Rosepaw didn't flinch even as the kit turned around and came rushing out of the nursery, loud, but it's good to be excited about training. She nodded her head, and stood a little taller, "I'll teach you the basics of hunting, or would you rather a lesson about patrols?" She tilted her head but assumed that the energetic kit would likely prefer a more paws on lesson than a lecture.

*dustkit seems to think for a moment, before sneezing* uhh, patrols! *Dustkit seems exited to finally be able to do something*

That actually surprised her a little bit, she had expected an energetic kit like Dustkit to want to do something active. No matter, she has yet to recite all the information she had on patrols so this would do good for her as well. To further secure the information in her mind for future recall. The russet tabby sat down, "Well there's four types of patrols. Battle patrols, hunting patrols, herb patrols, and border patrols. Most are very straight forward, hunting patrols go into the territory and hunt prey to return back to camp. Herb patrols get assigned herbs and go out and find them for the medicine cats, and border patrols go to the borders we share with the other clans and we secure them." She sped through, summarizing what Flintclaw had told her.

"Battle patrols can be against other clans or against predators, like for example the otters. Bumblestar led a battle patrol out against the otters to get rid of them. Though Flintclaw has gotten rid of foxes, badgers, and other creatures as well." The apprentice paused, looking at Dustkit, "Any questions?"

Her eyes narrowed, "If you are sick, you better go and see Wolfhive and Hollowpaw- you should be more careful with illness." While she hadn't really been very old during the tail end of the Thunderclan Plague she was well aware of what had happened, and blamed her mother partially for leaving the clan during such an important time. She frowned and moved on, "Flintclaw didn't really say anything about missing cat patrols. Cats disappear frequently, we wouldn't be able to spend so many resources on finding everyone." That's what she told herself, why no one has looked for Drizzlemom and Kes.

*dustkit looks confused at Rosepaw* Sick? I'm not sick! I think it's the dust. *dustkit licks a paw* what if someone important goes missing, like Bumblestar?

It made her upset. Very. Upset. The suggestion that someone like Bumblestar would go missing so suddenly- of course, there's a million reasons that such a suggestion would hit a nerve for the russet tabby. What Bumblestar told her about previous thunderclan leaders, about the sacrifices that she barely understood but the leader made daily, to her missing family, to her traitor birth parent and outsider other. Bumblestar wouldn't disappear, not without any clues on why and how to find and save her.

"She wouldn't, don't be stupid as to suggest such a thing. Bumblestar would go down fighting for Thunderclan sooner than disappearing." Rosepaw's tail lashed behind her, "But in the case that other important cats go missing, then I assume its the same, unless there was evidence on how to save them."

"I'm glad you're doing good!" Butterflypaw said cheerfully "Well, besides the mentor thing, that's gotta be annoying. Maybe dad could help you with that, once he's back!"

Oh, right, Wasp asked how Butterflypaw was too.
"Pretty good!" She answered. She was good, of course. Duh, a little worried about their dad and the whole otter patrol(mostly their dad and Ms Bumble), but nothing bad could possibly happen to such tough cats, right?
It's now got her wondering what an otter even looks like.

Anyway, enough thinking about that, they'll be fine.
"Who is your mentor?" She wanted to know who wasn't teaching one of her super cool siblings.

Dustkit blinked, his ears twitch slightly at Rosepaw’s sudden outburst.
“I—I didn’t mean it like that,” he mumbled, pawing at the dirt. I just thought… y’know, what if? I didn’t mean to make you mad…
He glanced up at her with wide eyes. I know Bumblestar’s strong. I just didn’t think asking a question was bad… plus, it was a what if, anything can happen after all!

Rosepaw's was still slightly seething at the suggestion of someone important to her once more disappearing, but with Dustkit's explanation even she had to calm herself down. It was just a hypothetical, it was something that she would ask as well, it is a curious thought after all. She sat back on her haunches and her tail was wrapped tight around her front paws to keep it from further lashing. "I shouldn't have gotten upset, you were asking a question. I just, don't like the implications of that question." She looked away briefly, before returning her gaze to Dustkit.

"Bumblestar, as well as our other high ranks have proven themselves stable and dedicated to the clan. It isn't likely they would disappear without us knowing how they disappeared. Bumblestar told me herself that she won't ever leave Thunderclan, not like her predecessors did."
