a scarred dark blueish grey cat with minimal white markings and grey eyes
the kits stepped up, or well, bleedingkit stepped up, she wondered where the other ones were. she couldnt even come up with a plausible reason for missing your apprentice ceremony. kits didnt have anywhere to be except camp. odd. she half heartedly chanted for bleedingkit before turning her attention inwards.
rookpaw didnt pay the commotion much ear, and barely listened to the reassignments until dawnstar got to speaking about the missing cats. she didnt miss any cat she knew better than looking at them once or twice, but the move hadnt been very stressful, or well, it hadnt been something quick, and warriors should know their way around the territory well enough to find this place? it was weird to have a bunch of cats just disappear, worse than going around camp and realising someone you know isnt around because theyre dead. death is ultimate, this is, in the best case, mystery.
briefly caught in thought that this mustve been how it appeared for her former clanmates, just a bit less logical, only marigoldkit knew she was alive and in shadowclan, for all the others know she'd be dead. damn.
when dawnstars voice carried over to the dark apprentice again she lifted her gaze once again, only to mildly disappointed. mildly because she had known there was no chance for her, but mostly because she didnt want to admit to the way her heart ached. this time, she didnt cry, she sat, neutral expression and stared at the back of the cat in front of her.
rook was sure the next best choice was to focus on dawnstar, better especially because she wouldnt look like she was paying no attention and hey! dawnstar had listed her along a lot of warriors in a mystery list. white tipped ears twitched in interest, what could she be invited to? oh. battle patrol.
even though dawnstar pretty much immediately moved on to speaking about lynxshade, rook was still pretty much stuck on the thought that she would have to fight her former clanmates. all the fantasies or bringing her claws down on every cat that had wronged her, and still, this announcement left her in cold shock. the apprentice shifted, eyes darting around the crowd briefly, to see if anyone else was as shocked she was coming as herself. it didnt look llike it. stars she was going to battle with riverclan. prove herself. maybe mossfreckle would like her more if she brough him the pelt of one of cats she had shared a den with moons ago.
another mention of her name ripped her out of this particular spiral of thought, looking for lost clanmates? man what had she done to get this much involvement.

“Stickbug? I’m not a stickbug! You’re just short! Like those stubby little voles that you hate.” He teased back with a mischievous glint in his blue eyes. Although… it was maybe a little mean to compare Magpiepaw to a vole. Stickbugs were cool! They were all long and they looked like sticks… camouflage… or something like that. That’s what someone once told him.
He yelped as Magpiepaw dragged his head down, although he couldn’t help but laugh. She was always so unpredictable. It was what made her so entertaining. “I bow down to you, O great and mighty Magpiepaw.” He quipped, squatting down like she demanded. “I am but a mere worm groveling at your magnificent paws.” He monologues dramatically for her. “That make you feel tall? Are you gonna respond to me?” He chuckled.
“I’m still not done with training. I got a lot to learn still. And no. I won’t be joining the raid. Although I would love to be in a real live Clan battle! I’ve had a bit of battle training too!” He rambled excitedly.
Then he whipped around to listen to Dawnstar. She talked about the new territory and everything, and then about Lynxshade’s disappearance and… breaking the alliance?! That made him sad! He liked WindyClan and their cats. But it was probably necessary… and if Dawnstar decided she probably had a good reason…
@Marigoldwhisper - sorry for short & lazy post

"Why pick them when I can do it so much better?"
Magpiepaw? A vole!? Absolutely not! She was far more sophisticated to be a vole of all things. She opened her mouth to say something witty back, but Gracklepaw was already running his stickbug mouth. Something about her being absolutely amazing and him being a worm. Sounds about right.
"Finally!" She smiled, actually having to look down to meet his blue eyes for once. Achievement! She's reached superiority! "Some recognition, worm. But seriously, get up before I smack you." She raised a paw threateningly, though by her expression it was clear she was joking. As much as she wanted to smack a lot of cats, smacking Gracklepaw in particular was off the table.
Soon enough, the announcements caught her like a fish on a hook and Magpiepaw had her brown eyes glued to the Grimpeak, her ears perking. Lynxshade, gone. She never knew much about the enforcer, but apparently she fleed. A traitor was how she'd be remembered in the ranks of Shadowclan. What a pitiful way to go down. She lived though. Magpiepaw hoped she'd be the one to bring them back to camp, their body limp in her jaws. One day, that fantasy would be realer than real.
For the time being though, Magpiepaw would just have to catch up on training, much like Gracklepaw. Waiting was sooooo boring. Why not just punch and kick the stuff that the warriors tell them about? No need to wait!
Tuftedtusk blinked as his name was called for the raiding party, claws sliding out and grasping the earth, tail swishing in satisfaction. He would show those fish-faces what it meant to mess with ShadowClan.
His ears perked when Dawnstar mentioned new enforcers were needed. He was never one to want power, but maybe now was the chance he needed. He wanted to rise and be an Enforcer. But to do that, he would have to prove himself to his leader and clan first by doing all he could.
With a swish of his tail, he went over to a corner of camp and laid on his side, beginning to groom his unkempt fur. He hadnt rested since the twolegs came and forced them to move.

Briarsplash's ears perked up and her eyes glittered with excitement when she heard her name among those who'd be going to raid RiverClan. She couldn't help the small, toothy grin that parted her maw at the thought, a bolt of energy running through her. This raid was going to be bigger than anything else she'd participated in, and the chance to prove herself was looming before her. The large she-cat nodded, confirming Dawnstar's words that she'd be there and give her all. Her claws flexed in and out of the dirt below her paws, as if thinking about how it'd feel to slice through some RiverClan fur right about now. What an honor to be chosen! Perhaps Dawnstar was really starting to notice her after all? The premise made the she-cat's fur bristle slightly in anticipation, and she gave her chest a quick lick to smooth it down.
At the news of Lynxshade's betrayal, Briarsplash's grin turned into a scowl, feeling bitterness. How dare that Enforcer betray her Clan like that! The mere thought made her blood boil. She'd gone and spilled their alliance to the fishes... well, who cares at this point, it was already done. RiverClan would be ripped to shreds anyway, and then the alliance would be dissolved. ShadowClan wouldn't be affected too much — they were strong and would walk right on through this, as they do. Briarsplash did make a mental note that if she saw the spotted traitor, she'd gladly let her claws rip through for a good lesson.
At Dawnstar's next words, Briarsplash perked up once more. New Enforcers, eh? Hm... she'd never seen herself qualifying for it, having to earn respect through tooth and claw here. But having that title would certainly garner some respect for her... the prospect made the large warrior's heart slightly pick up, imagining herself in the coveted role. She almost could've sworn that Dawnstar eyed a few cats as she spoke, herself included, though Briar chalked that up to her being a little too excited at the idea. Shaking it off to act casual, Briar nodded along with her leader's words until the end. When they were dismissed, she walked away, her mind stirring with new possibilities.
One thing she knew was that she'd give her all in the raid, and not let anyone doubt her again. Not in her mind.

Re: ShadowClan Grimpeak
Pigeonpaw
Her friendly grin faded and she blinked in mild shock as the other apprentice... 'Punishment??' Then Willowpaw started looking real strange. Was she ok? Had she actually scared someone? Suffling her paws a bit, Pigeonpaw offered a kinder... less energetic grin. She wasn't too sure what Willowpaw went on about, but they seemed calm so mission accomplished! Either way, she wasn't given any time to respond since Dawnstar talking again. Right, meeting stuff again.
New borders, new places, don't go to darkwatermire because scaryberries, rules and stuff, a new medcatapprentice (oooh cool, cheer-time!) a few cats to come a battle (was Yellowtwist getting picked to fight for Shadowclan's honor? Hell yeah he would show em!! "Yellowtwist, go kick their butts!" she half-whispered in his direction), and then a few more cats to search for lost cats and- The grey apprentice's ears picked right up and she reached out a paw to shake Willowpaw beside her. "ya heard that too right?" Hell yeah she was gonna find so many missing cats! She was good at finding things, mostly little items but she could surely find cats too!
Lynxkit began strolling away from the Grimpeak, swishing his little tail. He had hoped he would become an apprentice- he was practically six moons now, and too big for the nursery. Queens would often complain that he'd be too rambunctious or large for the nursery. Whenever he'd play, he'd often end up knocking into a kit or a queen unintentionally. Oh, well, he thought, there was always next moon.

Ashkit spotted Lynxkit.
They grinned, approaching him.
“Hey, Lynxkit! I GOTTA tell you something. Real important, yeah?” They stared expectantly at the other kit. What they would do next would be absolutely diabolical.

Quietpaw
Shadowclan apprentice
Purrk: Mind reader(permanently active )
39/100
Next victim? Quietpaw hadn't a clue what intrested Quillpaw so much in this string of murders but she wouldn't entertain it. Why waste time thinking about some cat on a killing spree that didn't even affect them? Her time was precious, she'd not waste it on a single, worthless murderer. It wasn't like they were the only one in the clans right? Not special at all.
Wait...she was wasting time thinking about them now...ugh, why did she always have to go against herself?! Anyways, somthing that might be worth her attention was happening at this very moment. Bleedingkit's apprentice ceremony. Vivid cyan hues turned to Dawnstar once more as she began speaking again. And in a few words the -kit part of her brother's name was now -paw. Almost rolling her eyes at her grandmother's warning, she started scanning the crowd for the new apprentice.
Bleedingpaw, however, seemed quite eager to show off his new rank as he soon came running through the crowd calling her and Sleepypaw's names. As he neared her she gave her own form of congratulations "Good for you, I suppose." Snarkiness toned down to a softer note she did her best to sound supportive but it lacked the expected emotion. Empty? Well she tried, but hopefully the rare glimpse of the more mellow side of her would make up for it. Lips turning upwards slightly, the faintest of smiles showed on her maw for a few seconds. A smile just for Bleedingpaw's eyes and no one else's. This was only shown on special moments for special cats. A gift of sorts. Though it vanished as quickly as it appeared.
With her baby brother off to meet his mentor, she turned her focus to grandmother again. Reassignments. Not for her so she didn't care. Mabye she should be grateful she wasn't among the apprentices called out for new mentors; as annoying as Hillstrider was he put in effort to train her and that was the least she expected. Though, he hadn't earned the paw's respect yet, to be honest hardly anyone had, she tolerated him. That was the most pretty much everyone got.
Now, onto a reassignment that was a bit more important. At least the way Dawnstar announced it made it seem more special thatn the others. A new medicine apprentice...and who might it be? None other than Grousepaw! ...Who the hell was that? Being indirectly pointed to where the new med was by her brother, Quietpaw couldn't help agree with him. Grousepaw did look miserable. Upset. Angry even...Why? Staring at them for a moment longer than Quillpaw, she gave a small tilt of her head before going back to her ignorant state. Curing her puzzlement could wait, she had other things to do.
Oh, and now her mother was retiring to be an enforcer again...like moving to her original rank would change her attitude. Lostspark had yet to prove herself to actually be deserving of being her mother. If she put in actual effort...mabye Quiet would give her a chance, but for now, she wouldn't alter her approach towards the grey she-cat. Nose twitching at Quillpaw's sarcasm, she couldn't help join in. " Bet she's going to be much more competent dealing with cats than plants" As if.
Oh, and now the battle with those fish-cats. And, of course, she wasn't coming. A shame really, she would've liked to have her first taste of blood. Guess she'd just have to be patient and wait for the next battle. In the meantime she'd have to work her tail off to become a decent fighter...should be easy enough.
An exile? How intresting, and this time an enforcer? Lyxshade? The splotched molly knew of her but had never personally interacted with them...now she was glad she hadn't. Why would she want a conversation with incompetent cats who couldn't keep their mouth shut? No way she'd enjoy it, if anything she was quite happy the fool had had her tongue ripped out. If Quietpaw came upon the former Shadowclanner she'd be sure to try and get rid of her. Because why not?
Mildly intrigued at the prospect of empty enforcer spots, the apprentice straightened slightly. Her father had been demoted which was quite unimpressive of him really but that opened a new opportunity for her. She could become a better enforcer than her parents, she was certain. If she gained the rank then perhaps she'd get some respect. Cats wouldn't bother her so much...how lovely would that be? Plus it came with some extra perks so Quiet would attempt to earn the rank.
With the meeting coming to a close the dark furred she rose to her paws. As always she was exhausted after the meeting so she needed her time to socially recharge. Enough cats for her today. Giving one last glance at Quillpaw, she said her farwells "Have fun chasing after lost furballs, brother" She remarked dryly before retiring to the apprentice' den. Good thing she wasn't going to look for missing idiots.
Ashkit spotted Lynxkit.
They grinned, approaching him.
“Hey, Lynxkit! I GOTTA tell you something. Real important, yeah?” They stared expectantly at the other kit. What they would do next would be absolutely diabolical.
"Hm?" Lynxkit glanced over at the kit. He had seen them around the nursery but hadn't spoken to them much. Maybe he wanted to play? Lynxkit turned to face them, "What is it?"
