Yarrowpounce let out a soft sigh, his shoulders slightly sagging and fur soaking wet as he began to approach the warriors den. He had decided that practicing his swimming skills would be a good idea, I mean after all, the more you practice at something the better you get, right? Well he didn't do much better than when he first started, and now he was tired and cold and wet. Maybe he should at least clean himself before he went into the warriors den, so that he didn't get his nest all sopping wet too.. Deciding that would be the best course of action, the mostly white tom with little brown splotches here and there noticed Shadestrike just outside the den, causing him to pause and flick his tail slowly back and forth.
'Do I really want to start up a conversation...?' A small frown flickered across his muzzle before he realized that, well, he wouldn't have met Leopardblaze if someone hadn't started a conversation, or any other nice cat. It was time to stop being scared and antisocial all of the time, do something different for a change. Clearing his throat softly, Yarrowpounce approached the she-cat.
"Mind if I, uh, j-join you out here? I um, have some cleaning to do, ha." His voice was shaky and uncertain, but he was doing his best to sound friendly and joking, but he didn't sit down yet, he just stood there awkwardly until she would give the okay, or tell him to go away.

"StarClan help me--!" Shadestrike yelped, the fur on her pelt rising in surprise and quickly settling when she realized it was Yarrowpounce. "Oh!"

She licked at her chest, trying to hide her embarrassment. "No, not at all! It's a wonderful night for cleaning, after all." The tip of her tail quivered as she stifled a mrow of laughter. "Touching up on your swimming, huh?" Shadestrike shifted, allowing room for Yarrowpounce to sit near her.

To say in the least, the yelping terrified the flighty tom so when she jumped, he squeaked out in fear and quickly flinched away, ears flattening and eyes widening, focusing on her to see what she would do next. But it appeared that he had only just startled her and that she wasn't going to attack him or anything. Even still, his heart still thundered in his chest and he didn't make a move closer, not yet. He would release a breath slowly through his nose, trying to calm himself as she licked her chest, calming down much quicker than he did. Slowly he would give himself a shake before watching as she moved over slightly to allow him room next to her.
There was a dry click in his throat as he went to gulp away the rest of his fear and let the small moment pass, but those things kind of stayed with him. "I s-s-suppose it is," he mumbled out, glancing to her as he slowly settled down, front paws stretched forward slightly and back legs tucked beneath him.
At the question, he looked over before nervously laughing and nodding his head, looking back to his soaking wet coat. "Yes aha, I-I wanted to practice i-it a bit more, since I'm not.. I'm not very good at it, but.. Well I didn't feel much better today either.. I-I kind of just want to give up, but I know I can't because I live h-here now and it's a way of life." Blinking, the tom realized he had spoken much more than he wanted to; he was just getting used to spilling his thoughts more often. He heard it was a good thing to do, instead of keeping them trapped inside. "T-This is.. Silly of me to ask but e-everyone's scent is getting muddled together now.. Are.. Are you Skyclan?" Yarrowpounce really didn't even know his clanmates well, he was embarrassed to ask.

"No, don't worry. That wasn't a bad question at all," Shadestrike blinked slowly at the skittish tom, tucking her paws under body and curling her tail around herself. "I'm RiverClan." She studied Yarrowpounce's damp fur, ears flickering in curiosity. She had never had a true conversation with one of the new SkyClan cats, mostly from her being a bit intimidated by their natural strength, but Yarrowpounce seemed to be easier to interact with as she found his emotions easier to read.
Shadestrike began to purr gently so as to set Yarrowpounce's nerves at ease, even if only slightly. "I don't think you should give up on swimming. I think you'd grow to like it! I'd just give it a few more moons to get used to it." She advised. "If you'd like, I could give you some tips, depending on what you're having trouble with."

Prey was plentiful, at least, and there was no shortage of water, so its not like it was all that bad. in the corner of the clearing was a small white form, and when he uncurled from his ball, you could see pale pink ears and nose, and bright blue eyes blinked open. It was Littlepaw, one of the RiverClan apprentices. He struggled into a sitting position and glanced around. Thirst struck him so he stood and shakily padded towards a waterhole, and when he reached it, he lowered his head to let his bright pink tongue lap up the clean, clear water. Suddenly a shadow fell beside him and he jumped, glancing up startled . He blew out a sigh of relief to see Mistpaw, a fellow RiverClanner, there. Little was very jumpy today; the recent battle with ShadowClan has made him skittish. He let out a gentle sigh and continued to drink, before glancing back at Mistpaw. "H-hello, Mistpaw... h-h-how's it going?" he mewed nervously, shaking again. He wasn't sure if the other tom would snap at him or not.

Lotusheart nodded in agreement. She understood why these cats were going out of their way to get these feathered creatures now. She'd just stick to her fishing, however. When her mate asked her a question, Lotusheart's eyes saddened a little bit. That was true. "It doesn't feel like it, no. I'm focused on things in the nursery and you're out here doing your warrior duties. It's kind of clashing with us," Lotusheart let out a sigh, leaning to press her nose into the ebony tom's shoulder.

Coconutbreeze let out a warning growl as SkyClan was insulted. She didn't care if she was insulted, but she still felt very strong loyalty to SkyClan and not this RiverClan merge event going on. "Maybe you should just keep on stumbling away now, yes?" the tortoiseshell suggested bitterly. Her ears were flat against her head. "Would be better for the both of us, fish-breath," she finished. She was running out of patience and tolerance for this feline and she would simply walk away if he didn't.

Jasperpelt rested his head against hers with a sigh. "We'll work things out. I'll try to come visit you in the nursery more, I... I should be with our family, anyways," He mewed. As much as Lotusheart loved kits, it wasn't fair to make her do all the work. He should be helping (as well as he could), and besides, was it really work if he was getting to spend time with his family, too? He didn't see as much of them as he wanted to, these days. He barely saw them, really. "We'll work things out," He repeated, a final affirmation before he slipped back into silence.

How dare she! Goosejaw knew the smart thing to do would be to walk away, to leave thiS SkyClanner sitting here by herself for some other poor cat to trip over, but his pride had taken a hit. When had he ever taken the high road, anyways? With his fur bristling, Goosejaw drew himself up, frustration evident in his tone as he began to speak. "I have had it with you SkyClanners, and your-" pretty eyes- "Pretty - petty, nasty comments, and your-" soft-looking pelt- "Soft-looking bodies, and everything about you! What is your problem?" Okay, so a couple of minor stumbles. They were nothing to worry about. Goosejaw was ashamed that he found her pretty, yes, but at least it didn't go beyond that. She still sucks, anyways.

"Waiting to become a warrior at this point. We have all worked so hard. I mean, we passed our assessments, we are fully ready, we just need the ceremony." She twined her tail with his happily, beginning to purr. She gazed at the sky, closing her eyes for a brief moment.

His body now trembled slightly. He growled at himself, and sighed. Stupid multiple sclerosis he thought, shaking his head. He gave Mistpaw a tiny smile. "So, uh, what do you think would happen at the Gathering this moon? I decided not to attend, cause why go? It's just going to end in disaster..." he was curious to hear the other tom's answer.
