Crookedpath recoiled. "Uh, I, I," he was suddnely stumped. Thinking back on something he could say to defend why he should be driving her out. Not that she would be listening to him anyways. The Tom then straightened out.swallowing hard and looking her dead in the eye. "That's right, loners don't belong in the twoleg place or with kittypets nor do they belong with clans. That's why they should be driven out until they finally give into it" he hissed gaining a sense of confidence.

As beautiful as they were, they brought back the darkest times of her life; and her ears went back completely, her tail beginning to twitch at a faster pace as she felt anger rising within her. Well, I can't take it out on him, or I would. She thought, with a frustrated hiss.

"I won't be sitting around camp being useless while the rest of you go about your days normally, I can contribute too!" he retorted almost instantly. It was like he was expecting her to say some of thing like that. All his life he felt like he had to prove himself to his clan mates just because he looked just like a fox. It was almost scary. Although he had grown attached to a few cats that accepted him as is. He appreciated it and merely wanted the rest of the clan to see him as normal, but even in the battle, the cat he fought said he intimidated them and since then, Foxspring had been rather touchy about most things. The warrior was thrown away from his memories as his fur spiked along his spine. The tension radiating off Forestpelt was enough to cause him a little bit of distress as well. What was wrong with her now? She was almost as irritable as him, maybe more today than normal. His yellow gaze watched her closely, almost expecting her to turn and lash out at him, but with this in mind, he didn't say a word about it knowing that if she wanted to say anything, she would tell him herself.

"This may come as a surprise to you, but it's not considered 'useless' if you're hurt. Why do you feel like you have to prove yourself to everyone, anyways?" Forestpelt asked, her green hues flashing for a moment. She was frustrated with the tom. Why wouldn't he just rest if he needed to, why was he acting like...like he had something to prove? As far as she could tell, he had been an active member of the Clan before the battle. A bit of snow fell in front of her and she hissed with displeasure, her green hues narrowing. Realizing her companion must find her strange for doing so she turned around again, examining him for a moment before speaking. "There was an incident last leaf-bare. A rather unpleasant event occurred that time- it's left quite the impact on my memory." Forestpelt explained, before clamping her maw shut. She hadn't been forced to justify her actions to him. Granted, they must have been strange. But he didn't know her, or anything she had done...and she wasn't quite sure she wanted him to. There was reason to have caution here. Forestpelt knew she was treading on dangerous grounds now and if she wasn't careful...this could end up exactly like Dawnstorm. Only I think Foxspring doesn't actually want it to, and I get the feeling Dawnstorm did. Forestpelt thought. That thought was enough to knock a few of her doubts out, but she was still determined to be careful. The last thing she wanted was to get hurt again- and certainly not by him.

Small and soft pawsteps could be heard crunching through the snow. This was frostpaws third time coming out of the camp since she became an apprentice. Despite the cold, she loved it. So open and so feree feeling . Her mentor , Blackrose , had allowed her to go by herself for the first time and how frostpaw adored it . The only thing ythat broiughyt her down now was the fact that she was lonely . Her sister was probably back at camp , as was her mentor. And who knew where that goof of a tom Sapphirepaw was . so deep down she secretly wished fpor the company she longed for

Suddenly frostpaw heard something behind her. The she cats blue orbs flashed and she whipped around, looking for the notice quickly before racing up a tree to stay out of sight and to get a better view. She held her breath, being as quiet as possible as she looked for the cause of her fear

" Sapphirepaw, don't sneak up on me like that . and yes, it is amazing " . he scowl turnex into a smile as she saw her freind . she padded slowly up to him, tail swishing . she walked in a few circles around him before stopping in front of this tom , her eyes flashing with an unexplainable emotion.

"How are you liking being an apprentice ? You !UST enjoy being able tyo roam and sneak up on others " Frostpaw teased , pawing at sapphires nose and giggling
