Morning Mask
Noticing that she was supposed to be on a patrol, Morning mask went over to the group and sat down. Staring at the cats that where already here in silence, she really didn't want to be on a patrol currently. She had much better things to do, or not. Morning mask tried to make the most of the wait.

Shadestorm wasn't sure what he had expected. He had hoped the dog would have the brain to listen to the deputy of Shadowclan himself, but apparently not. Apparently expecting Grimhound to do anything expect to lie down with a belly full with prey he hadn't lifted a whisker for was too much. "Sadly you have no say in who is or isn't on patrols. I do and I say you are going on a hunting patrol with Elmshadow, Rufflefeather and Antpaw. Understood?" His voice was clam with a hard edge to it but it wasn't enough for him to order around the dog any more he just had to do something more. "Dog." There, that felt better. He wouldn't let the warrior get away with freelancing in his clan. You pulled your weight or you were out.

When Dawnstar wasn't here Shadestorm was in charge and he wouldn't allow any slaking in his ranks, especially from Grimhound. He didn't have the power to demote or exile the warrior but he had the power now, and that dog better understand that and quick.

Under normal circumstances, words would've bounced right off of Grimhound. He'd been called every name in the book - and then some. The large tabby didn't care about any of it, and in reality didn't have the capacity to feel shame for the nicknames he had acquired.

But the moon spent in the medicine den, listing to Redshrike cough and Bouncyball stutter had made his patience wither away. Amber eyes narrowed slightly as his head swung around to study Shadestorm. Pathetic. A cat who acted high and mighty but hadn't the faintest scent of skill to back it up. Dawnstar and ShadowClan seemed to have a revolving door of deputies lately, perhaps this tom was just another quick swing in and out.

"I do apologize, Shadestorm," the hound began as he rose to his paws, his massive figure stalking towards the deputy. Long, hooked claws scored through the ground as he kept his head low as if he was stalking prey. Coming to stand before him, Grimhound let out a snort of amusement, amber eyes looking him up and down. "I had no idea Dawnstar thought it wise to let the squirrels be in charge of who sends out patrols." A jab at Shadestorm's ThunderClan heritage? Grimhound made it a point to lurk around camp to catch any juicy gossip or rumors he could. Not for himself, simply to keep spreading it - true or not.

A chuckle came from the depths of the hound's chest as he peered closer at the deputy. "Now, why don't you try telling me to go on patrol again, I might've just... misheard you. I'm closer now, so I'll be able to hear better," he stated, his trademark sadistic grin stretching wide over his face before he had even finished his sentence.

My, what a spectacle this would be! Finally some action. With his shoulder fully healed and the limp nearly gone, Grimhound was itching for a little taste of battle - if that was within this Clan of brainwashed cats who couldn't think for themselves, then so be it.

His icy-blue eyes narrowed to slim slits as the dog spoke. His insult didn't seem to affect it one bit but he felt good saying to anyways. Insults and badmouthing others wasn't his usual way of fighting but it did feel rather good to just throw some bad words and names at someone, but that was just a slip-up, he was deputy and above the dog.

His ears were pinned back as Grimhound began to walk towards the deputy, with unsheathed claws at that. And- had that dog just mocked him for his parents shift to Thunderclan?! It wasn't like Shadestorm was any less of a Shadowclanner, infact he was even more loyal since he had come back to Shadowclan to serve his true clan, and looked who was deputy now!


The dog was getting on his nerves and Shadestorm wasn't taking any of it!
"I said; You are going on a hunting patrol with Elmshadow, Rufflefeather and Antpaw. U.n.d.e.r.s.t.o.o.d?" He said it with an unnecessarily loud and clear voice, almost screaming in Grimhound's face, just to make sure the dog could really hear him this time...

He knew that if Scarpelt had been here she would have started arguing with Grimhound just as he was, then if two cats went at the dog at once maybe it'd shut up. But at the same time he didn't want anyone to come up and defend him, this was his fight and he could handle it just fine on his own.

He rushed over to Stagnight, or, who he thought was Stagnight, honestly, he had only heard the name and felt, embarrassed, to say the least. Wait, hunting patrol? Had he learned hunting, no he hadn't. . .heh, great, this was just a day full of terribleness, huh?

' 'Um, I'm here Stagnight.' '

Ughhhh why did you say that? Now he's just going to be annoyed at you and, what if this is the wrong cat? Whatever, just wait for Stemhop and you should be good, after all, it can't be to bad, right?

Vixenpaw sat impatiently, waiting for the other cats in the patrol to appear. The longer they waited, the more likely it was those ThunderClan squirrels might decide moving the border would be a good idea.

While she waited, she kept a subtle eye on the fight that was happening between Shadestorm and Grimhound. While she wasn't going to get involved (she was just an appretncice after all, and it really wasn't any of her business) she certainly wanted to see how Shadestorm would handle himself against Grimhound. Both were formidable warriors, but Grimhound certainly had Dawnstar's favor when it came down to it. Hopefully this wouldn't jeopardize his position as deputy, Vixenpaw thought he was quite suited to the position.

Ravenpaw was a little confused about being asked to go on another patrol just after they got back, but appreciated being noticed anyway. They had just been along the bunny border with two of the most boring warriors on the planet, and didn't even see any bunnies. Hopefully Riverclan would be more interesting.
"Okie dokie!" they exclaimed, setting off for the camp entrance.

Sparksong sighed, why couldn’t Dandelionpaw come again? She would have to ask. Patrols where just… a… bit more fun with her apprentice. She padded slowly over to the apprentice who she was not that familiar with and sat down.

“Who are we waiting for?” she asked flicking her tail towards the apprentice.

Sparksong honestly had no idea, she had only heard her name. Nothing else. She drew a yellow paw over an ear, brushing the soft fur back with a swipe.
