purring. "And its mighty hungry!"

Blazingcomet hated the water, and the mud, but even he couldn't deny that it was beautiful here. Every territory had its flaws (even SkyClan's, as much as it pained him to admit) and this place was certainly far from awful. It could've been worse. They could've ended up in ShadowClan. Blazingcomet tried to keep an open mind when it came to the other Clans, but that place freaked him out. Every Clan had good and bad cats, but the stories he'd heard... everything that had happened... it seemed like ShadowClan wasn't the best place to be. Blazingcomet tried to remain calm as Gingerblossom talked about Risingsun. He knew, of course, that he wouldn't be the only one who realized how absolutely incredible she was forever, but he hadn't expected the RiverClan cats to catch on so soon. Still, it seemed like Risingsun wasn't interested in her (like that) anyways, or... she would've told him, right? Of course. Gingerblossom tells me everything. She wouldn't lie to me, would she? That was almost unthinkable, and Blazingcomet quickly pushed the thought out of his mind. How weird would that be?
"Cute toms, huh?" He paused for a moment, before taking on a more mischievous look and leaning towards her in the same conspiratorial manner as before. "Did you talk about me?" It was a joke, of course, but Blazingcomet couldn't help the quick skip of his heart that happened directly afterwards. What if they had? What had she said? Good things? Don't be ridiculous. Of course she said good things, she always says good things. It was one of the many, many things he loved - or liked about her. "You're going to have to introduce me to Splashcloud. She sounds awesome," He purred. It would be good for Gingerblossom to have more friends here. He wanted her to be happy, more than almost anything else, and if he thought he could've done it on his own - he would have. But he couldn't, not anymore. Not since his little crush had started growing, and growing, and he hadn't done anything about it. Why haven't I done anything about this? Usually, by this point, he'd either moved on or given up. At this point, the tom had done neither. Apparently, Gingerblossom was some kind of a weakness for him. His gaze softened as she cut herself off, continuing a moment later, and looking away from him as though she was embarrassed.
"Gingy... did something happen to you?" He asked, keeping his voice soft, trying to keep the underlying tension out of it. She's okay. Relax. Don't push this. "Did... did someone hurt you, or say something to you? Are you-" He stopped, taking a slow breath to calm his voice once more. "You can tell me. You know that." As gently as possible, Blazingcomet wrapped his tail around her, coming to sit closer so that their pelts were brushing. The effect was instant, like a small shock that rushed through his entire body. Part of him hated it, wanted to pull away instantly... but he couldn't. It had a follow-up calming effect on his mind, like being in her general vicinity often did. She had a calming effect on him, and, whether he wanted to believe it or not, he loved her. It wouldn't matter how many times he told himself he didn't. This wasn't changing, and it wasn't going away, and honestly... he didn't want it to go away.
|
At his question, she nodded enthusiastically, her minty eyes blown wide. “Of course I have! And it isn’t gorgeous!” She smiled as she thought about her stroll through the territory she had taken. “I mean, it’s not Skyclan gorgeous, but it has it's own beauty to it that makes it stand out from everything else.” She Let’s out a purr, before her eyes widened as she seemed to remember something. “Oh also, there’s such horrible pretty stones and shells here! Not as many flowers, but the pretty stones make up for it.” Ever since she had come to a Riverclan, she’d abandoned wearing flowers in her fur. It didn’t seem appropriate to her to do in a clan full of water and si many other natural beauty. “Speaking of pretty rocks, I found one that had a golden tint to it that I want to give you. It reminded me of your.... eyes.” She trailed off a little, her own hazel going to look are his eyes. The eyes she found surprisingly calling, despite their vibrant color. And his gaze just always seemed to be full of so much wonder when he was around her. She didn’t know how to interpret that.
When he leaned towards her again with another question, Gingerblossom felt her ears heat up a bit. He was so close, she could feel the warmth radiating from him. Like the sun. He was her sun. “Umm...” She started, unsure what to say. They certainly had talked about Blazingcomet, but Gingerblossom’s mind was blanking in what exactly Risingsun had said. He said something about lucky... oh yeah! She gave her companion a bright smile and nodded. “We did talk about you! Risingsun told me he’s seen you around and thinks you’re “smoking hot.” Whatever that means.” She giggled, remembering the ridiculous conversation she’d had with the tomcat. “He then told me I was a lucky girl to have someone like you.” She purred, remembering how oddly warm she had felt after her friend had said those words. She did feel lucky to have Blazingcomet. He was her best friend! “And yes, I’ll definitely introduce you to her sometime.” She has a feeling Blazingcomet and Splashcloud would get along pretty well. They both liked to do this “flirting thing.” A slight frown found it's way to her face as she realized she did didn’t like the idea of a Splashcloud flirting with Blazingcomet. But the frown was short lived.
As he stepped closer to her and wrapped his tail around her, Gingerblossom’s heart rate picked up immediately. She barely heard what he said, all she noticed was the intense way he was looking at her. She gulped, her eyes wide as she she stared into his own, her nerves buzzing. “I-i learned what flirting is.” She blurted our dumbly, her nose twitching. “And i noticed that you do it a lot.” She then looked downwards, her ears flattening slightly. She still didn’t understand what flirting meant. But she felt embarrassed to ask. “What does it mean?” She asked softly, returning her gaze to his, her skin burning.

Tigerkit let out a squeak as he was picked up by his father. He began to wiggle, but scarfang was much too heavy for him. The kit did a somersault out of his dad's grip. "Your not going to eat this cat today badger.", he yowled in a playful tone. Tigerkit pounced on top of his father.

To her question, Timberspark blinked, his ear flicking. "Of course not! You're nice, not rude.." He trailed off, beginning up again after a few seconds. "But...you are kinda weird..in a very good way though." he grinned, squirrel-like tail giving a sway.
"Larkstorm.....urgh, he's weird in a terrible way." Just thinking about talking to the tom made his fur bristle, rolling the feeling away. "Ah,..we all have our flaws though. That tom just has many, many flaws." Timberspark sighed, a large grin appearing after.

DawnPaw blinked as if some side to her was relieved to hear that although she pulled a fake hurt expression and spoke in a sad tone."Weird? So mean~". She gave a small laugh afterwards before going silent at the comment about LarkStorm, she spoke softly."...That's true since I know I certain tom who has done quite a number of stupid things, Like that time he first met me and started rambling on about how cool my scar is~". She looked at him a cheeky smile on her face.

@GLaDOS
Scarfang let out a huff of laughter, grunting as Tigerkit landed on top of him. He let out a small growl, purring. His son might only be a moon or two old, but he was growing quickly. He fur was starting to get fluffier, not as sleek as his fathers. Probably came from his mothers side and her past as a kittypet. He made his voice gruffer and mewed.
"How can you be so sure, kitten?"
