What Evie whispered to him, Jay pricked his ears, turning to her. He gave her an uneven look, with a slight tilt of his head. ''Really?'' He said, more surprised than anything. ''I never noticed it.'' He shrugged. Nor, did he really care about it. But who knew that Carlos and Mallory would be so perfect for each other? Apparently, the flirt queen next to him. As she gave him her flirty smile, he gave a charming smile back, not thinking much of it. Then he had leaned into her, lowering his voice. ''What are you planning on doing? Playing matchmaker now?'' He pulled away, chuckling.

Soon Mallory was beside them, and she gave the two odd looks as if accusing them of doing a crime. Knowing them, it was most likely that they did do a crime, but then she only rolled her eyes and fell in pace with them. It was no use for the group to be separated two by two. She didn't really trust Evie and Jay being alone too long. Of course, she trusted her best friends, but she couldn't decipher how come she didn't trust them at being alone. They were quiet the cunning felines.

''Yall okay over here?'' Mallory finally spoke to them. Jay looked at her, and nodded.

''Never better.'' His whiskers quivered. ''Finally glad to see the two of you catching up.'' He says, and gives Evie a wink. He had a plan, most likely to embarrass the two. ''Sometimes I wonder what took you guys so long back there?''

''The two of you left us!'' Mallory stated.

''Oh, the excuses, Mal!'' Jay piped. ''We all know how much the two of you wished to be alone.'' He teased, giving her a playful glare in his hues. Mallory, in respond, shook her head, letting out a deep sigh.

''Whatever,'' She finally said, ''Believe what you want.'' The she narrowed her own eyes, feeling a twinge of playfulness. ''Unless it's the complete opposite. The two of sure did run off as soon as we set in place! Hm?'' She eyed them both-- from looking at Jay to Evie, from Evie to Jay. ''Sorry if Carlos and I ruined your sweet moment.'' She mused, smirking at them. Jay muttered something incoherent for her to hear, but he said nothing more more and continued on.

''I know making fun of these Skyclan crow's food is going to be the highlight of my day!'' Jay exclaimed,trotting about as his muscles rippled through his thick pelt. It was known that the tom worked out...quite a lot. Not only from fighting--but running, climbing, sprinting--all the above that contributed into his muscle growth. And, as they passed a few she cats, eyeing the group curiously. Jay slowed his pace to get a good look at them, and one tilted her at him. Jay didn't respond to them, only gazed at them until his group walked past. One thing he learned was that staring at she cats either made them feel special, or made them insecure.

Jay was a flirt as much as Evie, but he limited himself to broken hearts. Perhaps Evie didn't care about which hearts she broke. Jay, on the other paw, only cared depending on how much close he was to the she cat. Other than that, it was indifferent to him, and he usually didn't care if he hurt anyone at all.

Mallory fell in place, giving a gentle shake of her head. But, the excitement was clear on her maw as she waited for them to get into the border. Oh, how she'd love to ruin some of those skyclan cats' day!

Lilith's head had been racing since the battle. They'd been attacked, taken by surprise in a sudden flash of fury. They had lost. Letting out a defeated sigh, the light-furred healer had resorted to sorting out her herbs in the clearing with a weary expression, the healer's den much too full for her to work in there. So many cats were injured, and others had died as well- she'd barely had contact with anyone she knew well since the fight's end, only knowing two things about anyone she really cared for. Her daughter, Chiaki, was alive and doing alright, and her third litter of kits were resting in the nursery peacefully, though she'd happened to give one away to a passing cat as she'd kitted outside the Dusk Syndicate's territory, the she-cat being much too small to ever do well here. She thought she'd done the kitten a favor, and had even given her a name- some kind of going-away present. Mae. Short and sweet, like the time she'd spent with the kitten.

The ebony tom limped in, anger pulsing through him, wounds lining his neck and shoulders. He saw Lilith and couldn't muster a smile. "Lil...!" was all he managed to get out before collapsing in the center of the clering, his breath quick and hoarse. He rolled to his back, his face showing his pain. He opened his eyes, and looked at her. Her long grey pelt was beautiful as always. "We lost... And Kovu's gone!" he coughed, cringing in pain. Kovu attacked him as he tried to go for a kit, and he stopped him, attacking him. Now he was furious, and he was going to plan his own little attack! He was ready for battle. The loss SkyClan had suffered would be enough. Both sides were weak. And they took his son! "Kovu's turned against us, and that tom I told you I attacked? He's alive, and he had a mate and a kit with him, but I;m sure they are both dead now." he chuckled murderously, then let out a yell in pain. "They... They will pay for this! I swear my life on it. I will talk with Halite and we will plan..." he coughed.

Grabbing a couple herbs quickly while the tom blathered on, her ears drooped slightly at news of Kovu's disappearance- though she'd never found herself very inclined to pay attention to her second litter of kits- maybe it was because she was a bad mother, but she'd never seemed to bond with any of the cats who carried her blood besides a daughter from her first litter, Chiaki. "Calm down. Kovu will get what he deserves in the meantime, you know." The healer huffed, wrapping the cat's wounds with cobwebs. "Sometimes it's like you take everything personally. Your son can make his own choices." She'd called him 'your son'. Was it because she didn't feel any connection with him? "Besides, you have three- two new kits to worry about. Have you even seen them since they were born?"

"I never thought my own son would betray me! He was going to inherit what I started! Take over everything that I have done!" he went on, and sighed as she mentioned the kits, but then his face changed into one of confusion. "Two? I thought you had three." he corrected, looking at her, his blue orbs gleaming. Then he remembered that she had two sons, Cassius and Ferox, and then a daughter, Mae. She was the one that looked most like him from any of the two litters Lilith had. He remembered three, and now he was beginning to worry one died. "What happened and who is missing?" he asked, wincing as she pressed against his wounds with cobwebs and herbs. "Careful!" he barked again.

"...You're welcome to try and heal yourself, if you keep trying to insult me like that." Lilith huffed, her fur bristled in irritation as she kept applying cobwebs, not making an effort to make her movements more gentle. "You have more than one kit. Let one of the other ones 'take over'." She'd happened to like Kisa, but he was gone now- and then he asked about what happened to her third kit. "She was too sickly for the Syndicate. Rumor was she'd be killed soon if I didn't do anything first. Gave her away to a passing Clan cat, one that smelled like pines and swamp." The healer told him, her eyes icy with the truth she was speaking. She didn't want her to die, plain and simple- if she'd let it happen, she reckoned Onyx would be furious.

He was. "You gave her away!" he snarled, his own fur bristling. "I understand your intentions, but to a filthy clan-er! Damn it Lilith!" he stood up, and took a pace or two forwards. "Fine... Fine. Pine and Swamp, huh? Isn't that ShadowClan? When she becomes a trainee, in six moons time I will bring her back, whether the clan likes it or not I will bring her back." he went on to say, and turned to her. "Any objections?" he growled. "Considering you started this! Ugh, nevermind. My wounds will heal. And if Kovu shows his face in this place again, he will be killed." he growled, looking at her.

"That's it! I'm done with the hell you put me through! I'm glad you gave her away, cause at least then, she wouldn't have a dysfunctional mother!" he snarled, giving her a shove. "I wasn't there, because I had more important things to do! Oh, but what about you? You locked yourself in this den away from then as soon as they were weened! At least I talk to them!" he yowled in anger. "You always want to get rid of them! You think they are curses, and all because you made a mistake to go with Bleddyn! I'm not him!" he yelled, and turned away. "It isn't me who is the bad parent, Lilith." he growled lowly. "It's you."
